गुहागर म्हंटला कि नजरे समोर आधी दृश्य येते ते म्हणजे गुहागरचा विशाल असा समुद्र किनारा. रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्याला १६७ किलोमीटर लांबीचा समुद्रकिनारा लाभलेला आहे. शुभ्र वाळूचे समुद्रकिनारे पर्यटकांसाठी मोठे आकर्षण आहे. विशेषत: गुहागरपासून जयगडखाडीमार्गे रत्नागिरीकडे येताना समुद्र किनाऱ्यावर मनसोक्त मजा लुटता येते. निसर्गाचे सुंदर रुप या प्रवासात पाहायला मिळते.
गुहागर हे निसर्ग सौंदर्याचे आगार आहे. समुद्रकिनाऱ्याचे सुरुबन, नारळ-पोफळीची दाटीवाटी उभ्या असलेल्या बागा, वड-पिंपळाचे विस्तारलेले वृक्ष अशी समृद्धी या परिसराला लाभली आहे. इथल्या विस्तारलेल्या समुद्रकिनाऱ्यावरची भटकंती आनंददायी असते. समुद्रस्नानाची मजा लुटतानाच किनाऱ्यावरील नारळीच्या बागेत निवांत क्षण घालविण्याचा अनुभव काही वेगळाच असतो.

कसे जावे :
गुहागर बीच सुट्टी निर्मात्यांना एक प्रमुख आकर्षण आहे .गुहागर ते पुणे पासून 6-7 तास लागू होईल . पुणे पासून चिपळूण मिळवण्यासाठी एकाधिक मार्ग आहेत , गुहागर चिपळूण पासून सुमारे 40 किमी आहे . मुंबई पासून चिपळूण मार्ग NH17 मार्गे आहे
विमान:
जवळील विमानतळ छत्रपती शिवाजी आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानतळ , मुंबई जे गुहागर पासून ३०० किमी दूर आहे.
रेल्वे :
आपण मुंबई ते गुहागर ला प्रवास करत असाल तर तुम्ही रेल्वेने प्रवास करण्याचा पर्याय आहे . आपण रेल्वे द्वारा चिपळूण पर्यंत प्रवास करणे आवश्यक आहे . चिपळूण गुहागर पासून सुमारे 40 कि.मी. अंतरावर आहे .
बस:
मुंबई गुहागर 320 किमी आहे . पुणे गुहागर : 288 किमी

Guhagar taluka is a taluka in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra an Indian state.
Guhagar is a census city in Ratnagiri district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Guhagar is known for its virgin beach, coir items, coconuts, betel nuts and mainly Haapus Alphonso mangoes. The nearest city and railhead is Chiplun, about 44 kilometres (27 mi) away. The economy of Guhagar boomed after the Dabhol Power Company, a few kilometres north was commissioned in the early 1990s. Hotels sprung up and residents were given well-paid jobs.
Guhagar is famous for Durga Devi temple, Guhagar and Vyadeshwar temple.
Velneshwar is a village on the Western Coast of Maharashtra, India, about 70 km from Ratnagiri. Velneshwar is reputed for its rock-free beach which facilitates the ease of swimming. There is an old Shiva temple near Velneshwar which is frequently visited by pilgrims. The village follows Smarta Tradition and the people of the village worship Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Surya and Goddess Durga.
This village is considered to be the root of the Gokhale, Raste (Gokhale), Gadgil, Govande, Savarkar, Tulpule, Velankar, Ghag families (now residing at Nayashi, Dahivali & some other villages in Ratnagiri district) and has their family shrine.
Many people who had roots from this village were involved in India's struggle for freedom and have gone on to be one of the greatest individuals in the nation.
Hedavi is a Village in Guhagar Taluka in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra State, India

Jaigad Fort (Also transliterated as Zyghur in old British records. is a coastal fortification that is located at the tip of a peninsula in Ratnagiri District at a distance of 14 km from the temple town of Ganpatipule, in the state of Maharashtra, India. Nestled on a cliff, it overlooks a bay formed where the Shastri river enters the Arabian Sea. It has a commanding view of the bay, the nearby power plant and the open sea. A jetty port Angrey, and a lighthouse is located nearby. Although in ruins, most of the fort's outer wall and ramparts still stand. A deep moat surrounds the fort side not facing the cliff edge. In the middle of the 13 acre fort lies the palace of Kanhoji Angre, a Ganpati temple and wells to store water. It is a protected monument.
Ganpatipule is a small town located in the Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, in the sub-continent of India. The town of Chiplun is located to its north
The twin beaches of Aare and Ware is just about a few kilometers from the Ganpatipule temple near Bhandarpule. The Aare - Ware point offers a awe inspiring view of the vast expanse of the sea. With turquoise blue water all around you, the Aare - Waare point is nice place to sit and watch watch the sun go down.

Guhagar, is a temple town in Ratnagiri district and in all
regards with many outstanding temples in and around.
Temples committed to various forms of Lord Shiva
like Vyadeshwar, Talkeshwar, Udaleshwar, Velneshwar,
Balkeshwar and a temple of Ufrata Ganapati Guhagar
truely lives upto its reputation. Chandika Mandir is
another well known temple close by. The famous
Vashishti River flows near Guhagar.
Guhagar beach is one of the cleanest and less polluted
beaches in Maharashtra. It is located just within 200
metres from Guhagar S.T. Depot towards the western
side. Guhagar beach is assumed to be very safe, with
many venturing out to sea for a swim.
Guhagar beach with its unspoiled white sand beach,
offers everything one looks for in a secluded beach.
