FORREST GUMP POINT MEXICAN HAT (HD)
This is the northern route through Utah to Monument Valley and was used as the location in the movie Forrest Gump were Forrest (played by Best Actor Oscar winner Tom Hanks) ended his cross-country run.
Forrest Gump Point is a vantage point for the shutterbugs to run wild. The best photographic opportunities is early in the morning. There tends to be less traffic in the morning, and the light of the rising sun illuminating the landscape is quite fetching.
Now, Seat Back, Relax, and enjoy watching this video.

FYI:
It is located in Mexican Hat, USA, it gives the most amazing view of the “road that leads nowhere”. While Forrest Gump adds incredible value to the site, the picture of a long, seemingly endless road leading nowhere is remarkable.
Forrest Gump Point | Monument Valley, Utah | Cute toddler runs like Forrest Gump!
Forrest Gump Point is located on Scenic Byway 163 in Monument Valley in Utah, at mile marker 13 (about 15 minutes away from the state line with Arizona). It is half way between Monument Valley Tribal Park, Arizona and the town of Mexican Hat, Utah.
It was named after the fictional character Forrest Gump from the famous eponym movie (1994). This point is where Forrest Gump (acted by Tom Hanks) ended his cross country run, after running for more than 3 years, and decided to go back home in Alabama.
A sign has been put on the side of the road to determine where he had stopped. There are different locations where you can pull over on both side of the road. The road is not very busy but it requires caution if you take photos or videos on the road. You will probably see other tourists taking a photo there - not only because of the movie but because the scenery is amazing.

Monument Valley Scenic Drive & Forrest Gump Point - Utah, Arizona/USA
Video about the fantastic and gorgeous Monument Valley at the Utah/Arizona border in the USA.
Monument Valley is best known for his wonderful landscape and of course as a filming location.
John Wayne and director John Ford made some classic western movies here. Forrest Gump, Once upon a time in the West, Back To The Future III and many more movies were filmed here, too.

US 163 Repaving - Forrest Gump Hill
UDOT is starting a new repaving project on US 163 this week. The project will improve mobility and safety on 10 miles of highway, incluDid you know Forrest Gump ended his years long run here in Utah? UDOT is starting a new repaving project in that area this week. The repayment of U.S. 163 will improve mobility and safety on 10 miles of highway, including the popular Forrest Gump Hill.
Over the years, hundreds of people have stopped at mile post 13.4 to memorialize the fictional character's run and take in the breathtaking views. Makeshift pullouts and old pavement have caused safety concerns for engineers. Crews will replace existing roadway, install five improved pullouts, and modify edge drop-offs.
For more information on this project, click here: the popular Forrest Gump Hill.
