Celtic Day folklore festival at Ferris Fine Art Gallery
In April 2019 the Fine Art Gallery at Ferris State University hosted its first Celtic Day folklore music, art, and literature festival, planned and arranged by Ferris' own Phi Alpha Theta history honors society (chapter Alpha Nu Rho).
The three hour event highlighted the esoteric art by fine artist Steve Barber, music from fiddler Abbie Mumby, and inspired readings by chapter members Jonny Parshall, Jason Mickevich, Christian Davidson, and Meg Corner.
Celtic-inspired coloring pages were provided for those young in heart and idle in hand.
May this warm occasion provide inspiration to you in planning your own Irish or Celtic micro-festival event.
Save me / Evind Blaker | 8. - 25. nov 2018
Helter og skurker!
Galleri Fineart er stolt og begeistret over å presentere utstillingen Save Me.

New York, NY.
You have a new perspective about what is photography today and the combination between vintage
photography, conceptual photography, contemporary photography, abstract photography and that’s
why, I think, it’s a huge step because it gives a contemporary vision and it gives the community also a
move forward with something completely new. I think photography could be better understood and
could be more accessible not only in terms of understanding but in terms of beauty. Just about this.
LUMINA Gallery. Oslo, NORWAY.
We’re bringing in artists that can be a part of this international community, and it’s showing where
contemporary photography, but also of course vintage and “old” photography they become part of a
bigger whole.
SCHEINBAUM & RUSSEK Ltd. Sante Fe, NEW MEXICO.
We like it a lot. We like the generosity of the space and the aisles. It’s really wonderful for us to have
every type of photography represented. People can show so much more variety of work.
PACI CONTEMPORARY. Brescia – Porto Cervo, ITALY
For sure, the Pier 94 gives much more energy, gives much more impression. especially to the collector
and lets us introduce AIPAD show to become a very big International event and just not only focus on
the United States. So, I think, that we are on the way to become a very important event for the
photography in the world.
GALLERY 51. Antwerp, BELGIUM.
I think it was a good move. When I spoke to visitors, they said they liked the space, they like the venue
because they have much more space. The aisles are larger, they can walk around. They don’t feel tired
after, you know, an hour. So, I think the general idea is very positive.
IBASHO. Antwerp, BELGIUM
Something that people don’t know about AIPAD that well is that it’s not just about beautiful 19th century
vintage work but it’s about photography as a whole. You can see people pushing boundaries of
photography. Not just plain photography but folded pieces of paper and more 3-D type of things. So
it’s definitely a much wider subject than just straight photography.
VASARI. Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA.
We are from Argentina and we’ve been members of AIPAD for approximately 10 years now We are
really happy to be a part of it and to come do the show. Especially this new venue, which is really
outstanding.
LUMINA Gallery. Oslo, NORWAY
You are getting International galleries in and dealers. You’re making this something that can be a base of
photography in the most wonderful city in the world, which has this history within photography so much
more than anywhere else.
