Ghost Stories (2018) UK Trailer HD
UK’s favorite horror fantasy event is returning to the Glasgow Film Festival for its 13th year, from March 1-3, 2018. This year’s bold line-up, once again housed at the iconic Glasgow Film Theatre, embraces the latest horror, fantasy and sci-fi discoveries from ten countries, spanning four continents, reflecting the worldwide popularity of the genre.
Ghost Stories remains one of the scariest stage shows ever seen and on Thursday night FrightFest kicks off with a special screening of Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s smash hit phenomenon. Starring Martin Freeman, Paul Whitehouse, as well as Nyman, this unforgettable screen adaptation terrifies in a whole new thrilling and chilling dimension. While IFC Midnight recently acquired for a U.S. VOD and limited theatrical release this year, Lionsgate will be telling all three tales in the UK on April 13th.
Dyson (The League of Gentlemen) co-directs the supernatural thriller that’s based on the Olivier-nominated stage play of the same name. Nynam, who starred in the original theater production, co-directs and stars as Professor Goodman, a psychologist, and skeptic, who has his rationality tested when he stumbles across a long-lost file containing details of three terrifying hauntings. He then embarks on a mission to find rational explanations for the ghostly happenings.
Phillip Goodman, professor of psychology, arch-skeptic, the one-man ‘belief buster’ – has his rationality tested to the hilt when he receives a letter apparently from beyond the grave. His mentor Charles Cameron, the ‘original’ TV parapsychologist went missing fifteen years before, presumed dead and yet now he writes to Goodman saying that the pair must meet. Cameron, it seems, is still very much alive. And he needs Goodman to find a rational explanation for three stories that have shaken Cameron to his core. As Goodman investigates, he meets three haunted people, each with a tale more frightening, uncanny and inexplicable than the last.
Here's the first ever trailer.

Margaret Thatcher death party in Brixton: LOL sign put up at Ritzy cinema, London
A Margaret Thatcher death party in Brixton saw protesters scale the Ritzy Cinema and change the sign to say 'Margaret Thatchers dead LOL.'. More than 100 people gathered in Brixton, south London - the scene of fierce riots in 1981 - two years into her first time in office.
A crowd of around 300 people assembled in Glasgow's George Square where in 1989 protests to the introduction of the former prime minister's poll tax took place. Some wore party hats and launched streamers into the air while a bottle of champagne was opened with a toast to the demise of Baroness Thatcher.
Members of various organisations including the Anti-Bedroom Tax Federation, the Communist Party, the Socialist Party, the Socialist Working Party, the International Socialist Group, were joined by members of the public to mark the occasion. Report by Ashley Fudge.

Mining village 'celebrates' Margaret Thatcher's funeral
The funeral of Baroness Thatcher has been marked by residents of a village scarred by pit closures.
Banners and bunting were hung in Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire, in protest at her policies, as mourners gathered for the funeral at St Paul's Cathedral.
A horse-drawn, open coffin housing an effigy of the ex-prime minister was paraded through the village.
Heather Hopwood, landlady of the Rusty Dudley, in Goldthorpe, near Barnsley, said the village had died since the pit closure in 1994.
She said: It was a brilliant community, it was really busy, but now everything has gone dead because no-one has got any money, there's no jobs.
The effigy was put up outside the Union Jack social club with signs reading: Thatcher the milk snatcher and Thatcher the scab.
One property in the town displayed a huge sign saying: The Lady's not for turning but tonight she'll be for burning.
Outside the Rusty Dudley, homemade banners were erected saying: Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, Thatcher's Britain has gone bust and That's another fine mess you've got us into Maggie.
