Island Park is a city in Fremont County, Idaho, United States. The city's population was 286 at the 2010 census, up from 215 in 2000. The city was incorporated by owners of the many lodges and resorts along U.S. Route 20 in 1947, primarily to circumvent Idaho's liquor laws that prohibited the sale of liquor outside of city limits. It is only 500 feet (150 m) wide in most locations and, at 33 miles (53 km), claims to have the longest Main Street in the world.
Island Park is part of the Rexburg Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Hell's Gate State Park - Idaho

Yoly and I head south east from Richland, WA. to Lewiston, ID. and spend the night at Hell's Gate State Park. The park sits alongside the Snake River and accomodates fishing and boating with a nice launch ramp. Like most state parks with full hook ups, the cost is pretty high especially in Idaho and especially if you are a non-resident. The additional fees they tack on for out of state visitors is enough to keep me from spending anymore of my tourist dollars in the state. So long Idaho, it's been fun but I can't afford you.

Road to Hell.... Big Bar Campground Hells Canyon in Idaho
We videoed the drive from Cambridge Idaho down into the Hells Canyon where we camped at Big Bar for a few nights in April. I intended to cut the video down, but could not find any parts of the video that I felt would be good to cut. The first part of the video was a filmed in time laps using our sports cam Activeon Gold CX. Once we made it to the reservoir we started filming at regular speed and then sped the video up using our editing software Pinnacle Studio 21. Hope you enjoy the Video please like and share.

Harriman State Park: Tricos and Tricky Trout
The Railroad Ranch: one of the most difficult stretches of trout water in the United States. Small dries, light tippet, and long leaders are the most effective way of catching large rainbows here on the Henry's Fork. With so many bugs and countless food items available for these fish, it is hard to imagine a large rainbow would go out of its way to eat a fake morsel presented amongst all the other treats. Catching just one fish here on a given day is an accomplishment, with many of these trout being quite large. Watch as we undertake some of the most selective trout in the lower 48.

Fort Laramie wurde erheblich erweitert, es entstanden mehrere große Gebäude, die rund um einen großen Appellplatz angeordnet wurden. Heute gehört Fort Laramie zum 1916 gegründeten National Park Service der Vereinigten Staaten. Viele Gebäude wurden wieder hergestellt, aufwendig rekonstruiert und bis ins Detail mit Gegenständen aus der damaligen Zeit ausgestattet.
Fort Laramie is a former trading post and later army fort at the confluence of the Laramie River and the North Platte River in southeastern Wyoming near the town of Fort Laramie. Main task of the army post was to protect immigrants and settlers, who were traveling here on the Oregon Trail or California Trail, from encroachments of the Indians. Fort Laramie was significantly expanded, it created several large buildings, which were arranged around a large mustering area. Today, Fort Laramie belongs to the 1916 founded National Park Service of the United States. Many buildings were restored, elaborately reconstructed and furnished in detail with objects from the time.
