21st of Nov 2015 A Day Trip to the Outer Banks off North Carolina
We drove South from Virginia Beach to Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks where the Wright Brothers recorded their first flight, and then pushed further South to Cape Hatteras where we found a Big Game Boat Fishing Harbor at Nags Head. The game boats were all set up for Marlin and Giant BluefinTuna fishing with amazing setups and up to four game chairs per boat. They had casts of a world record Atlantic Blue Marlin and a North Carolina State Record Giant Bluefin Tuna on display.
We headed back North again as far as we could go on sealed roads to Duck and Corolla and had a good look around. The real estate development was amazing right along the coast and we stopped at Corolla and had a link around the old village there where they had a small marina to allow small recreational boats into dock surrounded by a beautiful park. It was a full day trip and the sun was setting over the causeway going back to the mainland late in the afternoon. If I ever get back here I'm going to set up a big game fishing charter, it looks like they have the goods, unfortunately we didn't have time or the $ for that this time.

The yachts are built on a hull developed through years of building commercial fishing boats and crabbers designed to withstand the worst conditions of Alaska and the Bering Sea.
You have to see this boat to believe it!! Amazing easy-to-maintain technology, smart engineering, fantastic interior spaces and finishes, four water proof bulkheads, nine redundant touch screen computers around the boat that control all functions of the boat, etc., etc. THIS BOAT IS READY TO CRUISE THE WORLD WITH 5,000 GALS OF FUEL AND CONSUMPTION OF ONLY 10 GPH AT CRUISING SPEED!! Engines are C18's rated for continuous use at a very conservative 600 hp ( the same C18's in a Johnson 70 is rated at 1400 hp - for only 5 minutes!!)
Allseas Yachts was founded by Bernny Alls, an old timer in steel boats manufacturing. Benny began his career in boat building in 1975 and began building steel commercial fishing boats from 48' to 100 ft in length. He trained his son, Tim Alls, to weld and the two of them were soon building some of the most rugged steel commercial boats on the market.
Their clients needed boats that could endure the extreme weather of Alaska and the bearing Seas. Hulls needed to be tough enough to handle occasional rocks as well as large logs in the water. Stability was a huge factor so that these boats could fish in rough water weather which was so common in Southern Alaska.
Experience has tough the builders the thickness of the hulls needed to be tough enough to handle occasional rocks as well as large logs in the water. Stability was a huge factor so that these boats could fish in rough weather which was so common in Southeast Alaska. Benny and Tim had to learn by experience the thickness of glass and window spacing's required to survive 75 foot waves that fishermen sometimes come upon unexpectedly. With Benny's experience in building tough steel hulls and Tim's experience in the hi-tech industry an unusual balance was achieved between old school thinking and new school technology.

New Bern
Here's a whimsical tour of my recent visit to historic New Bern, an important North Carolina seaport village nestled on the banks of the Neuse and Trent Rivers, just up-river from the Pamilco Sound. Fully accessible by boat, this charming, friendly, civil-minded town is most famous for its star attraction, Tryon Palace, seat of the British Colonial governement and later, briefly, North Carolina's capital city. Stroll through the downtown New Bern, its riverfront, and the Palace's truly lovely gardens with Mrs. Happy Feet, your five-minute tour guide!

Episode 11 - These Two Unusual Market Signals Could Unwind the Current Bull Market
Porter’s nervous this week because he’s seeing two very specific and unusual things that have never happened in the markets before…and it’s “completely insane.” Porter and Buck welcome special guest Richard Maybury, editor of the U.S. & World Early Warning Report and author of the common-sense Uncle Eric book series. Richard enlightens listeners to the concept of “Chaostan” and reveals how this unpredictable part of the world has ironically led to one of the most predictable trends in investing. Porter opens the mailbag and tells a listener how to take advantage of record-low market volatility, and the inevitable reversion to the mean of the VIX once the bull market changes course.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Charleston is the oldest and largest city in the U.S. state of South Carolina, the county seat of Charleston County, and the principal city in the Charleston–North Charleston–Summerville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city lies just south of the geographical midpoint of South Carolina's coastline and is located on Charleston Harbor, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean formed by the confluence of the Ashley, Cooper, and Wando rivers. Charleston had an estimated population of 136,208 in 2018. The estimated population of the Charleston metropolitan area, comprising Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties, was 787,643 residents in 2018, the third-largest in the state and the 78th-largest metropolitan statistical area in the United States.
Charleston was founded in 1670 as Charles Town, honoring King Charles II of England. Its initial location at Albemarle Point on the west bank of the Ashley River (now Charles Towne Landing) was abandoned in 1680 for its present site, which became the fifth-largest city in North America within ten years. Despite its size, it remained unincorporated throughout the colonial period; its government was handled directly by a colonial legislature and a governor sent by London. Election districts were organized according to Anglican parishes, and some social services were managed by Anglican wardens and vestries. Charleston adopted its present spelling with its incorporation as a city in 1783 at the close of the Revolutionary War. Population growth in the interior of South Carolina influenced the removal of the state government to Columbia in 1788, but the port city remained among the ten largest cities in the United States through the 1840 census. Historians estimate that nearly half of all Africans brought to America arrived in Charleston, most at Gadsden's Wharf. The only major antebellum American city to have a majority-enslaved population, Charleston was controlled by an oligarchy of white planters and merchants who successfully forced the federal government to revise its 1828 and 1832 tariffs during the Nullification Crisis and launched the Civil War in 1861 by seizing the Arsenal, Castle Pinckney, and Fort Sumter from their federal garrisons.
Known for its rich history, well-preserved architecture, distinguished restaurants, and hospitable people, Charleston is a popular tourist destination. ...
