Welcome to Bali! In this video, we visit the top sights in Ubud including the temples, volcanoes, and rice terraces.

UBUD | EXPLORING THE SECRET RICE TERRACES & BALINESE MEDICINE
Ubud is one of the most beautiful places in Bali, but these days a lot of the nice places can be particularly crowded, especially during high season!
So the afternoon after we had hiked up Mount Batur, we headed to the centre of Ubud to grab lunch and explore - on our way to one of the famous ridge walks we were stopped by a local guide that asked if we wanted to go and see something a little different....we of course said yes.
We rode up the road about 3 minutes and he took us to this awesome secret rice terrace and farm were he taught us the history, culture and medicine of Ubud. It was proper interesting and I'm glad we met him, he even sang us a goodbye song!
Enjoy the video! Sorry I don't actually know what this place is called, he didn't tell us!

Bali is one of the most evocative and popular tourist islands of the entire Indonesian archipelago. A visit here sparks the senses. As soon as you arrive, the intoxicating fragrance of incense and clove oil hangs in the thick tropical air. Peanuts sizzle at roadside stalls, petal-strewn offerings smolder on busy sidewalks, and traditional gamelan music jangles against the buzz of mopeds. Despite the clamor and chaos of the main tourist areas, the island is rich in natural beauty, with attractions for every kind of traveler. Surfers come for the legendary swells, hikers can trek up jungly volcanic peaks and to misty waterfalls, and cyclists can bike through lush landscapes bristling with rice terraces and traditional villages.
1 Pura Tanah Lot
About 20 kilometers northwest of Kuta, Pura Tanah Lot (Pura means temple in Balinese) is one of Bali's most iconic temples thanks to its spectacular seaside setting on a rocky islet surrounded by crashing waves. For the Balinese people, it is one of the most sacred of all the island's sea temples. (The largest and holiest Hindu temple in Bali is Pura Besakih, but recently local hagglers have been harassing visitors.) Every evening, throngs of tourists from Kuta, Legian, and Sanur find their way through a labyrinth of lanes lined by souvenir sellers to watch the sun setting behind the temple.
2 Mount Batur
Every day in Bali's predawn darkness, hundreds of visitors begin the trek up the 1,700-meter summit of Mount Batur to watch the sun rise above the lush mosaic of mist-shrouded mountains and the caldera far below. This sacred active volcano lies in Kintamani District in Bali's central highlands, about an hour's drive from Ubud, and the hike to the summit to watch the sunrise has long graced the list of top things to do in Bali.
3 Uluwatu Temple
Presiding over plunging sea cliffs above one of Bali's best surf spots, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of the island's most famous temples, thanks to its magnificent clifftop setting. In Balinese, Ulu means tip or land's end and Watu means rock, a fitting name for the location of the temple on the Bukit Peninsula along the island's southwestern tip. Like Pura Tanah Lot, sunset is the best time to visit, when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light.
7 Waterbom Bali
Waterbom Bali is an action-packed waterpark, in the heart of Kuta, with something for every member of the family. Kids can splash in the swimming pools; drift down the Lazy River; or zoom down one of the many twisting water slides and rides, with names like the Python, Green Viper, and Super Bowl. Moms and dads can relax with a reflexology session, manicure or pedicure, or fish spa therapy. Restaurants and cafes cater to a range of different diets, and the grounds are landscaped with large, shady trees and beautiful tropical gardens, making this a refreshing respite from the heat on a hot tropical day.

8 Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
On a small island along the western shore of Lake Bratan, in the cool highlands of central Bali, the 17th-century Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is one of Bali's most picturesque temple complexes. Set against the imposing backdrop of Gunung Bratan, the thatched temples reflect on the lake, and when the water levels rise, they seem to float on its surface. Lake Bratan is one of Bali's main sources of irrigation and drinking water, and the temple complex is dedicated to Dewi Danu, goddess of the sea and lakes.

This Yoga Detox and Spa is located in Canggu, Bali. This was my first ever yoga detox kind of holiday. I didn't really know what to expect, but what ever the case, I'm glad I came here. The set up was simple yet the calm energy was palpable. After having the most unexpected transcendent meditation only a few months before this holiday, I had every desire to discover a way to be able to bring that experience back. I just didn't know how or when or IF it would ever happen again. I came here without expectation. Well, if I were being completely honest, I actually came here because of the food on the menu. I figured - if I didn't know how to meditate, I could at least work cleaning up my diet. Little did I realise at the time, that for every yoga session I did - whether it was yin, hatha, power or aero yoga, I was nurturing my meditation practice to evolve powerfully. To this day, when ever I feel like I want to enter a place of meditation, I draw back to some of the messages I received while in meditation here at Udara Bali.

On August 2015, we had the opportunity to accompany Devin Graham and TEAMSUPERTRAMP to explore and capture the beautiful island and culture of Bali for one of his projects with Cathay Pacific.
Following our previous vlog, we continued our day with a big lunch at Tsavo Lion Restaurant inside the park, and not long after the manager of the park came to our table and invited us to watch the amazing Bali Agung Show!
They do not let people use any type of cameras during the show, so we could only show you the theatre. Bali Agung Theatre is the biggest performing arts theatre in Bali. The show itself is a performance by 180 Bali’s most talented dancers and performers with dozens of live animals, highlighting the emergence of Bali as a prosperous island and attracting people from around the globe almost a millennium ago. We really recommend you to check out the show when you're visiting Bali. You can check the details here:
After the show we went back to our room for a shower and not long after that, we got picked up from our rooms to go on a Night Safari. A safari journey from inside a moving cage which we love so much. We really like the idea of putting the humans in the cage and letting the animals be in the wild. Bali Safari really care about the animals and push this idea through very well.
After all that was done, we decided to go to see the Fire Performance right in front of Tsavo Lion Restaurant. At least 10 fire artists were there to entertain us and other guests, showing an african style dance combined with fire, which tells the story about the animals in Africa. It was beautiful to watch.
So that's it for our adventure on Bali Safari & Marine Park! Again, thanks to them for inviting us and giving us the full experience of their awesome park!
If you are interested in the activities that you saw on the vlogs, make sure check out their website for more detailed explanation on how to get the ticket and also the schedule of each show.
DEVINSUPERTRAMP also made a video about the whole trip on Bali Safari & Marine Park! Check out the video here:

We Got Tattoos In Bali ♥ Some Might Say This Was A Huge Mistake?! | Boho Diary
We got tattoos together. In Ubud Indonesia last summer. And all that we are completely sure of is that the stars aligned and then we followed our hearts.

Big thank you to Concious Arts Tattoo Shop and Agus for your energy and incredible work!
We travelled to Ubud, Bali to work with the best tattoo artist we found online which could create beautiful spiritual imagery with vegan tattoo ink on our bodies. Getting a tattoo is a decision you make that will last a lifetime, so we really had to tune in deeper to find the right person, the right tattoo shop with the right energy to, and of course artwork that spoke to our souls. We believe Conscious Arts Tattoo Shop in Ubud Bali and Agus was the winning combination for us. Agus' dot and mandala work and the ethics of the Balinese Tattoo Shop. Tattoo art is a way to confirm our beliefs, convictions, and emotion through ink to ourselves in the future, and when we met Agus and saw what he could do we knew it was a perfect fit. That he was capable of helping create the perfect reminder for ourselves. Tatoo art to remind us to never look back and to continue to fight for progress in ourselves and the world around us every single day.

Indonesia - Bali - Nusa Dua Theatre Devdan show
As guests of Bali and Beyond Travel Fair, we were invited to experience the spectacular Devdan performance presented by the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre. This dance/acrobatic show was probably inspired by the Cirque de Soleil, as it combines a story line, dance pageantry, acrobatics, and aerial ballet. It was fabulous! As flawlessly and professionally executed as any show in Las Vegas, the Devdan performance was awesome. In the storyline, two children are whimsically transported to different regions of Indonesia and immersed in the culture and pageantry of each. As we state in the film clip, filming and photography are not allowed during the performance. We were graciously invited to film certain limited numbers with the permission and supervision of Vina Agustine, Sales Executive. As we also state, watching the video can not come close to experiencing the performance live. Many even more spectacular numbers were not filmed. I love dance and live performances, and having been an amateur dancer in my earlier years, I know the work, dedication, rehearsal hours, and attention to perfection that must go into a production like this. Not only the performers themselves, but also the sound engineers, the lighting crew, the scene changers, and every smallest technical detailer must also perform without fault. The theatre is state-of-the-art. I was impressed to find out that all the performers are Indonesian; their level of talent is outstanding. The precision of movements, synchronization of troupe, and sheer strength and limberness of these beautiful lithe beings was absolutely awe-inspiring for me.
If you travel to Bali, and you like live performances, you MUST see Devdan! (Even Luc, who doesn’t' especially care for them was impressed). It is something not to be missed. See their website at devdanshow.com.
We thank Vina Augustine for her gracious welcome, and the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, and especially the incredible performers, in front and behind the scenes, for making this an unforgettable experience. We also thank the organizers of the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair. Filmed in June 2014.
MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE - BALI
Once a year, we manage to travel somewhere. I hope it remains so in the future if it's not possible more often.
We planned the entire trip alone. Our first destination in Bali was Kuta, just for acclimatization. Crazy. We stayed there for three days, rented a scooter from our hotel (it was way over payd) and drove around south Bali - Uluwatu.
On the third day we traveled to Padangbai with a small minivan and from there on with a speed boat to Gili Meno. It's a small island where you can just relax, eat good or go diving in the see. If you're lucky enough you will see some sea turtles like we did.
Our next destination was Nusa penida. Searched for a lovely staying, rented a scooter from the nice owner, and we drove around the whole island. Some of the roads were quite good in shape actually - the locals sayed, that all the roads on the island will be new to the begining of 2020. Unfortunately we didn't have the luck to swim or just to see some mantas but we don't give up. Next time they will be there, definitely.
Next stop - Ubud. rented a scooter (it's the best an the cheapest way to go around, and it's the fastest way too). We visited some nearby temples, rice terraces and we managed to drive 230 km all through one day to Sekumpul waterfall and then choosed another road back to Ubud.
One day before our flight back home we got back to Kuta just to be a little bit closer to the airport. Went to seminyak beach and saw one of the most beautiful sunsets ever.
The Heart Of Bali- Ubud
We are currently travelling around far East and we are now in Beautiful Bali where the people are just so gentle and joyful. It is truly the land of gods and goddesses.

Bali - Temples, Indonesia - Travel Around The World | Top best places to visit in Bali
Top best places to visit in Bali
Bali is a beautiful Indonesian island surrounded by the Indian Ocean, coral reefs and sandy beaches.
Bali is known for its nature, forested volcanic mountains, rice paddies and incredible Hindu temples.
In the village of Besakih, on the slopes of Mount Agung is the most important, largest and holiest temple of Hindu religion in Bali, Pura Besakih the “mother temple”.
It is an extensive complex of 23 separate but related temples with the largest and most important Pura Penataran Agung.
Gunung Agung is a stratovolcano and the highest point on the island. Its last eruption was in 1964 and is still active, with a large and very deep crater. Despite this at the foot of the mountain there are many prayers, and about seventy festivals every year.
Another very important temple is Pura Ulun Danu Bratan.
The temple was built in the 17th-century in worship of the main Hindu trinity, Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva, as well as the lake goddess, Devi Danu.
The complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. The lake is known as the Lake of Holy Mountain and is located 1200m above sea level. It is also the ultimate source of water for the rivers that irrigate central Bali.
Located on a rock, just offshore, is one of the most important temples and favorite tourism destinations in Bali, Pura Tanah Lot.
Tanah Lot means the small island floating on the sea. It was built in 16th-century to worship the god in form of Bhatara Segara, the sea power.
One of the most scenic temples Pura Luhur Uluwatu is built at the edge of a 70m high cliff.
The cliff is fascinating but the temple itself is not as impressive as others and you have to keep very close grip on all your belongings, especially cameras and eyeglasses, because there are many small thieves.
There are countless Hindu temples in Bali. In every city you find some more or less important sacred places. Pura Tirta Empul is famous for its holy spring water, where Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly.
Tirta Empul means ‘Holy Spring’ in Balinese.
Hidden in the jungle and between rice fields is the magnificent and surprisingly unpopular 11th-century temple Candi Gunung Kawi.
It comprises 10 rock-cut candi that are carved into 7m high sheltered niches.
Another interesting temple Goa Gajah, or Elephant Cave, is located near Ubud. Built in the 9th-century, it served as a sanctuary.
When you’re in Ubud don’t miss Pura Taman Saraswati, home to water pond where lotus flowers flourish. It is also home to the famous Kecak dance.
One of the favorite places of interest in Bali is Pura Goa Lawah or the Bat Cave Temple.
This natural cave is home to thousands of bats.
Last but not least is temple generally regarded as one of the most attractive. Pura Taman Ayun literally translates as ‘Beautiful Garden’ temple.
Temple is bordered by broad canals and can only be entered via bridge leading to richly ornamented gate.
