It features a French wine tour in Saint-Émilion (a French commune in France).
Bordeaux wine is famous around the world and for good reason. The wine tour was in the top 10 best things to do in Bordeaux
The electric bike wine wine tour was amazing and one of the best things to do in Bordeaux. We caught the train from Bordeaux to Saint-emilion which was very easy and affordable to do on a budget.
We also went on a 20 euro Bordeaux bakery tour of the city where we went to the best bakeries in Bordeaux France - also one of the best things to do when you visit Bordeaux.
We visited in July and there was a heatwave in the city of Bordeaux. The Bordeaux weather was extremely hot and sunny.
Flights from London to Bordeaux (or just flight to Bordeaux airport in general) are very reasonable with easyjet. You can also get the train to Bordeaux from London or from Paris.
We stayed in an airbnb in Bordeaux and it was reasonably priced and very comfortable. But there are lots of hotel Bordeaux, which are also available in the city.
We also rode around the city on bird electric scooters and visited the Darwin project in Bordeaux (a must see attraction in Bordeaux)

Wine tasting Bordeaux - Our cruise ship arrived in France so we took a shore excursion to taste wine, visit vineyards and chateaus! ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel non-stop —
Quick recap — we're on our first cruise, departing with Princess Cruises on Sapphire Princess from Southampton UK. Today we arrived in France and got to spend some time in an incredible region, Bordeaux. This is wine tasting country for sure, Bordeaux has an incredible reputation for some of the best tasting French red wine, the most amazing chateaus and a particularly classy scene.
As far as wine tours in Bordeaux go, this was more of a wine tasting and vineyard tour with included history and lunch. It's a classy scene in Bordeaux, so it's not just about drinking and forgetting, there's an elegance here that we tried to capture the essence of in the vlog.
Bordeaux has always been one of those places we never really imagined we would visit, so when we found out our Princess Cruise was going there it was simple, a shore excursion and wine tour were a must! If you get the chance to visit France and Bordeaux be sure to scope out as many vineyards and chateaus as you possibly can!
Safe to say we love cruise life! Having our bags unpacked for a week onboard the ship, travelling over night, new locations to explore almost daily - this is special! Check out Princess Cruises here —

WOAH. bordeaux, if i'm honest I didn't have high expectations because we booked a SUPER last min trip (tagging on with a couple of friends after one too many G&Ts on a summer's evening over a curry!). So I didn't even have any time to do any proper research! HANDS down bordeaux is in my top 3 favourite cities on earth! AS you can totally see in the video, Bordeaux is absolutely gorgeous, the architecture is like 18th century and PRISTINE. On our walking tour the guide explained to us that the government actually made it the law about 20 years ago for everybody who owned a property to ensure that the outside face of their buildings need to be polished and cleaned to perfection. Harsh, BUT it really makes the entire city gorgeous, clean and beautiful! If you're a fan of wine, Bordeaux is the place to go because it is the world centre HUB of wine pretty much. The wine is fantastic. There are tonnes of wine tours you can book on to and they are situated in vineyards just outside of the city, it's a beautiful coach ride - I don't think there's literally a bad spot in bordeaux? it's all gorgeous! The food was incredible too.......you know like the co-ops & tesco expresses we have in the UK? yeah Bordeaux don't bother with convenience stores like those - literally every food store was BASICALLY a patisserie offering fresh pastries, cheese, meats & everything in between OH and obviously amazing wine too.
PLZ PLZ book a trip to Bordeaux if you've been thinking of going because - promise, you will NOT regret.

Our first chateau we went to that felt like a DREAM. Our lovely guide took us for a tour around the vineyard and rooms where they make all the magical wine. We then got to try two different types and I learned about 6 extra adjectives to describe my reds!

Our second chateau for - you've guessed it - more wine. Woohoo! This was SUCH a beautiful spot too. After two glasses, we were invited to the lavish dining room where we enjoyed 4 courses of French food and the corresponding drinks to go with each meal. What a way to end our time in Bordeaux!

After returning to the ship, we went to Alfredo's Pizzeria for (four) slices of the action. This was voted the best pizza at sea and it was a super tasty one!

Cruising to FRANCE (You Must Visit Bordeaux)
On our final stop here on our cruise we have arrived in France to explore the French countryside at the cute town of Bordeaux.

You know today is going to be a special one when we wake up in the morning in North of France and start our day by trying wine in a French Chateau...wow!
After many glasses, we jumped in our bus and drove to the next French Chateau to well try more red wine but at this one we also had a 4 course French meal for lunch.
After saying our goodbyes to France we made our way to the final stop - Guernsey, a self governing British isle where we had cream tea and enjoy the sunshine!
