The Bali Travel Guide serves as a guide and inspiration for people looking to travel to Bali for the first time. The Bali guide suggests sights to see, activities to do, or dishes to eat. It includes my top things to do and places to visit in Bali and is based on my travel to Bali during the summer of 2017. I spent roughly two weeks on the island visiting Ubud, the Gili Islands, and Seminyak.
I tried to add as much helpful information as I could, which I hope provides a good idea on how to travel Bali or at least serve as a form of inspiration. If you have any suggestions or feedback feel free to comment below, as any feedback is appreciated, I hope you find the video useful. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more content!

Best Bali Tours: North South East West and Ubud Bali
The best Bali Tours shares the top tourist attractions and best areas to visit in North Bali, South Bali, East Bali, West Bali as well as central Ubud, Gianyar and Kintamani (full itinerary below). In total this quick list of Best Bali Tours took us 3 weeks, although there was a fair bit of relaxation between, and the same Bali tour could probably be covered in 2 weeks if hurried. Anyway, below is the full route of our Ultimate Tour of Bali starting from Ngurah Rai International Airport (near Denpasar) and travelling north to start in Ubud the cultural capital of Bali.
1. Ubud (Central Bali): Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Kecak Fire & Trance Dance (Pura Dalem Taman Kaja),
2. Gianyar Valleys (Ubud): HOSHINOYA Bali Resort
3. Day Tour 1: Tegenungan Waterfall, 2. Goa Gajah: Elephant Cave, 3. Uma Pakel Agrotourism: Kopi Luwak (civet cat crap coffee) and Giant Swing, 4. Tegalalang Rice Terrace, 5. Pura Tirta Empul Temple).
4. Day Tour 2: Ulun Danu Beratan, 2. Pura Ulun Danu Batur Temple, 3. Mount Batur View Point, 4. Besakih Temple).
5. Amed (East Bali): Local fishing scenes on Amed Beach and views of Mount Agung
6. Northern Bali Attractions: Various Rice fields/terraces, Gates to Heaven (Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang), Tirta Gangga Water Palace, Twin Lakes (Buyan Lake and Tambingan Lake), Ulun Danu Tamblingan Temple.
7. Lovina (North Bali): Lovina Dolphin Tour and local beach life.
8. North West Bali: Menjangan Dynasty Glamping Resort, Sumberkima Hill Resort, Sumberkima Bay tour with fish farms and Gili Putih Island, and sunset on Pemuteran Beach
9. Journey to South Bali: Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Taman Ayun Temple, Seminyak
10. Nusa Lembongan: 1 Night at Mahagiri Resort
11. Nusa Penida: Crystal Beach, Broken Beach, Angel Billabong, T-Rex Bay (Kelingking Beach), Rumah Pohon Tree House, Diamond Beach, Atuh Beach.
12. Sanur: Kayumanis Sanur Private Villa & Spa
There are a couple of obvious omissions when it comes to tourist attractions in Bali, such as Tanah Lot, as well as the major beach resorts of southern Bali. However we have covered these destinations before as tourists (and have doubled/tripled up on some tourist attractions by now) and just prefer to avoid them because they are ridiculously touristy these days. Otherwise we aim to share the lesser-known attractions of Bali and the more off-the-beaten-track routes and tours in Bali.

My amazing first trip to Bali Indonesia for the best Balinese food
My first trip to Bali Indonesia, another food and travel adventure. Bali is quite unique with great beaches, great weather and plenty of natural sites to visit. There's endless amounts of accommodation, from a few dollars a day to 5 star luxury villas or hotels. Watch the Chef cook a Grilled Fish Jimbaran style. I stayed in Kuta then traveled through Legian, Seminyak and finished up in Canggu. The people are friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely go again. See my next travel vlog for an incredible villa with private pool.

Bali is one of the most evocative and popular tourist islands of the entire Indonesian archipelago. A visit here sparks the senses. As soon as you arrive, the intoxicating fragrance of incense and clove oil hangs in the thick tropical air. Peanuts sizzle at roadside stalls, petal-strewn offerings smolder on busy sidewalks, and traditional gamelan music jangles against the buzz of mopeds. Despite the clamor and chaos of the main tourist areas, the island is rich in natural beauty, with attractions for every kind of traveler. Surfers come for the legendary swells, hikers can trek up jungly volcanic peaks and to misty waterfalls, and cyclists can bike through lush landscapes bristling with rice terraces and traditional villages.
1 Pura Tanah Lot
About 20 kilometers northwest of Kuta, Pura Tanah Lot (Pura means temple in Balinese) is one of Bali's most iconic temples thanks to its spectacular seaside setting on a rocky islet surrounded by crashing waves. For the Balinese people, it is one of the most sacred of all the island's sea temples. (The largest and holiest Hindu temple in Bali is Pura Besakih, but recently local hagglers have been harassing visitors.) Every evening, throngs of tourists from Kuta, Legian, and Sanur find their way through a labyrinth of lanes lined by souvenir sellers to watch the sun setting behind the temple.
2 Mount Batur
Every day in Bali's predawn darkness, hundreds of visitors begin the trek up the 1,700-meter summit of Mount Batur to watch the sun rise above the lush mosaic of mist-shrouded mountains and the caldera far below. This sacred active volcano lies in Kintamani District in Bali's central highlands, about an hour's drive from Ubud, and the hike to the summit to watch the sunrise has long graced the list of top things to do in Bali.
3 Uluwatu Temple
Presiding over plunging sea cliffs above one of Bali's best surf spots, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of the island's most famous temples, thanks to its magnificent clifftop setting. In Balinese, Ulu means tip or land's end and Watu means rock, a fitting name for the location of the temple on the Bukit Peninsula along the island's southwestern tip. Like Pura Tanah Lot, sunset is the best time to visit, when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light.
7 Waterbom Bali
Waterbom Bali is an action-packed waterpark, in the heart of Kuta, with something for every member of the family. Kids can splash in the swimming pools; drift down the Lazy River; or zoom down one of the many twisting water slides and rides, with names like the Python, Green Viper, and Super Bowl. Moms and dads can relax with a reflexology session, manicure or pedicure, or fish spa therapy. Restaurants and cafes cater to a range of different diets, and the grounds are landscaped with large, shady trees and beautiful tropical gardens, making this a refreshing respite from the heat on a hot tropical day.
Address: Jl. Kartika, Tuban, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Official site:
8 Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
On a small island along the western shore of Lake Bratan, in the cool highlands of central Bali, the 17th-century Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is one of Bali's most picturesque temple complexes. Set against the imposing backdrop of Gunung Bratan, the thatched temples reflect on the lake, and when the water levels rise, they seem to float on its surface. Lake Bratan is one of Bali's main sources of irrigation and drinking water, and the temple complex is dedicated to Dewi Danu, goddess of the sea and lakes.

Bali Tirta Empul Temple is built around the sacred holy spring. Special thank you to Made for driving us around!
Bali is an amazing place to eat - there are so many incredible dishes, and the unique Balinese culture paired with the food is what makes it so special. In this Indonesian street food tour of Bali, I’m taking you to 6 street food stalls / restaurants in a row, for serious food lovers!
Warung Nasi Bali Men Weti - Some consider this legendary stall, right along the ocean to be the best Balinese local street food spot in Denpasar, Bali, and after eating it, there’s absolutely no room for argument. The plate of food you’ll be served is nothing short of spectacular, full of Balinese flavor.
Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83) per plate
Warung Mak Beng - Known for their fried fish set, Warung Mak Beng is another legendary Balinese restaurant. Their fish was amazing, both the fish head soup and the fried fish, and not forgetting their amazing sambal. Another must eat when you’re in Bali.
Price - 45,000 IDR ($3.29) per set
Sate Plecing Arjuna - This is a place you come to eat sate plecing, a type of Indonesian street food sate that’s covered in a shrimp paste chili sambal. They were incredibly delicious as well, especially the samel.
Total price - 68,000 IDR ($4.98)
Sate Babi Bawah Pohon - In Bali, pork is very common, and this is probably one of the most well known Indonesian street food stalls in all of Bali. For me the pork sate was a little on the sweet side, however it was still pretty tasty.
Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83)
Babi Guling Pak Dobiel - When it comes to Balinese food, there’s nothing more famous to try than babi guling, Balinese style roast pig served with all the side dishes. It’s spectacular combination and you’ll find dozens of restaurants serving babi guling. In this Balinese food tour I went to Babi Guling Pak Dobiel, and it’s the best plate of babi guling I had in Bali.
Total price - 100,000 IDR ($7.32) for 2
Warung Kintamani - Ubud - Finally, to finish off this Balinese food tour, we headed back to Ubud and Made, took me to eat mujair nyatnyat, tilapia in a curry sauce. It was awesome delicious, a perfect way to end this Indonesian street food tour of Bali.
Total price - 105,000 IDR ($7.68) for 3

Bali Ubud Info:
Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali in Ubud District, located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency. Promoted as an arts and culture centre, it has developed a large tourism industry.
Ubud's population of about 74,320 people is dwarfed by the more than 3 million foreign tourists who visit every year. The area surrounding the town is made up of small farms, rice paddies, agroforestry plantations, and tourist accommodations. As of 2018, more tourists visited Ubud than Denpasar in southern Bali.

WHAT TO EAT IN BALI - Best Indonesian Food and Warungs
Wondering what to eat in Bali during your holiday? Here are the absolute best Indonesian food and Warungs in Sanur, Bali. We tried the famous Babi Guling dish and got into some delicious Indonesian street food at the Bali night market. Let us know which of these 5 Indonesian foods are your favorite down in the comments below!
First up was trying traditional Bali coffee and a popular health tonic at a local warung in Sanur. Bali coffee is unlike anything I’ve ever had before as they make the coffee with the grounds still in the mug! I liked how strong and flavorful the “kopi tubruk” was and also really enjoyed “Kunyit Asam” which is a turmeric and lime drink that is lightly sweetened.
Next we get into the good stuff. If you ask anyone what the best food in Bali is they will likely say Babi Guling. Babi Guling is a whole roast suckling pig similar to the filipino dish Lechon. We visited one of the best warungs in Bali called Warung Babi Guling Sanur to try the infamous dish. The plate filled with pork, rice, sambal matah, crispy skin, sate and peanuts was amazing and so spicy! I would highly recommend anyone try Babi Guling if you are coming to Bali, especially because pork is not widely eaten anywhere else in the Indonesian food scene because it is a predominately muslim country.
I tried a fish head soup at another one of the best warungs in Bali and it is also one of the oldest still in operation. Warung Mak Beng in Sanur Bali is a popular soup spot right near Sanur Beach serving up fish head soup, rice, and fried mackerel all for only $45K Indonesian Rupiah.
As the sun started to set, we headed to the Bali night market in Sanur to try two final dishes: Jaje Bali and Nasi Campur. Nasi Campur is one of the most famous items in the Balinese street food world and regarded by most as the best Indonesian food. It consists of mixed rice with protein and vegetables which was excellent and easily ranked in my Top 5 food in Indonesia list. Jaje Bali was an unexpected sweet surprise and should definitely make your Bali food guide list. It’s a lesser known Bali dessert that consists of different starches rolled in coconut and drizzled with honey. The dessert isn’t too sweet and had just the right amount of flavor! It was great.
If you’re looking for the best Indonesian food and Warungs in Sanur Bali then this should be a great starting list for you. The food in Indonesia is quite spicy so make sure you ask for “little spicy” if you are sensitive to spice and avoid getting what they call Bali Belly. The food in Bali is diverse, delicious, and affordable if you eat at local restaurants and warungs. We hope you liked this taste of Indonesia street food and classic Bali food dishes. Let us know which one of these is your favorite and make sure you check out our food vlog playlist to see more mouth watering classics in different countries!
