Tip: When leaving and continuing down the mountain you will run into Beaverdam Road with two haunted cemeteries you can check out. You want to take a right though and it will take you to Merrimon Rd. Take a left or right and you will find real highways and food!

Arrest Made in Asheville Homicide
Juan Carlos Jimenez, 38, has been charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with the Christopher Ortega homicide. Jimenez has been in the custody of the Buncombe County Detention Facility since his January arrest for sexual exploitation of a minor.
Today's arrest is a result of 10 months of follow up and detailed work by investigators from the Asheville Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division. The Buncombe County District Attorney was consulted prior to the warrant being obtained on Jimenez. Jimenez is being held under no bond.
Christopher Ortega was found deceased in his Coleman Ave. apartment on October 28th, 2013. APD found his death to be suspicious at that time. Autopsy results have determined that Ortega's death was due to asphyxiation.
No additional information will be released at this time.

We went up to see Helen's Bridge in Asheville where stories say that a woman was so distraught over the death of her daughter that she hung herself from this bridge and still haunts it today. We went up there to see it and to our surprise, we caught two EVP's.

5 Scary Paranormal Mysteries At Schools!

There are some public places that naturally seem to attract paranormal activity, and schools all across the world seem ripe with ghosts and supernatural entities. Every year, students and teachers alike report paranormal phenomena that occur in the hallways and classrooms of their schools. Here are five instances where those spirits have been caught on camera. But be forewarned… if you are a student watching this, you may never want to go to school again.
5. The Pocatello Ghost
Pocatello High School, located in Pocatello, Idaho, has a long standing history of being haunted. Many previous super intendants of the school have come forward with their stories, claiming that they often heard disembodied sounds and experienced inexplicable light issues while working at the school. The paranormal activity was confirmed when a closed circuit security system was put into place—a system that caught a vast range of strange activity while the student body was on holiday break. In the video, lights flicker on and off in multiple locations of the school at once. If that isn’t bad enough, a misty apparition can be seen hovering near a wall before disappearing and reappearing again from a bathroom. While some argue that the flickering lights may be the cause of some faulty wiring, it seems incredibly odd and creepy that the lights seem to flicker off every time the apparition moves around in the hall. Paranormal investigators theorize that the paranormal activity goes all the way back to 1914, when the original school burned down.
4. Spirit in the Shadows
In 2008, Asheville High, a school located in Asheville, North Carolina, was featured on CNN after capturing a ghostly apparition on the school’s closed circuit security cameras. It was nearly 3 AM, when a black, shadowy spirit suddenly appeared in one of the hallways of the school, gliding a few feet off the floor. Those who saw the original footage couldn’t help but note that the spirit seemed small in stature, as if it were a child. Since the camera is motion detected, it stopped operating once the apparition stopped moving.
3. The Floating Orb
While the exact high school where this security footage is from is not known, we do know that it is located in Warren, Michigan. In the video, a couple of students can be seen walking in the hallway, unaware that they are being filmed and that something sinister is only a few feet away. Pay close attention to the area near the water fountain. A small orb can be seen floating around, disappearing and reappearing again whenever the students are not paying attention. A few people have argued that it is a bug, or a reflection from the water fountain itself.
2. The Laughing Ghost
Carl Shurz High School is a notoriously haunted school located in Irving Park, just outside of Chicago, Illinois. Designed in 1910, the paranormal activity experienced in this high school has been so frequent over the last couple of decades, it has been the site of several paranormal investigations. One team out of Kansas, called Elite Paranormal, traveled to Chicago just to visit this school. While in the library, they used a home made spirit box to make contact with the ghosts that reside in the school. When asked how many spirits were present with them, the response from the spirit box was “six.” This video was recorded during the conversation with these spirits.
1. Unwelcome Visitors
This video is from a YouTube personality named Josh, who explores abandoned places around the United States. In this creepy video, Josh and one of his friends explore an abandoned high school where Satanic rituals have been known to take place. As they tour the building, pentagrams can be seen on the floors and walls of several rooms, some of which look as though they were made in animal blood. Halfway through their journey in the school they look into a long narrow hall when a door suddenly creaks open across from them. Moments later, a door can be heard slamming in the near distance, and the door across the way quickly follows suit.
