Fort Custer Recreation Area is a beautiful state park located near Augusta, MI (several miles west of Battle Creek, MI). The park offers great hiking, camping, swimming, picnicking, and horseback riding opportunities. In the winter, you can also go ice skating and cross country skiing although the day I filmed this video, it would not be possible as it was almost 60 degrees Fahrenheit that day!

This is a video I filmed on one of my hiking adventures in the Fort Custer Recreation Area in Augusta, Michigan just outside of Battle Creek. The park consists of over 3000+ acres, and 25+ miles of trails.
Camping at the Fort Custer Recreation Area in Michigan
Located in Southwestern Lower Michigan, the Fort Custer Recreation area offers camping, three lakes for fishing, canoeing, swimming, and boating, as well as access to the Kalamazoo River. Also, there are many bike and equestrian trails, for riding throughout the park.

Fort Custer Mountain Bike Trails in Augusta, MI
Crew decided to go hit up Fort Custer in Augusta, MI. Warning we don't use nice language, lots of talk about pickle juice, nipples, and other unnecessary things that have nothing to do with riding. The gimbal broke half way through the ride so this is only the first half. Feiyutech gimbal seems to unplug itself and crap out. Other than that we had a blast and smiles were had all day long.

Our 2019 trek to visit all 103 state parks in Michigan as part of the state's celebration took Ari to Fort Custer State Recreation Area in Southwest Michigan. The state park is popular with mountain bikers and hikers who enjoy the miles of trails and numerous landscapes.

Fort Custer MTB Trail over the bars
Tracey and I rode Fort Custer on our 16th Wedding Anniversary. Definitely one of my favorite trails. She went over the bars at 8:10. She was ok and we rode on. It was a gorgeous day 80 degrees and sunny.
