In 2012, HSBC named Aberdeen as a leading business hub and one of eight 'super cities' spearheading the UK's economy, marking it as the only city in Scotland to receive this accolade.

National Express operate express coach services to London twice daily.

THE sun was shining as hundreds of people took to the paths around Aberdeen's Hazlehead Park to raise cash for this year's Big Fun Run. The route took runners from the playing fields into the forested area of the Aberdeen park and around the golf course.

I took a trip to the Duthie Park to see what changes had been made since I was last there. It was quite a cold day, so I popped in to the winter gardens for a while to defrost. There's a lot there and it's well worth a visit... :-)

The David Welch Winter Gardens at Duthie Park in Aberdeen are one of Europe's largest indoor gardens and Scotland's third most visited gardens.
It boasts a beautiful floral paradise all year round with many rare and exotic plants on show from all around the world.
Inside, you'll find the Temperate House, Corridor of Perfumes, Fern House, Victorian Corridor, Japanese Garden, Tropical House and Arid House, which has one of the largest collections of Cacti and Succulents in Britain.
RAF Lossiemouth Pipes & Drums competing in Grade 4A bands at Aberdeen Highland Games in 2019
The Royal Air Force (RAF) Lossiemouth Thales UK pipe band, competing in Grade 4A bands during the 2019 Aberdeen Highland Games held in Hazelhead Park, Aberdeen on June 16th. The band are led by Pipe Major Barry Ashby and they wear RAF tartan. The band were awarded 2nd place in grade 4A bands for this performance.

What a great night it was, bouncing about to some of the best UK hardcore ever made, only thing that spolied it was the fire alarm going off half way, resulting in an evacuation for about 30 mins. The roof, the roof, the roof was on fire!!

Hazlehead Park is a public park in the Hazlehead area of Aberdeen, Scotland. 180 hectares in size, it was opened to the public in 1920, having formerly been the estate of Hazlehead House, home of William Rose, shipbuilder. It is heavily wooded and contains many walking tracks.
There are football pitches, two golf courses, a pitch and putt course and a horse-riding school. The park has a significant collection of sculpture by a range of artists, including the memorial to those who died in the Piper Alpha disaster. It also has heritage items which have been rescued from various places within the city, and it features Scotland's oldest maze, first planted in 1935. The park cafe is a great spot for a bit of lunch or just to grab a hot drink while your there. #SubscribeToTheOutdoors
