The Seven Sisters Houses - New Orleans, Louisiana
Located in the historic garden district of New Orleans. Legend has it that the seven nearly identical shotgun houses occupying the 2300 block of Coliseum Street were built for seven sisters. In fact they were the first speculation houses in the city, and some of the first in the United States. Though renovations have blurred the family resemblance, the homes are structurally distinguished only by the front galleries: some are Greek Revival, some Italianate.

Haunted History Tours | Haunted Tours in The French Quarter & Garden District in New Orleans, LA
Haunted History Tours is the largest and oldest walking tour company. We have a variety of different tours. We have the ghost tour, the vampire tour, the cemetery tour, the voodo tour, tours in the French Quarter, tours in the Garden District, day tours and night tours. The ghost tour is not a Halloween spook out, it’s the actual haunted tour. It takes people to several different sites in the French Quarter connected with actual documented hauntings, places that have been researched by paranormal investigation and mediums. The vampire tour is a whole different tour. It’s kind of a combination of fiction and reality. What makes Haunted History Tours so much better than any other tour company are the guides. Anybody can tell a story, but our guides are very theatrical, great story tellers and they have acting ability. They can make the stories come alive. Haunted History Tours has been feature on A&E, History Channel and Travel Channel actually recommends it as a must-do for anybody visiting New Orleans. Often people ask if the tour is appropriate for children, our tour is probably the only appropriate thing for children in the French Quarter. You don’t have to believe in ghosts to enjoy the Haunted History Tours. We offer several different tours meeting in different locations but for complete information on Haunted History Tours visit our website at

Food in the Garden 2014: New Orleans
New Orleans has always been a crossroads of people, ideas, and products. What was created out of this dynamic interplay of people and products at this global crossroads of New Orleans? At the heart of NOLA are the people, a very diverse population ranging from Native Americans, French, Spanish, Africans, and other subsequent waves of immigrants. Drawing from abundant natural marine resources, adding diverse foods from around the world through merchants and settlers, the NOLA population created one of the most unique and influential foodscapes in the world. The markets and new migrants continue to thrive and draw from the many unique cultural and natural resources of the area.
Panelists: Ashley Young, historian of food markets and street food culture in the 19th century; and David Guas, chef/owner of Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery in Arlington, VA [and coming Winter 2014 to Washington, DC] and host of American Grilled on Travel Channel.

Savannah, GA.Cemetery & M. Williams Museum(Slideshow)
Savannah is a traditional city.
I think that there are more sightseeing points in the savannah than New Orleans (Louisiana).
Savannah prospered as a cotton market once.
There are very many historic buildings in this town, and the style reminds of European it rather than U.S.A.
In addition, in Riverside, former warehouses transforms itself into a souvenir shop and a restaurant, etc. and is full of tourists day after day.
Moreover, there are many churches, parks, and cemeteries in Savannah.
Savannah became famous for a nonfiction novel Midnight in the garden of good & evil , and also became a stage of the movie of the same name by Clinteastwood director.
The bird girl who became a cover of the book is on display in The Telfair Museums of Art now.

In a land far, far away, love flourishes in a kingdom quite unlike any other. In mushroom-shaped homes and old dormitories, a community of dwarfs—all less than 51 inches tall—can be found singing, dancing, and performing on a daily basis for visiting tourists.
In this episode of The VICE Guide to Travel, we send VICE magazine's creative director, Annette Lamothe-Ramos, to visit the controversial theme park, Kingdom of the Little People.
