Visit to Garni temple will not complete without visiting the Garni Gorge, which is situated 23 km east of Yerevan, Armenia.
To go Garni Gorge one should have 4WD to ride just below the village. Garni temple also seen from Garni gorge. Along the sides of the gorge are cliff walls of well-preserved basalt columns, carved out by the Goght River. This portion of the Garni Gorge is typically referred to as the Symphony of the Stones. as it resembles.

Очень необычное место, добраться не просто, ввиду отсутствия хорошо проходимых дорог, но попасть сюда обязательно стоит, хотя бы на пару минут. Именно здесь ощущаешь всю некогда вулканическую мощь. Базальтовые колонны так и норовят упасть, но перед этим зрелищем невозможно устоять, не подпитавшись настоящей энергией гор и силой природы! Также Вы можете увидеть средневековый мост 11 века через горную реку и панораму всей долины Гарни.
EN. The Garni Gorge is situated 23 km east of Yerevan, Armenia, just below the village with the same name. On a promontory above the gorge, the 1st century AD Garni temple may be seen. Along the sides of the gorge are cliff walls of well preserved basalt columns, carved out by the Goght River. This portion of the Garni Gorge is typically referred to as the Symphony of the Stones. It is most easily reached via a road that leads left down the gorge just before reaching the temple of Garni. Another road leads to the gorge through the village, down a cobblestone road, and into the valley. Once in the valley, turning right will lead to Garni Gorge, an 11th century medieval bridge, and the Symphony of the Stones.

Garni Temple is an ancient pagan temple located in Garni, Kotayk Province, Armenia.
Garni Temple (Temple of Garni) , built presumably in 77 AD, was dedicated to the sun God Mihr in ancient Armenian mythology. It is the best known Greco-Roman structure and symbol of pagan or pre-Christian Armenia.
The temple is a popular tourist attraction located in Garni, Kotayk Province, Armenia about 28 kilometers from the capital, Yerevan.
