The #Tibidabo #Funicular (Catalan: Funicular del Tibidabo) is a funicular railway in the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The line connects Plaça del Doctor Andreu, the upper terminus of the Tramvia Blau, with the summit of Tibidabo, where there is an amusement park and a church, the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor.
The Tramvia Blau, along with a parallel bus service, provides a connection from Avenida Tibidabo metro station. This is the terminus of line 7 of the Barcelona Metro, operated by the FGC from a city terminus at Plaça de Catalunya.
Like the Tramvia Blau, the funicular it is not part of Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) integrated fare network. Tickets must be separately purchased from ticket offices or machines at the terminal stations prior to travel.
The funicular is one of three in Barcelona, the others being the Funicular de Vallvidrera and the Funicular de Montjuïc.

Here's the steps to follow if you want to get to Tibidabo mountain by public transport:
1. On the Pl. Catalunya station take the train S1 or S2.
2. Take off on the stop Peu del Funicular.
3. Change it to Funicular, that is on the same stop.
4. When you get off the Funicular you'll see the stop of the bus № 111. This bus will take you right up on the Tibidabo mountain.

El antiguo funicular del Tibidabo
En septiembre de 2019 cesa su funcionamiento el clásico y entrañable funicular del Tibidabo. Barcelona ya no contará mas con estos vehículos que llevaban funcionando desde 1958, montados sobre los bastidores originales de este ferrocarril (1901 y 1922 respectivamente) quedan ya en el recuerdo, ante el inicio de las obras de reforma integral de este carismático medio de transporte.
No podía resistirme a hacer unas últimas capturas de estos vehículos que conformaban un elemento característico mas de Collserola y el Tibidabo.

Most travellers then continue up the mountain on the Funicular de Tibidabo
Funicular Tibidabo mountain train. The funicular of Tibidabo hill train was the first of its kind in Barcelona and Spain. The train was built to take passengers to the top of Tibidabo hill, where the Tibidado fairground park is also located. The Tibidabo train was designed by the engineer Bonaventura Roig and was officially opened on the 29th October 1901 at the same time as the opening of Avenida Tibidabo avenue and the Tramvia Blau blue tram that connects to the funicular on Plaça del Doctor Andreu. The plaza is named after Dr Salvador Andreu i Grau, a succesful industrial pharmacist, who had the idea to build the funicular railway to Tibidabo's top to transport visitors to the fairground which he owned. Doctor Andreu was the first passenger on the train and took the first journey alone on 3rd July 1901.
The funicular de Tibidabo is open 15 minutes before the Skywalk opens and it closes 15 minutes after the Skywalk closes. In February the funicular is open on weekends and from March to December it runs every day. Throughout the year, the funicular carriages are decorated in fun and exciting designs so be sure to catch the brightest one! This all adds to the excitement of visiting Tibidabo as the park awaits you at the top. The park is of course not the only thing to see but spectacular views of the whole city, some of the best to see! There is also a church where you can get an even higher vantage point and admire the incredible city from afar.
A return journey costs €7.70, however, if you are visiting the park as well you can get a discount when you buy tickets for the park.
