Cette plage est une de nos favorites à Cape Cod. Le stationnement ($) surplombe cette immense plage car il est situé au sommet de très hautes dunes. Un escalier a été érigé pour descendre sur la plage.
Au sommet de l'escalier, une plate-forme nous permet d'avoir une superbe vue panoramique de la plage et des dunes.
Plusieurs surfeurs s'adonnent à leur sport favori. On a même pu apercevoir des phoques nager à proximité de ceux-ci.

The Cape Cod Rail Trail - Amazing Adventure from Dennisport to Wellfleet - Ride a Bike
It was family vacation time and this year we were going to conquer something I’ve been curious about since I was a kid
I had the map of this 22 mile trail from Dennisport to Wellfleet sitting on my desk for the past 6 months and vowed that the fam and I would complete this Family bike ride.
We loaded up the Jeep and headed to the trailhead at Dennisport it was okay, but in all honesty there wasn’t a real lot of scenery just a lot of woods and one cool tunnel. I could feel the group’s boredom building with each crank of the sprocket. We biked the 5 miles to the “Local Flavor” in Harwich. It was at that point I had to tell Chloe she had to do the same 5 miles back to the car. I wasn’t sure how little legs would handle it but she powered through and mad it 10 miles that day. It wasn’t easy for her and I realized that there was no way could put the entire fam through this trek to Wellfleet.
Vacation went on I felt like a failure everywhere we went. At a Cape league baseball game, failure. The cape cod scenic railroad, failure. And watching some guy blow a glass whale you guessed it…failure. Then something happened that put the wind beneath my wings.
Then something happened… Richie and I stopped in Barbs Bike shop and he spotted this wall. I told him if he wanted to sign it he’d have to finish the trail he told me if I bought him bike gloves he could definitely finish the trail. Well I set that carrot on the stick, went back home and told the wife about Plan B.
FRIDAY:
The girls left us in search of a Mani/Pedi and we were ready to man up and pedal. We grabbed some supplies and hit the trail. We breezed through Harwich past Long pond and after 3 miles stopped in the Brewster Bike shop, in order to get to take care of some business.
With the new gloves we rocketed 3miles to the border of Brewster and stopped for a snack and some scenery

We knocked out 2 more miles and played a little oversized Chess in Orleans Center.
I was really impressed with my companion. It was about 90 degrees that day and after 8 miles no complaints what so ever., just a lot of good conversation on the trail.
We decided to bust out another 6 miles to Arnold's Lobster and Clam Bar for a well-deserved lunch. This would be the last stop until we reached our final destination.
What I did not account for is that the Beachcomber is 3 miles away from off the trail down Ocean View Road.
That meant we out from the cover of the trees with the sun beating down on us, and worst of all we had hills to climb.
I was hoping those red cheeks were from exhaustion and not sunburn. Convincing him each hill was the last and convincing myself I applied enough sunblock on him. It was looking bleak and then finally.
WE REACHED THE BEACHCOMBER
We enjoyed the ocean then the family reunited. The girls were successful in their quest. but to make ours complete we had one last task to take care of.
