New Orleans Food Tour | Bring on the Cajun Food!
We spent our Christmas and the few days prior in New Orleans. As former residents of the southern US, we were very excited to eat our way through the city and get true southern comfort food that we can't always find on the west coast!
From Cajun, to Creole, to French, the food scene in New Orleans is booming. Some restaurants stick to their tried and true style, while others offer plates that are a hybrid of all three.
Some highlights include:
The Governor - where we devour chicken and waffles for breakfast.
Johnny's Po Boys - where we eat one of the best fried chicken po boys of our lives.
The Praline Connection - where we tried yet another unique and delicious style of gumbo.
Cafe Beignet - where we wait on line for a long time, but it sure is worth it!
Our food tour of New Orleans was filled with so many delicious foods and beautiful restaurants. Our only regret is that we couldn't visit more! New Orleans has such unique cuisine that even a dish like gumbo varied from restaurant to restaurant.
If you enjoyed our food tour (and we hope you did), we have other food tour videos available to watch!

NEW ORLEANS WALKING TOUR | French Quarter, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street
New Orleans is one of the most unique and romanticized cities in the United States. The vibrant French Quarter is always bustling with activity and celebrations. Bourbon Street is a must-visit for both the tourists and the locals. Local cuisine is a centuries long fusion of various cultures and styles. For us, the biggest WOW moment was when our waiter asked, would y'all like that beer to go?.
Our walking tour of New Orleans focused mainly on the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Since we were staying in the French Quarter, it was easy to walk around and access the famous sights and smells. Traveling only by foot, our adventures took us through Bourbon Street, Canal Street, the Riverwalk, and Jackson Square. These are some of the most popular destinations for tourists, and also the areas that feature some of NOLA's finest restaurants.
