Bangkok to Hanoi | FIRST PHO IN VIETNAM!
Location: Bangkok, Thailand to Hanoi, Vietnam.
Traveling from Bangkok to Hanoi was a treat in comparison to the rough overland travel we'd grown accustom to over the past few weeks. Today we flew from Bangkok (BKK) to Hanoi (HAN) via Veit Jet.
Veit Jet offered the cheapest price between Bangkok and Hanoi. I had read some bad reviews about the airline. However, I have to say that our trip from BKK was HAN was very enjoyable. Checkin at the Bangkok Airport was a breeze, and flight left and arrived on time.
Once we arrived at the Hanoi Airport, things didn't quite a smoothly. Immigration took at least two hours. Then we had trouble finding the public bus into the city center of Hanoi. However, we quickly forgot all of our problems when we were upgrade to a suite room at the Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi!

Hanoi, Vietnam: Traveling for $20 A Day - Ep 13
In Hanoi, Vietnam, I got a buffet breakfast, beef pho, bun cha, ice cream, Vietnemese egg coffee, sugarcane juice, four Hanoi beers, a room in a hostel, and explored the entire Old Quarter and western side of the city, all in one day - all for LESS THAN 15 DOLLARS. Seriously, this is the cheapest city I've ever visited.
($20 USD = 445,000 Vietnamese dong)
Here's how I spent my money in one full day in Hanoi:
Hostel bed - 112,000 dong
Breakfast buffet - FREE (included with hostel)
Ice cream - 8,000
Egg coffee - 17,000
Beef pho - 30,000
Fried dough snack - 7,000
Temple of Literature - 30,000
Sugarcane juice - 10,000
Ho Chi Minh Complex - 40,000
Bun Cha - 35,000
Four beers @7k/beer - 28,000
TOTAL COST = 319,000 dong ($14.26 USD)
Oh, and one more thing: the egg coffee I drank in this video is seriously the best coffee I've ever had in my entire life. If you visit Hanoi, you MUST TRY egg coffee.

This hostel had the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They were so happy to help me make this video and show me around Hanoi. I couldn't have had such an amazing yet frugal day without the help of the Chien Hostel staff. Shout out to Chun and Tuan!

About Me:
My name is Kevin Cook. I'm originally from Dallas, TX, but I've been living and traveling in Asia since 2013.
After graduating from university in 2011 and working a few unfulfilling jobs, I saved enough money to move to Asia and work as a teacher for a few years. That opportunity allowed me to travel around and experience new foods and cultures, and ignited a passion for blogging and making videos.
Now I travel full-time and make videos with the goal that I can encourage YOU to pursue your own dream of overseas traveling and living.

Vietnam Vlog: Hanoi & Ha Long Bay - Asia Trip
Continuing with the Asia vlogs, after Hong Kong we visited Vietnam for the first time.
Visiting Ha Long Bay in particular was pretty interesting and surreal, but I also got rained on more than I ever had before.
Still, it was an interesting location and we were both really shocked by the sheer amount of motorcycles in the country.
I hope you enjoy this video, and the final few coming soon.

Exploring HANOI - What To See & Exact Cost ????????
Travel has a lot to do with the costs of living. How cheap is Hanoi Vietnam? Today we break down the cost of accommodation, food and drink, transportation and also activities to help you budget your trip to Vietnam better, specifically in Hanoi which is the capital city of Vietnam, where we stay for 3 days and it totally make our experience in Vietnam amazing.
Vietnam is a place where you could find anything from nice and cheap budget backpacker hostel, great Airbnb room, great hotels, great budget friendly restaurants with reasonable prices, especially in the popular city of the country like Hanoi. The country is generally said a bit cheaper than Thailand, greatly affordable for budget traveler or backpackers who dream of traveling South East Asia. it is still a perfect place to see the culture of Vietnam, perfect for food travel and those who enjoy Vietnamese food. Hanoi also got its specialty in Pho, which is the popular Vietnamese food. With the short stay, we totally love it there in Hanoi.

Pham Ngu Lao nightlife is also one of Ho Chi Minh’s finest, with throngs of street vendors, bia hoi stalls, lively bars, and downtown clubs filling up the lively scene. Interesting nightlife entertainment spots include The View Rooftop Bar, Seventeen Saloon, Go 2 and Crazy Buffalo Nightclub as well as many smaller pubs that are known for their cheap drinks and happy hour promos. It’s also common around here to meet friendly expats who are more than happy to share a few tips about travelling in and beyond Vietnam. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, we highly suggest getting up early and visit the parks within the area. It is interesting to see (and even to join in on) the elders participating in Tai Chi-like exercise sessions. Another must-do is heading to the morning markets such as Ben Tanh Market, where local vendors sell a wide array of fresh produce, household supplies, and Vietnamese street food at attractive prices. As Pham Ngu Lao is not such a large area, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot - the best time to do this is in the morning and late afternoon as the weather can be rather scorching at the height of the day. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also travel agencies that can help arrange for day trips within the city centre and beyond.

Hanoi, Vietnam Capital City - Top Places To Visit In The World
Hello, and welcome to Top Places To Visit In The World, Youtube Channel, where you can find great suggestions for your near, or future trips. It's Jenny. And, I'm so happy to introduce to you such a great place to visit in southeast asia.
Yeah, we're back to Vietnam. A beautiful and peaceful country. And, The place we choose to visit today, is, yeah. It's Hanoi, Vietnam Capital City.
So now, let's go.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the country's second largest city. Its population in 2009 was estimated at 2.6 million for urban districts and 7 million for the metropolitan jurisdiction. The population in 2015 was estimated at 7.7 million people. From 1010 until 1802, it was the most important political centre of Vietnam. It was eclipsed by Hue, the imperial capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), but Hanoi served as the capital of French Indochina from 1902 to 1954. From 1954 to 1976, it was the capital of North Vietnam, and it became the capital of a reunified Vietnam in 1976, after the North's victory in the Vietnam War.

Hanoi, Vietnam | 2 Coffee's in Hanoi you HAVE to try! | South East Asia Vlog E42
Today I conned Max into coming with me on a coffee mission!
Our first stop was Cong Caphe for a coconut coffee smoothie, then Huongmai Cafe to stock up on Vietnamese coffee supplies! After a wee break we went to Cafe Pho Co to try the original egg coffee. Both coffees were sooo yum and I'm really happy I get to recreate my own Vietnamese coffee at home.
Max also managed to eat 3 banh mi sandwiches (a delicious Vietnamese side of the road subway-like food) throughout the day & we found a little old lady selling Lonely Planets, it's so strange - the counterfeit book stalls are right outside the normal bookstores and no one seems to care!
If you've got a spare afternoon I highly recommend hunting out these delicious coffees!

Do tourists in Hoan Kiem Lake know about Hanoi & Vietnam ?
10% OFF on all our tours (goasiadaytrip.com) with the code TRAVEL10 this offer will be available until the 22nd August 2019
We wanted to know if tourists in Hanoi know about Hanoi and Vietnam in general. Indeed, we went to Hoan Kiem Lake which is considered as the heart of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Then, we interviewed 5 different groups of people: Paula and Shawn (from Brazil and England), Justine and Florence (from Canada), Tom (from United States), Matteo (from Italy) & Gathin (from Wales).
The game was the following: firstly, we asked them 5 questions about Hanoi and Vietnam, secondly, they had to answer to each question, thirdly we gave them the right answers and counted their scores. According to their scores they could have a discount on all of our tours on Goasiadaytrip website (goasiadaytrip.com) with the code TRAVEL 15. We also gave them souvenirs such as keyrings.
Here are the 5 questions with the correct answers:
QUESTION #1: How do you say hello in Vietnamese?
ANSWER #1: Xin chào
QUESTION #2: Who was Ho Chi Minh?
ANSWER #2: Ho Chi Minh was the president of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) from 1945 to 1969. He was also Prime Minister from 1945 to 1955. If Ho Chi Minh is very popular among the Vietnamese people today, it’s because he spent his whole life to fight for Independency of North and South Vietnam. Indeed, he found the Viet Cong movement during the Vietnam War.
QUESTION #3: How many Vietnamese dong for 1 USD?
ANSWER #3: 1 USD = 23,451 VND (according to xe.com on the 22.05.2019)
QUESTION #4: What’s the name of the Red Bridge of Hoan Kiem Lake (The Huc Bridge)?
ANSWER #4: The Huc Bridge: is a big symbol of Hoan Kiem Lake and of the city of Hanoi. This bridge is very awesome and even more during the night as it lights up the lake. A lot of tourists take picture of it during their trip to Hoan Kiem Lake.
QUESTION #5: What’s the name of the biggest lake in Hanoi ?
ANSWER #5: West Lake: this lake is very famous in Hanoi and as told in the video the biggest of the city. Over there you will find many activities to do during your trip to Hanoi.
Here is an article where you can learn more about West Lake:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Hanoi tours - Vietnam Travel Guide | Asia Charm Tours
Hanoi Vietnam, capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Hanoi is one of the most visited of the popular destinations, is the beautiful capital city of Vietnam, sprawling in the banks of the Red River with French colonial heritage, most foreigners on a short visit find Hanoi to be slow paced, pleasant and even charming.
Hanoi is a sacred land of Vietnam. The year 1010 then became an historical date for Hanoi and for the whole country in general. For about a thousand years, the capital was called Thang Long (Soaring Dragon), then changing to Dong Do, Dong Kinh, and finally to Hanoi, in 1831. This sacred piece of land thereafter continued to be the theatre of many fateful events. Throughout the thousand years of its eventful history, marked by destruction, wars and natural calamities, Hanoi still preserves many ancient architectural works including the Old Quarter and over 600 pagodas and temples. Famous sites include the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, Hanoi Citadel, Hanoi Opera House, President Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum...
