The mixture of youthful optimism and creativity, together with the city’s good old-fashioned cosiness, create a unique atmosphere making a visit to Aarhus a pleasant and uplifting experience.

Blacks and Eastern Europeans not wanted in Aarhus.
Night clubs and bars across Aarhus (and Copenhagen) are kicking out tourists, and students. These policies seem to be based purely on your ethnicity, if you can show your Danish I.D or prove Danish ethnicity you can get in. However, if you come from Eastern Europe, Central Europe or Africa, it is quite possible that you will be kicked out or prevented from entering the establishment.
Here are a list of businesses in Aarhus that have either kicked out, or prevented people from entering simply for the fact that they weren't born in Denmark. Please add more establishments in the comments section.
- Bodegaen
- Vinstuen
- The Australian Bar Aarhus
- Skru Ned
- Kurts Mor
- Herr Bartels
- BridgeWater Pub, Aarhus.
Boycotte these establishments, complain to the managers, write complaints on the businesses respective facebook pages if you are against this xenophobic behaviour.
