The Locals of Frankston Exhibition
Project at Frankston Arts Centre| On the 8th of December 2014 photographer and author Richard Simpkin is going to be at Cube 37 Frankston Arts Centre to commence shooting for a photographic exhibition The Locals of Frankston. Richard plans to photograph the diverse range of people that make Frankston such a unique bayside city. “I'm hoping to meet people from all walks of life, photograph them and get their story. It's going to promote Frankston in a positive way and I hope we can all come together for this wonderful exhibition”. Richard plans on photographing the locals and then getting them to write a brief story about themselves, who they are and their connection to Frankston. Their image will be presented with the individual’s handwritten story that will no doubt make for a very unique and personal exhibition about the people that makeup Frankston today.

Seen by more than half a million people worldwide the international theatre sensation Shadowland, direct from the USA returns to Australia with their enchanting tale of illusion and dance.
Through their unique fusion of shadow theatre, illusion and dancers, audiences are mesmerised as dancers using nothing but their bodies transform themselves into faces, cars, buildings transporting the audience into the Shadowland.
Performed by internationally acclaimed dance troupe Pilobolus known for their incredible illusions, Shadowland was conceived after their appearance at the 2007 Academy Awards. It was the first show of its kind to combine shadow theatre with dance, and has since inspired many similar productions around the world.
