Epic Food Tour of Mallorca! || What and where to eat and drink
A vast sprawling and luxuriant four-day gastronomic binge through the paradisiacal island of Mallorca. We tried to eat as much local dishes as possible - and yes I know there are things we missed shining a light on *cough* sobresada *cough*. But I think we had a pretty wide variety.
As usual below is a shortlist of what we got.

MALLORCA | SPAIN | SUMMER 2018
Have you ever wondered how THE GOOD LIFE looks like ? Watch this video to get an idea of what I mean exactly !!!
Want to be one step closer to THAT GOOD LIFE that you so much deserve ? Subscribe to my channel here ↪︎
In this video, you can see my experience of visiting Palma de Mallorca with my girlfriend, this summer of 2018, for the 3rd time in my life.
In 2016 I made a life-changing decision to work and live in Mallorca. This was one of my best decisions I have made ever in my life. Words cannot explain how amazing that summer of 2016 was and how amazing my experience was to live and work there. To better understand this, please go check my summer 2016 video here:
Imagine an island with turquoise-blue waters, secret coves, soft golden sands, lush green foliage, rugged mountains, picturesque villages and a vibrant capital city. And drop that island in the sea only a couple of hours flight from most European cities. Interested? Read on...
Mallorca and its capital Palma de Mallorca are overflowing with character, although, like us you'll most probably want to come for the sunshine, beaches, and half-decent G&Ts... Generously furnished with luxury hotels and villas, Mallorca is one of the world's sailing hot-spots, locally produced foodie delights and wines, and first-class restaurants with Michelin-stars, have only added to its appeal with the rich and famous.
But that's not all... An island steeped in history, Mallorca boasts charming villages, historic sights, an artisan and cultural scene, and popular events taking place throughout the year. If relaxing is your thing, grab a sun-lounger at a beach-club or a take a boat trip; or stroll through the old streets in Palma for some leisurely shopping. Whatever you want to do on this island won't be a mistake. You will have the best time in your life here. Guaranteed !!!

Restaurant Basmati in Palma, Mallorca
Immerse yourself in an evening of exoticism at Basmati in Santa Catalina. This romantic restaurant with its special ambience is the place to go for delightful Indian cuisine in Palma city.
Basmati, while authentic, is not your average Indian restaurant. Diners are presented not with a standard à la carte menu, but rather a tasting menu that changes every day based on what the creative chef wishes to cook using the best and freshest ingredients he has in the kitchen.
Whether at lunch or dinner, you’ll feel transported to an atmosphere of eastern refinement as you savour a succession of delicious dishes. Beautifully, delicately flavoured; full of colour and wholesome substance, the food at Basmati earns many loyal devotees who return time and time again.
The gracious attitude of the staff and the chef’s love for cooking shine through the experience, while generous portion sizes mean you’ll leave feeling more than satisfied – at a very fair price.
If you feel like a taste of the east while staying Palma, try Basmati restaurant, located in the foodie district of Santa Catalina, for elegant Indian cuisine and surroundings.

Restaurant Nuru in Pama, Mallorca
It’s light filled, modern, lively and the food is to die for. It’s Nuru restaurant in Palma’s trendy Santa Catalina district, and abcMallorca went there for lunch.
Palma de Mallorca is one of the emerging gourmet destinations in Europe. Santa Catalina is gaining a reputation for being the ‘foodie quarter’ of the city – and Nuru restaurant is one of its stars. With its walls covered in popping, vibrant artwork by Hollywood actor and painter Jordi Mollà – a friend of the owner – this is a cool meeting spot for in-the-know groups of friends and couples.
Nuru is Swahili for light, vitality and new beginnings, and the philosophy at this ever-popular, perennially booked spot embodies the same. Chef Chus (formerly of El Bulli, Nubu and Arzak London restaurants) and team innovate with flair and heart to bring diners something out of the norm.
Using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients and Asian flavours, they create menu offerings to please the palate and warm the soul.
Come and join us in this short video – and get a taste for the kind of exciting food that comes out of the kitchen. Even better, make a booking to see for yourself, next time you’re in Palma’s coolest barrio, why Nuru is one of Santa Catalina’s top favourite eating spots.

Interesting & Helpful,
Michelin Star Restaurant Marc Fosh in Palma, Mallorca
Marc Fosh has Michelin written all over it. Come inside to see why this Palma restaurant justifies its star. Exquisite setting, surprise-me cuisine and those little touches make it great.
One of seven Michelin star eateries in Mallorca, Marc Fosh also boasts the feat of being the first ever British chef in Spain to win the award. Together with head chef Toni Martorell, he works a unique kind of culinary magic in old town Palma. Situated inside the 17th-century former monastery that is now the five-star Hotel Convent de la Missió, this place wows with the inventiveness of its food.
The restaurant’s central courtyard, all natural light, contemporary art and urban décor, is a fine setting for discovering creative takes on modern Mediterranean cuisine. Expect to be joined by some serious foodie types as you tuck in; though this place is far from pretentious.
Service is attentive yet unfussy, and the set lunch menu in particular represents surprisingly decent value. Evenings bring excitingly different tasting menus, comprised of an array of seriously tempting culinary goodies.
Artful gourmet delight, without haute-cuisine snobbery. We’re sold on Marc Fosh.
