GULF ISLANDS NATIONAL SEASHORE, FLORIDA, USA
The famous and spectacular sugar-white sand beaches of Florida.
Gulf Islands National Seashore, Santa Rosa Area, is located between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach on FL Route 399.
Avoid driving during windy days, most likely the road is full of sand, also do not pull over to the side (unless you drive a 4x4), the sand is very deep and puffy, only a tow-truck will get you out, and that does not come cheap.
Lots of beaches with free parking.
Gorgeous place to visit and enjoy during your vacation in northwest Florida.

You can still find a quiet stretch of beautiful beach to be alone on in Navarre Beach & Pensacola Beach in Northwest Florida. This part of Florida is called the Emerald Coast because of it's emerald green waters. It also has some of the whitest quart sand anywhere in the world. The area is great for canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, or just relaxing & listening to the sound of surf & seagulls. There are artificial reefs within swimming distance of the shoreline that attract all sorts of sealife, including everyone's favorites, sea turtles & dolphins.
On one side of this thin strip of land that stretches for many miles is the Gulf of Mexico, & on the other side is the Intracoastal Waterway, commonly referred to by the locals as the sound.

It's our last day here at Gulf Islands National Park even though we didn't want it to be! After having an amazing day exploring Fort Pickens at Pensacola Beach and camping our rv right next to the beach we had an unexpected visitor. I've never been so unhappy to see a national park ranger before.

Gulf Islands National Seashore Florida - Fort Pickens Area
Florida Gulf lslands National Seashore and State Park between Pensacola Beach and Fort Pickens
Gulf Islands National Seashore
We stayed at the Fort Pickens Campground on the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Our first time there and we'll, for sure, return next year. Love that it's part of the National Park Service. it cost $14 a night using our Senior Pass, and that included water and electric.
The Gulf Islands National Seashore is home to sparkling blue waters, white beaches and coastal marshes. However, more than 80% of the national park is underwater, as it's a vital protective habitat to marine life.

Ft. Pickens and Gulf Islands National Seashore
Day 32-1 February 2, 2018
We stop and visit Ft. Pickens but were unable to get a camp site. We had to go back to Pensacola to get a motel room.
It was very cold and the wind made conditions even worse. It was all I could go to stop shaking from the cold wind.

Best Pensacola Beach // Exploring Gulf Islands National Seashore with Kids - Florida - Part 6
Our family went exploring the Gulf Islands National Seashore with kids in Gulf Breeze, FL, which is right next to Pensacola Beach, Florida.
We are at Langdon Beach on the Gulf Islands National Seashore in Florida and we are at Langdon Beach FL, we went snorkeling at the beach, we built a sandcastle on the seashore and we had a great beach day. I was surprised at how clear the Gulf water was on Langdon Beach Florida because just a few miles up the road it is not this clear.
To get to the Gulf Islands National Seashore and Langdon Beach, there is a $20 charge to get into the park, but the park pass gets you in the park for 7 days. So if you are planning a Pensacola vacation, and you want to go to the National Seashore, make sure that you go there on one of the first days that way if you have time to go back and explore more, you can.
We didn't realize that you got a pass for 7 days at the Gulf Islands National Seashore, so we went on the last day and the park ranger told us that the pass was good for the whole week. I wish that we would have went on the first day.
Have you ever been to a National Seashore before? Let me know in the comments below! Also, what is your favorite beach?

Navarre Beach Florida, Santa Rosa Sound, Gulf Islands National Seashore. Swim, Fish & Play
Navarre Beach Florida on the Florida panhandle, Santa Rosa Sound & Gulf Islands National Seashore. Labor Day weekend visit, swimming, fishing, crabbing, eating and playing, enjoying the beaches. Catching croakers, sucker fish, baby drum, baby shark and even a stingray. Great beaches to visit as a family, quieter than Pensacola, Gulf Shores and Destin but close enough for a short drive to visit. Nice dinner at Peg Leg Pete’s & a great breakfast at Native Cafe in Pensacola. The Emerald Coast is beautiful, water can change fast sometimes, from crystal clear to green and grassy, the Sound is a perfect alternative to a grassy day on the Gulf side. There is a lot more to do in Navarre than we did on this trip, be sure to look up more and subscribe to get notices of future videos. Visit the Navarre Pier too, longest on the Gulf, great fishing spot, rent poles or bring your own, have a plan to get bigger fish up and out of the water.
