Things To Do In Twin Falls, Idaho 2018
Hey you guys! Thanks for joining me on another journey. I am in Twin Falls, Idaho this week. Our Airbnb host recommended we go kayaking on the Snake River. (Eddie & Julie of Kimberly, ID were absolutely fantastic hosts, by the way. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you stay there.) We went down to Centennial Waterfront Park and checked in with AWOL Dive & Kayak, a first-class operation. We rented a tandem kayak for half of the day since we weren't sure how far up the river we'd be able to go because of the water levels. They got us on our way along the beautiful Snake. It was so cool to go under Perrine Bridge! It is a BASE jumping site that is known all over the world. It might be the only man-made structure where BASE jumping is allowed year-round without a permit. We had no idea whatsoever that there were jumpers taking the plunge off the bridge behind us until after we uploaded the camera footage! :-D We were so jazzed to discover them, and had a good laugh at ourselves about our ignorance! We had heard some whooping & hollering, but couldn't see what was going on. Once we made it to Pillar Falls, we explored on foot around the area with a couple of locals. He pointed out how we couldn't cross to continue up the river to Shoshone Falls since the water was so high. While we were bummed, we enjoyed talking with them and admiring the wonderfully powerful water. After a while, we got back in our kayak and headed down river. What a fabulous way to spend a few hours in Twin Falls!

POW MIA paracord bracelets
Please check out the info bellow published by mrcoop1967 and help in any way you can thank you
ROLLING THUNDER
David Pieper
Calling all paracorders: I am asking for your help to make these POW/MIA Bowe Bergdahl bracelets to donate to the Rolling Thunder Inc. Motorcycle Club. They among so many others have been working hard for so long to raise awareness support to get our Government to go rescue Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and bring him home. Over and above that I believe making 20,000 of these bracelets and distributing them all over America will help to raise support to force our Government to go find and go rescue Sgt Bowe and get him back home to his family and on American soil where he belongs. If it was your son or daughter would you want help to raise awareness to get them home. I know there are many rubber bracelets out there already but as a paracorder you know how much attention these bracelets have gotten by people. Why not put that to good use and help this kid and his family out. I would make all 20,000 that I am asking for but as a paracorder you know this is not possible or feasible for one man to do on his own. But with your help we can do it together. If you can help please msg me and I will tell you more of how to help. Here is a little more info on Sgt. Bergdahl - Bowe Robert Bergdahl (born March 28, 1986 in Sun Valley, Idaho) is a United States Army soldier, who is currently in the captivity of the Taliban supporting Haqqani network, since June 2009.
Bergdahl is assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based at Fort Richardson, Alaska. He went missing on June 30, 2009. Since then, the Taliban has released five videos showing him in captivity. The Taliban have demanded $1 million and the release of 21 Afghan prisoners and Aafia Siddiqui in exchange for Bergdahl's release. They have threatened to execute Bergdahl if Siddiqui is not released.
At the time of his capture, Bergdahl's rank was that of Private First Class (E-3). In June 2010, he was promoted to Specialist (E-4) during his absence. Then later to Sgt. E-5
On July 18, 2009, the Taliban released a video showing they had captured Bergdahl. In the video, Bergdahl appeared downcast and frightened. A Department of Defense statement issued on July 19 confirmed that Bergdahl was declared missing/whereabouts unknown on July 1, and his status was changed to missing/captured on July 3.
Middle Fork Salmon River
Our guided camp vacations are usually five or six days on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. The Middle Fork drops 2750 feet in elevation during your 100 mile float. Compare the bonus of great rapids and geothermal hot springs to other trips!
Scenery and flora change from high mountains blanketed with pine trees to the Impassable Canyon dotted with Mountain Mahogany and sagebrush on high cliffs. The river current flows with no long eddies; the water is crystal clear. No roads or motors are allowed. Reservations are now accepted. June trips will be high water, as snow pack is good. Few outfitters have high water equipment like we do.
Arrive in Stanley, Idaho one day early if possible. Arrival mid-trip or on launch day may require a private flight from Boise, McCall, Sun Valley, Salmon, or Montana. Hike or mountain bike in Stanley's Sawtooth Mountains.
Check out bags or tents early!
Wildlife is abundant on the River of No Return Wilderness area. Native Cutthroat Trout almost jump into the boat. Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep are often sighted. Mule Deer sometimes wanter into camp. There are numerous reasons to float this fine ecosystem. My family has been a public outfitter here since 1964.
Whitewater rapids are a thrill-a-minute in the comfortable guide-oared, self-bailing rafts. With Masoner splash shields on some rafts, our equipment is really spiffy! Inflatable kayaks and guided paddle boats are for the action-seeking guests. This vacation is designed with you in mind. Wetsuits are provided for adventuresome high-water trips. Spincast or flyfish between rapids with your helmsman's help. September offers Chukar shooting and large, native spawning trout. Fishing tackle is provided.
Hike, fish, swim, throw horseshoes, or take a shower at camp. Sleeping bags, thick pads, roomy tents, waterproof packs, potable water, books, and maps are furnished for camp comfort. We support your recreation interest. The cargo boat is loaded with beverages, ice, and hors d'oeuvres! Our guides lead and teach youth teams or other guests while on wilderness hikes or away from camp. You just relax!
Meals are cleanly prepared away from the campfire unless closed Dutch Ovens are used. Lunches are unique. Special dietary requests are met. Helmsmen become hiking and fishing guides or chefs with aprons in camp! Lawn chairs and tables are convenient. Dine at the table, sit near the river and watch eagles, or fish and eat late!
Not all float trips are the same. We take pride in our experience, safety, fishing and hiking interests, quality equipment, and service to you.

Here is some footage of the 2010 ProAm held at the USA Shooting Academy in Tulsa Oklahoma.
I tried something different by adding some audio descriptions to help explain what you are seeing. The audio kinda sucks but this is the best I could figure out. Thanks to CompetitionDVD for filming and to Dawson Precision for tuning my magazines before the match.
If you are watching this from a mobile device and not a PC, you might not be able to see the annotations super imposed on the video.
Some stages are not shown since we did not film them all. This event will be televised at a later date on Shooting USA.

Austin Bourret's Freestyle Fundraiser
My name is Austin Bourret. I have been competing in Freestyle mogul skiing for the past 12 years. My goal is to make the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team this winter! I need your help to make this happen!
WHY
I currently work full-time at a restaurant at the Canyons resort, but with training, traveling and competition costs as high as they are, I must seek outside support. Please help me reach my goal of making the U.S. Ski Team this winter! I have devoted my life to following this dream and seeing it pan out after everything I have put in would be the most satisfying event of my life.
MY STORY
My passion for skiing stems from the day when my dad took me skiing in a baby backpack when I was six-months-old. Unfortunately, I had to wait until I could walk for my parents to put me on skis. When I was two, I took my first runs at Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe. Eventually, I found that all I wanted to do was go fast and jump. Ever since then, I’ve been pushing myself to go a little bit faster and a little bit higher.
When I was 10, my family moved to Ketchum, Idaho from the Bay Area. I loved jumping, so I joined the Sun Valley Freestyle Team where I found my passion for skiing moguls on the world-famous bump runs. Soon, competing prioritized my winters and I had a dream of making the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. I skied for the Sun Valley Freestyle team for six years while attending the Community School. The education I received through both programs was incredible!
Four years ago, I moved to Park City, UT and joined the Park City Freestyle Team. With the opportunities I've had on PC Free, I have pushed toward my goals, having my best seasons ever. Currently, I am preparing for the upcoming Nor-Am season and hope to advance to the US Team and World Cup mogul events.
In the off-season, I continue to make progress toward my Mechanical Engineering degree at Boise State University.
WHAT I NEED
In addition to the income from my jobs, I am shooting to raise an additional $5000 to help pay for traveling, training and competition expenses. I will be traveling throughout Canada and the U.S. on the NorAm tour and to other events this winter, all of which is expensive, so any amount of support is an enormous help!

Sam - Rio Salado 3 Gun Match - 12 January 2013
Great Match! Had loads of fun at today's Rio Salado 3 Gun Match. This competition is a monthly 3-Gun match that consists of 4 different stages with 1 close range rifle stage and 1 long range rifle stage then usually 1 or 2 shotgun and or pistol stages. It was freezing today so I didn't wear the red Horne Kia hat, but still...special thanks to Horne Kia. Check them out at
In these crazy times...I'm also glad to have my awesome AR-15 from Sun Devil MFG. This thing just runs!
Zorn Holsters. If you haven't been by to check them out in Mesa yet...visit their website then go in.
Perfect Pawn & Jewelry has all your Wilson Combat needs covered. Plus, a great selection of guns, guitars, tools and more.
Practicing your close and long range shooting is easier with great targets. Mr. Target is a Phoenix/East Valley based business that has those needs covered.
And as always...thanks to Tarpeez for covering all my junk. Best truck bed cover around.

We're SO glad you're here and we hope you smiled!
Juju and Fifi are little performers and love the camera. I get a high off thinking how much we'll enjoy these videos for years to come!
Papa is a Chef born, raised, and trained in France,
Mama is a Flight Attendant from Small Town, Idaho.
We met 12 years ago in Sun Valley, ID while we were both working in the Food and Beverage Department of the Ski Resort.
Our boss was French and would recruit culinary graduates to come to America for international work experience.
I had just graduated from Idaho State University and had worked in restaurants for years so was offered a catering manager position.
We met, fell in love, and then the roller coaster of love began. We moved to France for a year but after the visa ran out we found ourselves long distance for years as Alex was offered a job in the Eiffel Tower.
I found a perfect solution by becoming a flight attendant flying back and forth to Paris....
fast forward thru a secret marriage, international wedding, and 3 bilingual kids and you'll find us as the happy parents we are today juggling 2 crazy jobs!
Join us in the adventure!
We love Vlogging as a creative way to capture, store, and share our story. We believe that smiles and love are to be shared.
We also are very passionate about teaching our children how to eat and enjoy all foods. Structured yet flexible framework of 3 meals a day eaten at the table with 1-afternoon snack.
Educational, mannered, and enjoyable experiences around the family table are what we're all about. Not to say it didn't take some trial and error getting there!
Also, we are currently shopping education options for next year and leaning towards unschooling/worldschooling/homeschooling. If you have any tips please share.
Subscribe and stay tuned for fun, travel, language, education, eating, cooking, and all things family.
Thanks for being here!

I must have privacy, seclusion and safety. Above all, those are the three amenities that are the most important to me and my family. We hear this from our most celebrated clients on a regular basis. Residential amenities can be created, changed, or modified, but it's the physical location of any estate that is truly the one, most important factor when selecting where you will spend your most coveted time with family, friends and associates. There are thousands of opportunities to lose yourself in Montana. Some come to Montana for the authentic ranch experience, some come to be surrounded by like-minded people in organized luxury golf communities. You are not like those individuals. You are one of only a handful of individuals in the world who have the distinct opportunity to provide yourself, your family and your closest companions with the gift of privacy, seclusion and safety in the unequivocal King of luxury modern estates. This is Montana's Shelter Island Estate. Flathead Lake, Montana is celebrated as being one of the cleanest lakes in the world, and it is here that you will find one of the most exquisite and privately located estates in existence. Montana's Shelter Island Estate rests on 22+ private island acres in the middle of Flathead Lake. This five bedroom, eight bath estate is a comfortable 22,000 square feet with over 4,800 feet of private, secluded lakefront access. The estate is three levels, each level accessible via commercial grade elevator. Each element has been carefully orchestrated to maximize the visual and emotional impact on every level, starting with the jaw dropping 45 foot ceilings in the great room which is smartly surrounded by the second story observatory that has been designed to leave you entranced by the sweeping views of Flathead Lake. A copper conservatory is the perfect retreat and the abundance of year-round light gently fills the great hall and adjacent office space. The estate's office is beautifully lined in mahogany and features a full balcony, four-inch-thick doors and limestone fireplace. Other features include a master suite and bath with custom mahogany cabinets, trim and accents as well as extensive use of Carrara marble throughout. The master also boasts a private outside portico and poach area for additional privacy and relaxation. The four additional suites in the estate are all appointed with the same level of craftsmanship and materials as the master.Shelter Island is like no other but make no mistake, Flathead Lake is the central focal point at every turn. She shines with majestic qualities from each locale and the views are as awe inspiring as the detailed and custom finish work throughout the estate. A commercial grade gourmet kitchen, full service dining area with wine cellar are all awaiting you or your staff to help serve and host private events, holiday parties, special occasions, or the small intimate family meal. The main floor is also home to the indoor shooting range and a heated boat stall with a custom rail system, making boat access seamless and easy. All finishes throughout the house have been meticulously chosen and appointed by the highest skilled artisans and craftsman available, making this estate one of the most spectacular offerings available in the world today. The guest residence is a two bedroom, four bath boat-house that has been crafted in the same manner, tradition and amenities using the same level of materials as the main estate. At 2,600 square feet, it is comfortable for family and guests and a true compliment to the main estate and includes two granite fireplaces and a steam room. There is also a 1,200 square foot utility facility on the island that houses the generator and a 1,800 square foot shop that serves as the perfect location for projects and storage for all the Montana necessities such as four wheeler, boats, water skis and other recreational equipment.

Unforeseen impacts caused by wolves in Idaho
Part 4 of the Idaho Rangeland Resources Commission wolf series focuses on the unforeseen impacts caused by wolves in Idaho. The Life on the Range video crew learned about unexpected things like cows attacking herding dogs after being spooked by wolves, reduced weight gains by lambs and calves in wolf country, reduced pregnancy rates, mother cows getting killed by wolves, sometimes with no outside bite marks, elk hanging out in private ranchland meadows, seeing those places as a safe zone from wolves, a higher percentage of calves and lambs killed on public lands than expected, and more.
An Oregon State University study also documented that cattle repeatedly spooked by wolves can get Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the same malady suffered by American combat veterans. A cattle-wolf interaction study documented 783 encounters in a single summer using GPS collars on wolves and cattle.
Watch the video to see the details. It's unclear how many ranchers in Idaho have been impacted by these issues because no research has been done on that question. About 435 ranchers in Idaho have been impacted by direct wolf predation, so it is likely that those producers have experienced some of the unforeseen issues as well.
All of these impacts were discovered through
