08.12.2018 - Samstag zwischen 21:15 und 23:30 am HB Zürich. Wie üblich ist der HB am Wochenende auch in der Nacht sehr gut besucht. Party-Hungrige eher jüngere Leute vermischen sich mit Reisenden Menschen. Zudem findet in der grossen Bahnhofshalle noch ein Weihnachtsmarkt statt, sodass es noch einen hauch von Weihnachtsstimmung am HB gibt. Ein lustiger Mix aus Menschen, die man am HB antrifft. Laut schrill hektisch und viel Zugverkehr laden ein um hier zu sein. Das ist der HB Zürich.

18.03.2017 - Der Hauptbahnhof Zürich kann für nicht ortskundige Menschen schnell zu einem Labyrinth werden. Der Bahnhof hat 26 Bahnsteigkanten verteilt auf 3 Unterirdische Durchgangsbahnhöfe und einem oberirdischen Kopfbahnhof. Im Video laufe ich die Hauptrouten des Bahnhofs ab. Es sind etwa 2 Km die ich ablaufe.

Zürich Hauptbahnhof (often shortened to Zürich HB) (Zürich Main Station or Zürich Central Station) is the largest railway station in Switzerland. Zürich is a major railway hub, with services to and from across Switzerland and neighbouring European countries such as Germany, Italy, Austria and France. The station was originally constructed as the terminus of the Spanisch Brötli Bahn, the first railway built completely within Switzerland. Serving up to 2,915 trains per day, Zürich HB is one of the busiest railway stations in the world.
Due to its central location in Switzerland and in Europe, the station was quickly able to establish itself as an important railway junction. Most trains running through several European countries operated through Switzerland. In addition, a majority of Swiss mainline trains travelled to or from Zürich. For the clock-face timetable introduced to Switzerland in 1982, Zürich is the pacemaker. Delays and other disruptions at Zürich Hauptbahnhof sometimes affect the whole of Switzerland.
Long-distance trains meet in Zürich on the hour and half-hour, and thus connect with each other. In cases of delays, connecting trains wait a maximum of 3 minutes beyond the scheduled departure time, except for some international trains and the late night trains. S-Bahn services do not wait for late connecting trains, but the long-distance trains - contrary to popular opinion - usually wait for delayed S-Bahn trains (also for a maximum of 3 minutes).
The station can be found at the northern end of the Altstadt, or old town, in central Zürich, near the confluence of the rivers Limmat and Sihl. The station is on several levels, with platforms both at ground and below ground level, and tied together by underground passages and the ShopVille shopping mall. The Sihl passes through the station in a tunnel with railway tracks both above and below. The station's railway yards extend about 4 km (2.5 mi) to the west. Verkehrssimulationen − im deutschsprachigen Raum zum Beispiel VISSIM − sind insofern ein wichtiges Werkzeug zur Unterstützung der analytischen Modelle. Insbesondere sind die Bedingungen für den Übergang von unbehindertem Fluss zu Stop-and-Go-Verkehr, bzw. Stau interessant. Anwendungen finden Forschungsergebnisse in der sogenannten Telematik.

Im Schienenverkehr bezeichnet der Begriff die Ausnutzung der Verkehrswege durch den fahrenden Verkehr. Das bedeutet, der Verkehrsfluss nimmt durch höhere Geschwindigkeit erst einmal zu, kann aber etwa durch die dabei überproportional zunehmenden Abstände oder durch größere Geschwindigkeitsunterschiede und damit verbundene gegenseitige Behinderungen auch wieder abnehmen.
Einflussgrößen für die Optimierung des Verkehrsflusses sind:
Moderne Linienzugbeeinflussung und Hochgeschwindigkeitszugeinheiten verbunden mit besserer Trassierung auf Schnellfahrstrecken unter Auslassung von Kopfbahnhöfen.
Ausweitung der Zeitfenster in den Verkehrsknotenpunkten in den Ballungsgebieten.

In Städten wiederum besteht die Herausforderung der Verkehrsleitung in der richtigen Einrichtung der Taktzeiten der Ampelanlagen.
Systematische Phänomene – wenn etwa bei einer bestimmten Verkehrsdichte ein Stau aus dem Nichts entsteht, wie er im Nagel-Schreckenberg-Modell beschrieben wird.
Verkehrsplanung, welche die Verkehrsinfrastruktur entsprechend dem Bedarf aufzubauen und zu unterhalten hat, wobei auch Aspekte des Umweltschutzes berücksichtigt werden.
Maßnahmen für die Optimierung des Verkehrsflusses sind:

Reduzierung der im Konflikt stehenden Verkehrsrichtungen in einem Verkehrsknoten.

Bahnhofstrasse is the pride of modern Zurich, and counts as the one and only Boulevard of the city. It is famous for being one of the most exclusive and expensive shopping streets in the world. Here you can get anything from diamond rings to chocolate to fur coats. About 140 stores are located along it. A study In 2011 named the Bahnhofstrasse the most expensive commercial rent for retail property in Europe. We'll take you up and down the full length of Bahnhofstrasse on foot and in the tram.

Zürich’s Hauptbahnhof is the busiest train station in the world as measured by total number of daily trains, but the Hauptbahnhof is more than just a train station – it's like a small town in itself. There are many restaurants and bars and cafes and the lower level has got a vast shopping mall, and it is really popular because these stores are open at night and on Sundays when many of these stores in the city are closed. You'll find a whole variety of shops available here, not just travel items, luggage stores, but clothing stores and sundries, there is the sandwich shops, there is the stationary places, all kinds of ways to spend your money. If you're here towards the end of September you might get lucky and run into the Oktoberfest celebration. These are Swiss, they also like their beer and their lederhosen and their sausages, very similar to Munich in southern Germany in Bavaria. It's Oktoberfest time with some great Swiss beer, there's some music in the air, and a lot of fun. Everybody is very friendly here and the whole station turns into one big party scene.
There are nearly 300 hotels in Zürich so you have a wide range of choice from the cheapest hostel up to a five-star deluxe hotel like the hotels Savoy Bauer en Ville. It's right on Paradeplatz and Bahnhofstrasse – a very refined and expensive place to stay, with prices generally above €500. Perhaps four-star luxury is more suitable for you and definitely less expensive. We enjoyed the St. Gotthard Hotel. It's right on the Bahnhofstrasse just one block from the train station, making access about the best in town.
For visitors who have any interest whatsoever in art, it's worth walking a few blocks to the south edge of the old town to visit Zürich's art museum, the Kunsthaus Zürich.
Behind the train station the country's largest museum occupies a huge neo-Gothic castle built a century ago and houses a grand display of Swiss history illustrating the full length of human culture from the Stone Age up through the 1940s.

How to get to town from Zurich Airport by train
This video shows you how to go to the city centre from Zurich Airport. The airport is served by frequent train services by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS), the tickets of which can be bought as soon as you reach the baggage reclaim hall. A single Second Class train ticket costs only CHF 6.80. Simply go straight on when you enter the Arrival Hall and you will reach the Airport Centre, where the train station can be found in the basement.
There are no ticket gates in the station, but there will be inspectors on the train, so be sure to have a ticket with you. Before boarding, you should validate your ticket by folding it once and sticking it into the orange machines in the platforms. Double decker trains are used, and will arrive at the Zurich HB (Hauptbahnhof, Main Station) in around 10 minutes. This has got to be the fastest and most cost effective way to get into town at an expensive city like Zurich.

Zürich Hauptbahnhof (kurz Zürich HB, bis 1893 Bahnhof Zürich) in Zürich ist der grösste Bahnhof der Schweiz. Er ist ein Bahnknotenpunkt für Züge aus dem Inland und den angrenzenden Ländern Deutschland, Italien, Österreich und Frankreich. Mit seinen mehr als 2915 Zugfahrten pro Tag gilt er als einer der meistfrequentierten Bahnhöfe der Welt. Den Hauptbahnhof Zürich benutzen täglich etwa 437'000 Passagiere. Als Endpunkt der ersten Schweizer Bahnlinie, der Spanisch-Brötli-Bahn, gehört der Zürcher Hauptbahnhof zu den ältesten Schweizer Bahnhöfen.
Das Bahnhofsgebäude liegt im Zürcher Kreis 1 vor der Altstadt, nahe der Mündung der Sihl in die Limmat und gegenüber dem Schweizerischen Landesmuseum. Die Sihl verläuft unter den Gleisanlagen mit den Bahnsteigen des Hauptbahnhofes und wird mit nebeneinander liegenden Brücken überquert. Die Gleisanlagen erstrecken sich mit einer Länge von etwa vier Kilometern in westlicher Richtung.
Zürich Hauptbahnhof ist im Wesentlichen ein Kopfbahnhof. Neben vier durchgehenden unterirdischen Perrongleisen für die Linien der S-Bahn Zürich im Bahnhofsteil Museumstrasse, besteht seit Juni 2014 der zweite unterirdische Bahnhofsteil Löwenstrasse mit weiteren vier durchgehenden Perrongleisen. Dieser wird ab Dezember 2015 auch einen Teil des nationalen Fernverkehrs aufnehmen.
