Classic cars from around Michigan and across the United States made their way to Little Bavaria for Frankenmuth Auto Fest, driving past River Place Shops to the festival grounds. The festival returns in September 2019.
Frankenmuth Michigan Summer Tour 2019
Today, we are in Frankenmuth Michigan for summer tour around the city :). Recently, we were up in Mackinaw City, Michigan and it reminded us a lot of Frankenmuth (also known as Michigan's little Bavaria) so we decided to take a quick trip out to this beautiful little Bavarian town.
To start of our tour we decided to take a quick spin around the River Place Shops, which I believe was built by the same developers that installed the Mackinaw Crossing mall up in Mackinaw City. Everything pretty much looked the same as it did the last time we were in Frankenmuth. We did stop to eat a couple of pasties at the Pasty Haus.
After finishing our little meal we headed to downtown Frankenmuth. The main street in Frankenmuth is beautiful in the summer time. There were lots of beautiful flowers and plants all along the roadside.
Near the end of our walk we decided to pop into the Raus Country Store for a look around at all of the fun collectibles inside.
Overall, we had a fantastic time in Frankenmuth and I believe we both enjoyed it even more than Mackinaw City.

TRI-Bavaria athletes compete at Frankenmuth RIver Place Shops
The TRI-Bavaria Triathlon in August 2018 includes a jump from the Bavarian Belle River Boat, a quick swim in the Cass River and a run/bike component in and around Frankenmuth before ending with a fun awards ceremony at River Place Shops.

Driving Frankenmuth Michigan on North Main Street also known as Highway 83 to South Main Street into the historic German Bavarian district. Frankenmuth is a city in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,944 at the 2010 census. The city is located within Frankenmuth Township, but is politically independent. Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, which bills itself as the World's Largest Christmas Store, is located in Frankenmuth. The most popular nickname is Muth, but the city is also nicknamed Little Bavaria

While I was in Frankenmuth a few weeks back I saw that they were doing a food truck festival the second Thursday of every month through September. Food and beer always piques my curiosity. They had tons and tons of food trucks as well as two micro breweries doing a Battle of the Breweries
