Ha Tien, in Vietnam's southwest corner, sees few visitors, as essentially no tour groups make it here. It's a low-key place, with a couple good beaches, fish shacks and cave sites to see. On the ride from Chau Doc (four or so hours north) you can stop off at an amazing Tuc Dup Hill (a Vietnam War site the US spent untold millions to conquer, in vain).

Ha Tien town is located in Southern Vietnam near the Vietnam / Cambodian border. There are actually quite a few tourist sites to see around the area of Ha Tien so it worth staying here a couple of nights in one of the many guesthouses / hotels situated in the town center.

It's my first fish market and it's the biggest i've ever seen in Asia.
There was so many species, in a crazy number. I'm not sure Vietnam and vietnamese fisherman are respectful of the amounts, size and protected species..

Ancient fields inside the city | HA TIEN VIETNAM
Ha Tien is a city in Kiên Giang Province, Mekong Delta in Vietnam. The city borders Cambodia to the west. Hà Tiên is a popular tourist site of the region thanks to its beautiful beaches and landscapes.
Ha Tien is part of the Mekong Delta, but located on the Gulf of Thailand, it feels a world away from rice fields and rivers typical of the region. There are impressive limestone blocks that drain this area, where there is a network of caves, some of which have been turned into temples. The pepper plantations cling to the hillside. On a clear day, Phu Quoc Island is easily visible to the west.

Not far from town are the Mac Cuu Family Tombs, known locally as Nui Lang, the Hill of the Tombs. Mac Cuu, a Khmer-appointed 18th-century Chinese governor, and several dozen of his relatives are buried here in traditional Chinese tombs decorated with figures of dragons, phoenixes, lions and guardians. At the bottom of the complex is an ornate shrine dedicated to the Mac family. Best with a good guide as the beauty is mostly in the history.
