Camping at Gulf Islands National Seashore - Ocean Springs, Mississippi
The Gulf Islands National Seashore stretches along coastline from Florida to Mississippi. We camped in the Davis Bayou, which is located in Mississippi. The kids earned their 30th Junior Ranger badge, and the ranger gave us a cool tip about wooden badges! We loved this campground, despite the no-see-ums that kept biting us, as it had a huge backyard with a fire pit and picnic table and backed right up to the water in the bayou. The walking and biking trails in the area were fun to explore, and we saw alligators, turtles and frogs!

This national park is all about the bayou. It also serves as a headquarters for the Gulf Islands National Seashore, which is comprised mainly of several barrier islands.

I took a walk down the Natures Way nature trail. It was a kind of dreary and rainy day but the scenery is really nice. No snakes, alligators, squirrels or even birds on my walk BUT is was a really nice walk!!
