☞ About Heyri Art Valley
* Introduction
Korean artists of various field of work such as writers, painters, actors, architects and musicians constructed the cultural town of Heyri. Within this community, there are residences, workrooms, art galleries and museums. Artists make a living by opening exhibitions, trading or selling their artworks. Currently, there are about 40 museums, exhibitions, concert halls and bookstores, and around 30~40 more are expected to be added. About 10 cafes and food courts are included in these buildings for the convenience of visitors.
Heyri Art Valley was constructed to blend in with surrounding structures. The local construction regulations require all buildings to be no more than three stories tall. Just by glancing at these buildings you will admire their artistry since architects constructed each building with its own unique characteristics.
HAS III Art Gallery and the field of reeds by the central lake were filming locations for the romantic comedy, Everybody Has Secrets (2004) starring Lee Byung-hun & Choi Ji-woo.

안녕하세요 여러분!
We finally went to Provence Village! I've always wanted to come here and we finally made it.
We also intended to go to English Village and Hyeri Art Village but I saw some articles saying the former has already been closed down and museums/stores in Hyeri Art Village are closed on Mondays. We didn't want to risk it because both were quite a walk from Provence Village. We decided to go back to Seoul after. Also, so at least we still have a place to visit next time we are back in Seoul.
In all honesty, I am already running out of tourist-y places to go to in Seoul. But I love coming here still. Seoul will always have my soul.
Heyri Art Village in Paju, South Korea Pt. 1
This was the first video I took after being in Korea for almost 2 years! My girlfriend and I took a trip to the Heyri Art Village, in Paju, which is about 4 miles south (a five minute walk from Freedom Bridge) of the DMZ - yes, there is an art village this close to the border of North Korea . This is part one of the adventure.

Day trip to Heyri Art Village from Seoul
Leading up to my graduation, I found the long stretches of time made me feel caught between wanting to be more 'productive' and wanting to explore further out of Seoul with all this free time. I've been wanting to go to Heyri Art Village, a safe haven for creatives based in Paju. Just get up and go!

2019-03 , Heyri heads for the art village that communicates the culture with the variety genre in the one space. At first, this village was designed as ‘the book village' linked Paju Publishing Town in 1997. But in the processing of the project, lots of artists in various cultural fields joined it. And the concept of the village was expanded to 'cultural art village'.
