With so much to see and do in NYC, it's important for NYC tourists to do their research ahead of time before their vacation in New York City.
NYC has something for every style, taste and budget, and with so many hidden gems around every corner, every tourist planning travel to NYC could use some inside information when it comes to New York City and Manhattan. NYC is the most populated city in the America, with more than 8 million people currently living in NYC. I went to Central Park as the first thing I did in New York City. It was January and the weather was great, how could I not? I also stopped in at Frick House aka the Frick Collection to enjoy it in all its splendour before going to B&H for some shopping. I love New York City and hope to spend more time, preferably in a more reasonable time of year.

Lined with prestigious shops, Fifth Avenue is consistently ranked among the most expensive an elegant shopping streets in the world. Continuing back down Fifth we turn on 42nd Street, to reach Grand Central Terminal, one of the great railway stations of the world and perhaps New York's most famous interior space. We are plunging into a very worthwhile twenty blocks which can be nicely enjoyed along Madison, Park and Lexington Avenues.
New York’s Central Park is a beautiful pleasure ground of meadows, ponds, forests, and trails, nature at its best, surrounded by the great wall of Manhattan.
The park is one of the world's most-visited places with an amazing 42 million annual visitors, putting it into the planet’s top-three most popular destinations, along with Times Square and the Las Vegas Strip.
We are taking you on a quick subway ride to the Upper West Side, one of New York's most popular, high-end residential neighborhoods. We'll take you up Broadway, starting from 72nd St. on walk on up to Zabar's, one of the great food stores of the city, and then continue over to Amsterdam Avenue for a few blocks, the two main streets of the Upper West Side.
Crossroads of the World, or perhaps it is center of the universe! Whatever you call it, Times Square is one amazing and busy place. We’re going to bring you now on a detailed exploration of this unique intersection in the middle of Manhattan.
Electric heart of the city packed with honking taxis, pedestrian mobs, giant billboards lighting the sky, Broadway shows all around, performers of all kinds out on the sidewalk putting on a show, and drawing big crowds. 350,000 people passing through every day, many of them locals on their way to work. How busy is it? Times Square is the most visited place in the world, packed with over 131 million people each year – a mix of locals and visitors.
You are going to discover the top four art museums in New York in this brief summary, starting out with The Met, our nation's best art museum. Then we will bring you inside the Frick, a small private art museum with nothing but masterpieces. Then we will move along to the Museum of Modern Art, take you out in the sculpture garden, and bring you to Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night and many other famous modern paintings. Finally, heading down to lower Manhattan to see the new Whitney, with a superb modern and contemporary collection.
Glazed Over Donuts, Beacon, NY - Family of 11, Full-time RVers
In this episode...while visiting Christy's brother (Composer Dad - see link below) and his family in Beacon NY, we treat ourselves to custom-made donuts at the Glazed Over donut shop in Beacon. Glazed Over is a very unique donut shop where you can create your own donut from a long list of glazes and toppings. We don't eat out much as we travel around the country, but we do make exceptions when we find those one-of-a-kind, unique food places such as Glazed Over. It was yummy!
We’re a family of 11 who travels full-time in an RV, sharing our Christian music mission with people throughout the United States.

New York City Memorial Day Weekend 2013
This video and collection of still photos is a personal diary of an amazing weekend in New York City Memorial Day Weekend 2013. The video will show you the best New York City has to offer with a three day visit condensed to 30 minutes. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria and used the Lexington Line to springboard north to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, south to The Battery and many stops in between. The highlight of the weekend was to see the play Lucky Guy starring Tom Hanks. To fill in the remaining time we visited Central Park, Times Square, The Theater District, Strawberry Fields, The Frick Collection, Wall Street, New York Stock Exchange, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Court District, City Hall Park, The Dakota, Little Italy, Chinatown, SOHO, Federal Hall National Memorial, Bowling Green, Surrogates Court, New York Stock Exchange, The Lik Gallery, from afar we saw the Brooklyn Bidge, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and last but not least the 9/11 Memorial. This is an amazing space that gave me the goose bumps when I first looked into the South Pool with its 30 foot waterfalls and black stone void at the center. The visit will bring you back to the days of the attack, and compel you to once again pray for those that died pilots, passengers, office workers, police officers, firemen and the first responders. The solemn mood was broken for us while at the North Pool, a sudden wind developed and caused the water to curl up and out of the pool in a ten foot wave and got many of us wet. The comic relief this brought, gave a short break in the seriousness of the visit, and brought smiles and laughs, that almost felt guilty, but perhaps was a sign that life continues despite our tragedies. The new 1 World Trade Center at 1776 feet tall can be seen from most neighborhoods in New York City. I want to thank the musicians in Chinatown playing both traditional Chinese and classical music. Chinatown and Little Italy must be on your list of places to visit when in New York. The basic tour and locations can be found on the following link
