The River Mild Upper Guadalupe River 2017
This video is about Guadalupe River Mild 2017 San Jose Calif, after the floods as high flows came down. Roger Castillo and son Daniel Castillo assessing the upper Guadalupe River. Reporting on the hidden Jewels within the Guadalupe River and status within the higher reaches of the River. The Salmon and Steelhead Restoration Group (SSRG) praising the collaboration in reclamation within these last few years. All the hard work that has been done has payed off from organization and volunteers. Simply saying use it or loose it. Bicycling, walking trails and fishing and cleaning the river is not enough. Monitoring the neglect and holding those who are responsible is key. (SSRG) is committed to share the good, the bad, the ugly and the success of projects. Sharing what should be done to make project and operation of stream more successful.

Guadalupe Park Bike Ride Part 1
This is a video I shot while riding the Guadalupe Park Trail in San Jose, California. Its a trail that I ride often, if possible I prefer riding on this trail than riding in traffic. Its an easy paved trail so not very challenging but its a nice scenic ride through San Jose.
I start at the Adobe building in Downtown and this video ends a little bit past the Normal Mineta International Airport. It was a cold day and I had to battle a 15knot headwind most of the way. Hope you enjoy.

Fear the Dredge The most Dangerous River in West Coast
Roger Castillo and others monitoring the Guadalupe River Park since 2003 thru 2016 has been investigating filming and filing complaint for years. Recently he filmed in 2014 and 2015 what is really happening. Posing hazards to children, the public, boaters and animals. Santa Clara Valley Water district started numerous reports going 18 started and not one completed on how things are being damage or what causing catastrophic failures on the Downtown San Jose flood control. Leaving metal rusted spears for miles after dredging in downtown San Jose Calif, in Guadalupe River Park. Roger Castillo counted and ribbon off as many as 530. Making it the most dangerous River in the Pacific West Coast.
This also covers the relentless mission in Killing a River system, exterminating endangered and threatened species so they can not reproduce in area of downtown San Jose any more, and leaving metal rusted spears coming up out of the concrete like snakes through a mile of river system. Sometime leaving these giant screw on top gravel piles. Every time Sant Clara Valley water District conducting dredging operations have damage or pulled out thousands.
The Equipment can be observe going in after every rain storm as many as four time a year clearing the path for Giant Chinook salmon so can make the journey through the downtown areas of San Jose Calif. Other problem trapping Chinook salmon in Almaden Lake Park. After equipment leaves the most horrific conditions.
San Jose neighborhoods along Guadalupe River evacuated
With a powerful atmospheric river soaking the region with heavy rainfall, city officials activated a “Emergency Operations Center” late Wednesday to better monitor rising waters in San Jose’s creeks and rivers, according to Deputy City Manager Kip Harkness.

Guadalupe River Trail Hike
Last month I uploaded videos of my hike on Guadalupe Park Trail. The one takes up where that one ended. The park ends but the river and its trail, thought transformed from paved to shale, continues. I got from Hedding Street in San Jose to Trimble Road in Santa Clara on this three-hour walk. See my blog for more details:
