Amsterdam Nightlife: TOP 15 Bars & Clubs
This is my ultimate Amsterdam nightlife guide featuring the Top 15 bars & nightclubs which I carefully selected including places such as TonTon Club, Wynand Fockink, Club NYX, Kopstootbar, Jimmy Woo & Paradiso. Subscribe to my channel ► for weekly videos!
Amsterdam is a small town of 820,000 people but has many great bars and night clubs neatly located in close proximity of each other. I recommend you start your evening with a few drinks at Hannekes Boom located at the Amsterdam waterfront after drop by Amsterdam's oldest alcohol tasting chamber Wynand Fockink to try traditional Dutch Jenever from which modern Gin originated and drop by TonTon Club Center for a great meetup place to play classic arcade games but if you are a newcomer to Amsterdam than you must join the Amsterdam Pub Crawl to mingle with locals, expats and travelers while you learn everything about the latest bars & nightclubs in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is breathtaking from the canals that's why my cousin and I rented a canal boat so we could have our own private tour. We rented the canal boat from canalmotorboats.com conveniently located west of Amsterdam Central Station and rents for 40 euros per hour but make sure to reserve a few days ahead.
Amsterdam has 2 major nightlife districts called Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein these squares are loaded with bars and night clubs. Depending on where you start, I recommend you get a delicious negroni from NJOY cocktail bar but beware, they have a strict door policy so do not show up too trashed or under dressed.
At Rembrantplein you'll find many great spots like Escape night club, Jantjesverjaardag (a popular student bar), techno club Air Amsterdam, and my favorite Club NYX for their bizarre toilet bar on the top floor where you literally can take a piss behind the DJ in a urinal on the dance floor.
If you're not into night clubs than Amsterdam has a magnitude of bars and cafes, it is what Amsterdam is best known for. Dig deep into local Dutch cafe culture in the Jordaan district at cozy places Cafe Thijsen, Gevulde Gaper, Staalmeesters and De Zotte.
For party bars and dive bars check out No. 129, Cafe Kooper, Kopstootbar and end your night either at the Water Hole for rock music and live bands or club hard at the massive Paradiso dance floor or consider Chicago Social club for a more laid back hipster kind of vibe.
In conclusion, the Amsterdam nightlife is one of world's best. The fact that bars and clubs are open late, no last call, great selection of music & venues plus a chill laid back local crowd that makes Amsterdam the absolute party capital of Europe, without a doubt. Ibiza eat your heart out! Also, make sure to watch my Amsterdam travel guide for day time activities.

You were all very enthusiastic when I asked in the previous film at the EMA (see playlist Tramway) if you wanted to see the city tour from a classic tram as well. Especially for you, Cabview Holland went back to record this ride from the GVB 586 from 1957. If you want to see Amsterdam in a completely different and unique way, then you should definitely do this tour, an absolute must! More info: Thanks to the enthusiastic employees of the EMA and GVB. Enjoy watching!

One Day in Amsterdam! The best things to do in the capital of the Netherlands!
Amsterdam is one of our favourite European destinations for a great city trip. The Dutch capital has lots to offer from great food to awesome museums and some really great bars. We travelled all over the city to spend a perfect day in Amsterdam and capture our favourite experiences in the city. We start the day with a superfood breakfast at The Avocado Show. The restaurant specialises in instagrammable dishes featuring sustainable avocados. With a full stomach, it's time to shop. We hit up the picturesque Negen Straatjes. The nine small streets feature some of Amsterdam's best boutique shops. We visit contemporary clothing store Closed and second-hand shop Bij Ons. We jump on a bicycle and make our way to Albert Cuyp. We explore the world-famous market and taste some traditional Dutch snacks like poffertjes, stroopwafel and the famous Dutch Haring (Herring). To refuel after all the walking we visit Bar Bitterbal for a Dutch lager and some innovative new versions of Amsterdam's favourite beer snack, the bitterbal! Next up, we make our way to the famous canals where we rent a boat and navigate the maze of waterways in the city centre, it's our favourite way to see the city! As the sun sets, we keep up with the nautical theme as we wind down and have dinner at Surinamese restaurant and bar, Waterkant. The restaurant is named after the nightlife district in the former Dutch colony Suriname and serves traditional dishes like Roti and Bakabana which wash down perfectly with the Surinamese Parbo Beer.

Free Walking Tours Amsterdam Tim
Born in:
Harderwijk, Netherlands small town one hour from Amsterdam, and for more than 7 years I live in Amsterdam, this because it is the most beloved city in the world!
Guide since:
2014 and love it every day!
Why did you become a tour guide in Amsterdam?
I love to travel and meeting locals from different cultures. I always like to know what moves people and why others do their way! And as a tour guide, I have the privilege to meet new cultures and people every day.
Your favorite Dutch food?
The really Dutch meal Boerenkool which is Kale mixed with potatoes and a smoked sausage. Typical Dutch meal you can get it at the Dutch restaurants like Moeders.
Favorite bar in Amsterdam?
In ‘t Aepjen, A small bar with a great story behind it, this historic Amsterdam bar used to accept sailor’s monkeys as payment. The story after this is even better! This bar is located at the end of the Zeedijk in one of the 2 wooden houses Amsterdam still has.
You cannot leave Amsterdam before:
Did a walking tour with me, tasted herring the raw fish, rent a bicycle.

THE BEST DUTCH APPLE PIE in Amsterdam at WINKEL43 | Amsterdam Food
I went to Amsterdam with my wife for a long weekend. I sign up for the Intercontinental Ambassador membership during the offer last year, and I’ve got the ‘Free Night’ voucher which comes with the membership. Because there is a very good Amstel Intercontinental in Amsterdam, this seemed like an excellent opportunity to use the voucher.
I also used Avios to buy the plane tickets with British Airways, so almost the whole trip was about the membership benefits.????????
We didn’t fly business class, so we had no access to the BA Galleries lounge. However, I absolutely didn’t mind because the Heathrow Terminal 5 has the fantastic Plaza Premium Lounge which you can access with American Express Platinum card. You can check the Amex Platinum card here:
This is my go-to lounge in Terminal 5. It’s clean, quiet and amazingly light. And the view is stunning.
Amstel Intercontinental is an impressive hotel. Quite pricey, even for Amsterdam, but, as usual with expensive things, you will have an excellent experience. It was definitely a good use for the Free Night voucher, and it made the stay in Amsterdam even more enjoyable.
At the beginning the day was beautiful and sunny, so we decided to walk through the city center to the Cafe Winkel 32. I found on the internet that their Apple Pie is a must in Amsterdam. The internet was right once again. The Apple Pie was extremely good.
While we were waiting, it got dark, windy and rainy. And it was the best thing that could happen to us. The warm apple pie with a wet background made us feel very warm and cozy. Like visiting grandma when she just finished baking the cake. What a great experience and the fantastic start of the Amsterdam visit.
Apple Pie in Winkel 43 - 6.5€ - Six euro is a lot, but you will get a huge portion of Apple Pie with the greedy portion of cream. Absolutely no regrets. It’s good for sharing but don’t be afraid to go for one pie per person. You can’t stop eating it until the plate is clean.
Thank you for watching!

Leiden walking tour, Netherlands
We’re in Leiden, Netherlands. enjoying the pleasures of this beautiful town. It's another one of the great historic cities of the Netherlands, most famous perhaps for the University. It's the oldest university in the Netherlands, founded back in the mid-16th century and so there's a lot of university students here. And it's not as touristic, certainly not nearly as crowded, as a place like Amsterdam, which is only about 1/2 an hour away by train.
So it's really a refreshing change to come and visit smaller cities like Leiden. This city has got the canals running through it, as most Dutch cities do. And here it's really quite special, the canals come right through the middle of the old town.
There's half a dozen of these very peaceful waterways, especially nice in the morning, busy in the afternoon with lots of people out walking around shopping, eating and drinking.
During the program you will get a good look at most of the interesting parts of Leiden. I'll take you on a thorough walking tour, we will go down some of the main lanes, the little back lanes, side lanes. We will see the University and its botanical gardens. We will walk along canals and we'll just show you this town inside and out.
Starting in this central part of the city, probably the most attractive and popular place to spend time, where the Old Rhine canal and New Rhine canal come together.

Amsterdaaaam, Daniel.
Back at it again with th--
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.
While I did not take part in probably the most popular reason people visit Amsterdam, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city and surrounding areas of The Netherlands.
Where to go and what to see:
Anne Frank House
Amsterdam Ice Bar
Van Gogh Museum
Zaan Schaans
NDSM, Amsterdam Wharf
(accessible by ferry near Amsterdam Centraal)
Dam Square
Rijksmuseum
To get around the city in between walking, we used the Hop On Hop Off bus/boat tours. This was very convenient in helping us to gain knowledge of the city and in traveling to some places further than our feet could take us.

Our tour guide Bart was phenomenal, if you ever visit Amsterdam and want to visit the Zaan region, this guy is the best. Very knowledgeable of the area, as he grew up there, and was super kind and personable!
NDSM Bikes

Amsterdam wharf, NDSM
You can't go to Amsterdam and not ride a bike. It's actually not possible. Our hotel was on the NDSM ship wharf, a very cool area to explore. But so much more of an experience while riding like the locals. The owner of the bike rental shop, Marcell, loaned me a bike for my vlog and I am so grateful! The real MVP.

At the end of this video, I pay homage to one of my biggest vlogging inspirations, really just biggest inspirations in general, Casey Neistat.
