1957 CLW built YP 2618 'JOYMATI' - Indian MG Steam Loco preserved at Heritage Railway Park, Tinsukia
Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel:
A short film made on YP 2618 'JOYMATI'.
The YP 2618 'JOYMATI' is a Meter Gauge (1 m ) Steam Locomotive built by Chittaranjan Locomotives Works (CLW), Chittaranjan, West Bengal in 1957. The locomotive started its regular service from 15th July 1957, serving the Lumding and Tinsukia divisions of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). The locomotive hauled the last train on 21st January, 1997 from Ledo to Tinsukia. The locomotive hauled several prestigious trains during its service tenure like Assam Mail, Kamrup Express, Tinsukia Mail etc. on the Lumding - Tinsukia MG section of NFR.
Now, the locomotive is preserved in the HERITAGE RAILWAY PARK, Tinsukia, Assam. A very praise worthy step by the Tinsukia Division and NFR.
Since, it is a YP class passenger variant steam locomotive, so it has 2-6-2 wheel configuration. As per the display of the locomotive and the maker's plate on the side of the driver's cabin; the locomotive was built by CLW in 1957. However, on a close inspection it was found that the boiler was made by Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company, India (TELCO) in 1964, and also YG XXX.....XX (some digits) are written just above the fire door. So, it seems the locomotive had a boiler change during its service time.

Jaipur is Rajasthan's biggest city and its capital. It is known as the Pink City due to the distinct color of its buildings. The 'pink' of the Pink City is Gerua (or ochre) in which the city was coated during the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1905-06.
The city is surrounded by hills and dotted with forts. Houses with pink latticed windows line the streets, and look almost magical at sunset
Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amer after whom the city is named.

Jodhpur - Rajasthan - India - UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Jodhpur is the 2nd largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located 335 kilometres (208 mi) west of the state capital, Jaipur and 200 kilometres (124 mi) from the city of Ajmer. It was formerly the seat of a princely state of the same name, the capital of the kingdom known as Marwar. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar desert.
The city is known as the Sun City for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the Blue City due to the vivid blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. The old city circles the fort and is bounded by a wall with several gates. However, the city has expanded greatly outside the wall over the past several decades. Jodhpur lies near the geographic centre of Rajasthan state, which makes it a convenient base for travel in a region much frequented by tourists.

Delhi to Kanyakumari | Munnar to Ooty Road Trip | Adiyogi Statue | Incredible India | Tour de India
If you want to enjoy the roads thoroughly and have to cover big distance in a day then you should wake up early and start early that is what we do. We took Munnar-Udumalpet Road towards Coimbatore then NH181 from Adiyogi Statue to Ooty. 4:30PM reach at Adiyogi Shiva Statue. Must visit place. The statue looks so calm and peaceful. Spent few time there just looking at the statue. After 30 minutes we left for Ooty. It was dark already when we started to climb the mountains. It is cold out here. Reached at the hotel around 9:00PM. All single highway but good, safe and beautiful roads.
Being a big Shiva fan, I saw this statue 4 years back somewhere on Internet and since then I wanted to be there and finally dream comes true here I am. Left from Munnar but made few more friends and such a good place (The Wayside Cottage). Aditya who runs this cottage is so nice and very kind fella. Met a solo traveler from U.K. ???????? She is so sweet and good personality. So funny and talkative. One boy with his girlfriend from France ???????? Very good people. Another boy from Kochi ???????? and he is so funny we laughed a lot. Another girl from U.S. ???????? who is working in India ???????? and living in Jaipur, Rajasthan. She is so beautiful and very smart. I liked her, good girl. So yeah! Made more memories and friends.

Drive from Bala Qila to Alwar city : Rajasthan
Road trip from Bala Qila to Alwar City in Rajasthan, India.
Alwar is a city and administrative headquarters of Alwar District in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located around 160 km south of Delhi, and about 150 km north of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Alwar is part of National Capital Region (NCR). India's highest ever recorded temperature of 50.6 °C was measured at Alwar on 10 May 1956.
Alwar was formerly the capital of the princely state of Alwar. It was formerly spelt as Ulwar in British India. This placed it in last position in alphabetically ordered lists, so a king changed the spelling to Alwar to bring it to the top.
Alwar contains many interesting and historical monuments. The city has a beautiful lake and a picturesque valley. The Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in the Aravali hills only a few kilometres away from Alwar. The sanctuary, which is a Project Tiger reserve, also boasts of many other species, including rare birds and plants. The military cantonment of Itarana lies on the outskirts of Alwar. Hill Fort Kesroli now a heritage hotel is also near by. Raj Rishi College has existed in Alwar for over a hundred years.
Bala Quila is perched on a 300 meter high steep cliff that lends a majestic view of Alwar. Standing tall since 16th century and looking after Alwar even before the Mughals arrived, the fort is the most notable symbol of the Alwar city. It is said that Emperor Jahangir stayed in this Bala Quila when his father, the great emperor Ashok banished him. The place where Emperor Jahangir stayed in Bala Quila is known as Salim Mahal. Later, in the year 1775, Bala Quila was taken by Pratap Singh, the founder of Alwar state. This huge fort once upon a time had tight security which one can witness with its 15 large and 51 small towers perched on top of the fort.
The fort extends for about 5 km from north to south and 1.6 km from east to west. The fort has six gates, namely, Jai Pol, Suraj Pol, Laxman Pol, Chand Pol, Krishen Pol and Andheri Gate which tells us the story of valor and chivalry of Rajputs. Bala Quila walls are decorated with finely crafted with ancient scriptures and sculptures that would take you back to those golden times. It is a testimonial of Indo-Islamic architecture.
The fort also has Jai Mahal, Nikumbh Mahal, Salim Sagar Pond, Suraj Kund and many temples which even today reflect the grandeur of the bygone era. One can see the splendid view of the city from the watch towers of Bala Quila. One also needs to take the permission of Superintendent of Police, Alwar to visit the fort.
Surrounded by Aravalli Hills, Bala Quila gives a picturesque view and weaves the story of forgotten times. So pack your bags and travel back 1100 years to unfold the lost history.
