GUISI Beach and Lighthouse Guimaras Island Philippines
Guisi Lighthouse is a ruin of an 18th century Spanish parola located at the Guisi Point of Barangay Dolores in Nueva Valencia. Known as Faro de Punta Luzaran, it is the second oldest lighthouse in the Philippines.
Guimaras Island Philippines - Guisi Beach & Lighthouse & Eating Mangos
Today we are exploring guimaras islands best beach, guisi beach. Guisi beach lighthouse is the second oldest lighthouse in the philippines. Also we will be eating the best mangos in the philippines which are only grown in guimaras.
For our first day we hired a bike for the day for 500 pesos (we didnt try to negotiate a better pricefor some reason) which our accomodation called czech guesthouse organised for us. The owners at czech guesthouse told us the best beach on the island is guisi beach which is around 30 mins bike ride away through nice quiet village roads and hills.
You can park your bike for free at the designated area by guisi beach which is great. Once you get to the bottom of the stairs you will be greeted with bright blue turquoise water which the Philippines is well known for. Guisi beach is kept very clean and only has a handful of boats there, there was 2 or 3 other foreigners there but we can tell that foreigners dont really reach this beach.
A short walk along the beach and you will reach guisi lighthouse, this lighthouse is the second oldest lighthouse in the whole of the Philippines and is a good history lesson if you like these types of things. You can walk around the ruins and also get a good view of the beach and water to. You can buy drinks ect on your way up to guisi lighthouse from the locals selling goods.
Last but not least we bought some mangos from the fruit sellers along the side of the road. Never have either of us tasted mangos this good! they are incredibly sweet and juicy by far the best we have ever tasted.
Guisi beach and lighthouse are amazing things to do if you ever visit guimaras island, the best island in the Philippines for mangos
Guisi Lighthouse on Guimaras Island ~ 1700 era steel lighthouse. Philippines
We take a tour through the 1700 era Spanish lighthouse called the Guisi Lighthouse. It was a fun tour seeing both the fortified compound and the original rusted out steel lighthouse. One more earthquake may bring down one side of the fortress or more. Originally filmed in 2004.

Guisi Beach is known for its white sands and rock formations. Like in most part of Guimaras, a good number of yellow rocks can also be found on this beach.

Is it really worth going to Guisi Lighthouse in Guimaras?
My friends and I travelled by ro-ro from Bacolod to Iloilo to Jordan to get to this quaint spot featuring an old lighthouse and it turns out it has two other evil twins in this heavily photobombed place.
The beach was a lot better, clear crystal waters, few people, but the place in general was so dry and dusty in the summer that fresh water is hard to come buy that after swimming for free at the beach, rinsing off with a pail of fresh water costs P50.

ILOILO-GUIMARAS, PHILIPPINES 2016 | Alubihod Beach & Guisi Lighthouse || Twins&Schemes
Days before school starts we went on a trip to Iloilo and Guimaras with our cousin to end our six-month long vacation. This (almost) week-long vacation was so incredible, from an early morning flight to the city of Iloilo to the breathtaking beaches around Guimaras. These places are not given much recognition in which we think they should be. We hope you enjoy this video montage we made as much as we did filming and editing it.

Guisi Lighthouse & Beach in Guimaras Island | Travel Vlog
Visitors to Guisi Beach and Lighthouse are rewarded with beautiful island seascapes of Guimaras and the charm of its heritage. Situated at the southwestern coast of Guimaras, Guisi Beach is blessed with golden-yellow sand, emerald green waters, stunning rock formations, and an 18th century Spanish-colonial lighthouse. The beach sits in a natural enclave, which is protected from harsh sea currents and strong winds. The sand in Guisi might not be perfectly white or fine but its alluring waters and rugged coastline more than make up for it.
The Guisi Lighthouse is an 18th century Spanish-colonial lighthouse built beside the beach. It was built to guide mariners passing the Iloilo and Guimaras strait. The lighthouse can be reached by following a light trail. The 15-minute uphill trek to the Guisi Lighthouse also provides a great view of the beach. At the top of the hill are the ruins of a Spanish-colonial outpost and the rotting remains of the metal lighthouse structure. Although the condition of the old lighthouse is already in disarray the Guimarasnons take pride in having the second oldest lighthouse, next to the old lighthouse in Aparri, Cagayan.
