This was an absolutely amazing site! It was not located on my itinerary and cannot be found in guidebooks. I don't know why. My guide knew about it because she lived around the corner from it and used to do her homework there. It is an ancient mansion with several large gardens still filled with furnishings and antiques. Because it is not well known, it is very quiet with few visitors. The site is very large and quite impressive. The mansion was built during the Qing Dynasty by Hangzhou's richest resident. The house is in an amazing state of preservation. It is still filled with the original owner's furnishing. The compound has four large and beautifully crafted gardens, each with its own flavor. I loved this place! Its state of preservation is astounding! It feels like the owner's out for the day and you have sneaked into his home. There are small rockeries and gardens hidden everywhere and the building's are gorgeously decorated. Each room of the house is filled with furniture. It's not like most old mansions, this house is filled with furnishings and has little items like glasses sitting on tables and dishes piled up in the kitchen. It makes the mansion's atmosphere seem somehow more real and not touristy. The gardens are exquisite and gorgeously designed. I can't say enough about this place. You gotta check it out if you are in Hangzhou! It is simply awesome!

Hangzhou is an amazing place to visit and experiencing life there is a joy. We loved seeing the variety of dancing that spontaneously popped up around the lake. It was a highlight for the locals as well as they were able to let their creative juices flow!
Hefang Street and the surrounding walking streets are a quiet break from the busy city streets. With only pedestrian traffic, you could meander without the worry of the cars. The architecture was beautiful with boutiques selling custom crafts and trinkets and eateries were everywhere offering unique Hangzhou traditional foods. We ate at various vendors trying all different kinds of delicacies.
Hu XueYan Mansion was just a short walk from Hefang Street outside the gate at the southern end of the pedestrian area near the Catholic Church. The tall white stucco walls hide the gem found inside. The mansion is well worth a 2-hour visit; hire a guide and go on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Once on the estate, it’s difficult to navigate with all the passageways, small rooms, outdoor gardens, and courtyards. The guide will give you background information that you would never otherwise have so it’s well worth the time to get one. Take time to look at all the details; it’s truly amazing!

胡雪巖故居
【胡雪巖故居】位於杭州市元寶街，是江南晚清富豪宅邸的代表作，為清同治十一年（1872年）胡雪岩共耗資10萬兩白銀所建，號稱【中國巨商第一宅】。

2003年，三台电脑、一台传真机，支付宝诞生，并在之后的13年，犹如贪吃蛇一般成为浩如烟海的庞大数据库。
支付宝的总部大楼位于杭州西溪谷，占地面积达到50亩，可容纳8000人共同办公，除去办公楼外，还将引入大量的商业设施，周围有多达7000多平方米的绿化部分，可供市民游玩。支付宝新大楼整体呈现为“之”字型，由美国NBBJ担纲设计，这家公司也同时为星巴克、亚马逊、谷歌等著名公司设计过总部大楼，可见阿里和马云对于这座大楼还是很看重的。
