Best Kyoto Sake & Food Tour | Fushimi District Best Sake In Japan
Want to experience a rock star tour of the world's greatest sake district? This is hands down the best food & drink tour we've ever done.
Kyoto is the historic capital of Japan -- The name 'Kyoto' literally translates to 'Capital City and this charming slice of old-school Japan offers a stunning range of cultural heirlooms and tasty traditions. The most notable of these traditions is arguably the craft of sake brewing; the bountiful underground springs in the precinct contain some of the purest waters on the planet, and the Japanese wasted no time in transforming this natural gift into the wondrous elixir known around the world as Sake. On this tour, you'll have a chance to sample around 25 different sakes while learning about the historic Fushimi district of Kyoto. You'll tour a 400-year-old brewery and dine at a traditional Japanese restaurant -- it doesn't get any more authentic or memorable than this.
Fushimi Inari Shrine | Night time shenanigans in Kyoto | Aersion in Japan
Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto is amazing anytime, but Fushimi Inari shrine at night is also amazing, and a bit scary. There are monkeys too, oh and boars...
We walk through Kyoto, Gion, and around Kiyomizudera temple during sunset. See the Kyoto night view, and descend to Fushimi Inari shrine at night in the darkness.
Fushimi Inari is free, so it is one of the best free things to do in Kyoto any time, and visiting at night can be thrilling.
Enjoy the shenanigans!

Exploring Japan: Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine Kyoto Japan

I was able to go to Kyoto this week and I was really excited about seeing the Fushimi Inari shrine there. So myself and Micah treked out to explore the beauty of it. If you've ever seen Memoirs of a Geisha this place might look very familiar to you as they filmed in this beautiful place. Also this might be the deepest I get as there was a quazi candid moment caught in this video that worked given the surroundings. Also Micah and I stumble upon a ridiculously large buddist shrine in this video to as an bonus. About Yukendoit.
Welcome! What you are looking at is a former Universal Studios, Halloween Horror Night, Walt Disney World actor/worker youtuber here. I really want to show the world to you! I was pretty inspired by Adamthewoo to get out and start making videos, and now I've left America to do just that. Now I'm out in Osaka, Japan. Living daily life in Japan. But I make adventure videos of exploring strange Japanese locations, theme parks like Universal Studios Japan, and generally showing off life as an American Abroad Jvlogging in Japan. As well I like to make Jvlogs about life in Japan. As I am a former scareactor at Halloween Horror Nights in Florida, I am very interested in the strange side of Japanese culture. Ghosts, Yokai, the Japanese equivlent of Oujia boards, abandoned Japanese buildings, and Japanese haunted houses like the one at Fuji Q Highland it's the longest one in the world!
Why the name Yukendoit? Well I think that you can do it! I'm currently teaching English in Japan and I love it. Patreon patreon.com/yukendoit
CHEAPEST Way to TRAVEL from Kyoto to Osaka by Train | Japanese Travel Vlog
There’s a reason why the Asian island nation of Japan is such a popular tourist destination. It’s incredible in every sense of the word. The country is safe, clean, organized, and efficient despite its massive population. The food is out of this world and the culture is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And depending on where you go, you can find yourself surrounded by hyper-futuristic technology and neon lights, traditional temples and thousand-year-old buildings, pristine natural environments, and just about everything in-between. Come along with me as I experience it all for the very first time!
My Film Making Kit ►
After spending two amazing days in Kyoto, it was already time for me to leave. And while I wish I’d had more time to explore more of this beautiful and traditional city, there was a lot more to come on my trip through Japan, so I was also excited to arrive in my next city. Come along with me as I show you the cheapest way to travel from Kyoto to Osaka by train!
Kyoto and Osaka are very close to each other, and I was able to get a train ticket to Osaka for only 560 Yen, or $5.03 U.S. After buying it, I had to get to track 60 at Kyoto Station and make my way through the crowd to get onboard. Once onboard my train, I had to stay very quiet; in Japanese etiquette, it’s considered rude to talk loudly on public transportation. Always learn the etiquette and culture before traveling to a new country. No one wants to be that one rude, uninformed tourist!
After a smooth, 40-minute ride, I arrived in Osaka! My next order of business was finding out how to get to Dotonbori, the most popular area of the city and the place where I’d be staying. As I attempted to find my way to my next train, I made my way through huge crowds and passed lots of shops and restaurants. The walk to my platform was long, but I was able to save money by taking a train (230 Yen/$2.07 U.S.) instead of a taxi to my Airbnb; a taxi would have cost more than ten times that!
Four stops and six minutes later, I was where I needed to be. I passed by more restaurants and shops on my way out. These big, Japanese train stations are like cities in and of themselves! They’re so busy and there are so many things to see and do there. After exiting the station, I asked for directions to my Airbnb—never be afraid to ask for directions if you don’t know where to go—and set off to the place I’d call home for the next couple of days.
It took me a while to figure out how to get the key, used it to get to the elevator, and took it up to my unit, 1304. From my balcony, I had some incredible views of Osaka!
What a fun but intense journey! As you can see, traveling from Kyoto to Osaka is very easy and can be extremely inexpensive if you make the right choices. I hope this helps you out if you’re traveling through Japan on a budget! Speaking of travel experiences, I wasn’t content to stay in my Airbnb for the rest of the night. Instead, I headed out to explore the amazing world of Dotonbori street food…but that’s for another video!
I hope you enjoyed following my journey from Kyoto to Osaka! If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already and I will see you in the next travel food adventure!

IMPERIAL Japanese STREET FOOD Tour at Osaka Castle | Osaka, Japan
My twelve days in Japan in January of 2019 were some of my favorites I’ve ever spent in another country. The food is beyond incredible, the culture is out of this world, and the history is fascinating! There’s no other place on Earth like Japan and during my trip, I learned why so many travelers have fallen in love with it. Come along with me as I explore the sites and wonders of Japan!
Follow Javier on Instagram:
My second full day in Osaka began bright and early at Osaka Castle on yet another frigid, late January morning. The castle was built in 1583 and is one of the most famous landmarks in the entire country. I couldn’t wait to check it out!
One of the many cool things about Osaka Castle is that it’s surrounded by a huge moat, so the castle stands on an island in the middle of the city! Unfortunately, cameras aren’t allowed inside the castle, but there are still lots of fun things to do in the immediate vicinity!
I linked back up with my boy Javier, a Miami guy like me who actually lives in Japan now. We explored the stone walls surrounding the castle. The stones are huge! The castle and the path leading up to it were built very strategically so that any hostile invaders approaching it can be easily seen and picked off by snipers. That, plus the fact that there’s a double moat surrounding the castle, means it would be very hard to reach the castle without being detected. Now, however, the climb up to the castle makes for some really incredible views!
The castle itself is built atop more massive stones and is gorgeous and super impressive! The emperor basically had an entire army building it!
From there, we headed to the nearby street food stands. Because it was so cold outside, there were only a few stands that were open, but we made the most of it! If you want to come to Osaka for street food, book your trip for when the weather is warmer.
We started with a cup of karaage, or Japanese fried chicken (500 Yen/$4.55 U.S.). The batter was very different, and the chicken was super juicy. You could taste the quality in it! I couldn’t stop eating it. Apparently, in Japanese culture, it’s considered rude to take the last karaage, but since I was the guest, Javier let me have it. And it was worth it!
Next, we walked to an indoor mini-market near the castle, where there are some shops and restaurants. There, we found some assorted deep-fried skewers (860 Yen/$7.82 U.S.) and beer (600 Yen/$5.45) at the Konamon Bar Rikyu. The skewers came with an assortment of sauces as well.
I started with the quail eggs. The yolk exploded in my mouth and the tempura on the outside gave it a nice, delicious crunch! The sweet-and-sour sauce I tried it with was really nice, and the beer I washed it down with was amazing as well.
The fish skewer was really good, too, and the fish cake with chili sauce was fantastic! I also had a skewered shrimp with roe sauce, which had some outstanding roe flavor! It was a really good mix of flavors and the different textures were out of this world. The tempura was so different from kinds I’d had back in the States and was phenomenal!
We finished up at Konamon Bar Rikyu with a minced fish patty before heading off to get some matcha ice cream at a shop that specializes in matcha! I got a matcha soft-serve (450 Yen/$4.17 U.S.) It was super creamy and earthy, with lots of delicious matcha flavor that I couldn’t get enough of. It was so good!
I hope you liked coming along with me and Javier on our amazing Osaka Castle visit and street food adventure! If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already and I will see you in the next travel food adventure!
