Parking and Entrance is FREE WEEKDAYS ONLY since its winter season, otherwise the Regular $10 Parking/entrance fee normally applies. $10 Parking Entrance FEE per Vehicle only on Weekends and during Holidays like president's day etc even during winter season. Any other Season other than winter $10 fee per vehicle always applies. Park Hours are up until Sunset any season. Sometimes you can stay in but most times Sheriff will have everyone leave.
YOU CAN ALWAYS GET IN FREE AFTER 6PM DURING SUMMER SEASON [Hope this doesn't change]
You can get in free any season but lately they close the park after sunset and sunset in winter is 6pm so technically they'll kick you out so going after 6pm will work only during summer season where it doesn't get dark until around 9pm[sunset].
In the Past you could stay in all night up until 1am but those were the days.
AS ALWAYS FOOT TRAFFIC OR BICYCLES GET IN FREE !! SO IF YOU WALK JOG OR BIKE INTO THE PARK [during open hours] ITS FREE ONLY CARS/VEHICLES PAY ENTRANCE FEE[depending on season]. LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME OR PARK AT THE PARK AND RIDE AND WALK IN. NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN THE PARK AFTER SUNSET UP UNTIL 6AM.
PARK AND RIDE PARKING LOT IS ON VIA VERDE EXIT FROM THE 57 FREEWAY. THATS THE ONLY PARK N RIDE LOT THAT I KNOW OF AROUND THE PARK. THERE ARE 4 ENTRANCES TO THE PARK CHECK ONLINE MAPS OR PARK WEBSITE FOR DETAILS, RULES AND ALWAYS CALL IN BEFORE COMING AS THE PARK IS SOMETIMES CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC BECAUSE OF MANY DIFFERENT SPECIAL EVENTS YEAR ROUND, CUTBACK SCHEDULES, CONSTRUCTION ETC.
POWER BOATS, JET SKIS ARE ALLOWED, KAYAKS /INFLATABLES / SAILBOATS ARE ALSO ALLOWED BUT SINCE RULES CHANGE CALL IN FOR CURRENT REGULATIONS/RULES
NO WADING IS ALLOWED ANYWHERE EXCEPT THE BEACH AREA ONLY DURING SUMMERS WHERE LIFEGUARDS ARE PRESENT AND SWIMMING AREA OPEN OTHERWISE KEEP OUT OF THE WATER
FISHING IS ALLOWED BUT NOT SURE OF FISHING RULES SO GO AHEAD AND CALL IN AND CHECK. THEY STOCK IT WITH BLUEGILL WIDEMOUTH BASS CATFISH
GROUP EVENTS / CORPORATE NORMALLY NEED PERMIT SO CALL IN FOR DETAILS
MOUNTAIN BIKING AND REGULAR BIKING ON ITS TRAILS ARE ONE OF THE MOST COMMON ACTIVITY DONE IN THIS PARK ONE OF THE BEST AROUND LOS ANGELES COUNTY IF OT THE BEST IN SAN GABRIEL VALLEY WHICH THIS LAKE IS SPECIFICALLY CLOSEST TO.
IF YOU HIKE UP THE HILLS JUST BE AWARE THAT SINCE THIS IS SEMI WILDERNESS THERE CAN BE ANIMALS OTHER THAN RABBITS…WATCH OUT FOR POSSIBLE SNAKES, COYOTES ETC.
KEEP WATCH OF YOUR CHILDREN AND SMALL PETS AS A PRECAUTION. THE HIKE UP THE HILLS ARE GREAT WAY TO EXERCISE AND ENJOY THE VIEW.
IF YOU HIKE TO THE RV PARK/AIRPORT AREA THERE IS A TRAIL LEADING TO THE JUNGLE/AMAZON UNDER THE COVER OF TREES ITS A 10 MINUTE HIKE AND QUITE AN EXPERIENCE TO BE UNTER THE COVER AND IN THE SHADE BUT LATELY THEY HAVE TRIMMED THE AREA SO MUCH IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE THE AMAZON JUNGLE ANYMORE BUT STILL WORTH TO HIKE AND SEE. THERE IS A STREAM CROSSING AT THE END IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE SO BE PREPARED TO JUMP OVER OR GET WET DEPENDING ON THE SEASON FLOW OF WATER.
SO PLEASE COME AND LASTLY ENJOY YOUR VISIT AT THE LAKE BUT PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN !!

2018 GoldState XC #3 Bonelli Park California | Pro Men | Full Race
This was round #3 of the GoldState Pro XC Mountain Bike Race Series in Southern California. This was the non-UCI pro race. The UCI HC US Cup was the same day in the afternoon so I couldn't do both this year. That was a bummer!
