Things to do in Budapest, Hungary
In this travel video, our VERY FIRST INSTALLMENT of ALL OVER THE MAP, we look at Budapest, Hungary. Budapest is of a similar size to our home of Toronto, Canada, but we were unprepared for the beauty of the architecture and the reasonable prices that seemed to have disappeared in recent years from most other parts of Europe.
We quickly found that the best way to travel around Budapest was by bike. The MOL Bubi bike rental system was easy to use and virtually free if we could adhere to some pretty simple time restrictions.
We always try to check out local food when we travel and try to steer away from the more touristed restaurants. In Budapest we found a number of great options with various dumplings and stews that we were largely unfamiliar with.
The bathhouse was another aspect of Budapest that we had not experienced the like of in our previous travels. During our 4-day stay the bathhouse we visited proved to be one of the highlights.
Our time spent at the Lehel market was largely off-camera as we ran into some issues filming within the market building, however that didn't stop us from taking the goodies we found there back to our Airbnb and having a picnic on the balcony.
Finally, our time spent at St. Stephen's Basilica and the memorial titled 'The Shoes on the Danube' left us in a bit of a solemn state of mind, but isn't that what travelling is all about? Learning about the past, the present, different cultures and learning from that knowledge for the future.
We would go back to Budapest in a heartbeat and we hope that our video encourages you to visit Budapest.
We hope you enjoy our video. Please like and subscribe to follow along with our further adventures. Hopefully we can help you figure out where YOU would like to go next!
Save up. Pack up. Get out and explore!
We're Heather and Matt and we love to travel. We won't be giving you a history lesson or jumping off a cliff while a drone captures the footage, instead we'll try to share with you the experiences we have as we try to avoid tourist traps and make our own adventure.
We shoot our videos with a Canon Rebel t5i and a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens.

Pham Ngu Lao nightlife is also one of Ho Chi Minh’s finest, with throngs of street vendors, bia hoi stalls, lively bars, and downtown clubs filling up the lively scene. Interesting nightlife entertainment spots include The View Rooftop Bar, Seventeen Saloon, Go 2 and Crazy Buffalo Nightclub as well as many smaller pubs that are known for their cheap drinks and happy hour promos. It’s also common around here to meet friendly expats who are more than happy to share a few tips about travelling in and beyond Vietnam. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, we highly suggest getting up early and visit the parks within the area. It is interesting to see (and even to join in on) the elders participating in Tai Chi-like exercise sessions. Another must-do is heading to the morning markets such as Ben Tanh Market, where local vendors sell a wide array of fresh produce, household supplies, and Vietnamese street food at attractive prices. As Pham Ngu Lao is not such a large area, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot - the best time to do this is in the morning and late afternoon as the weather can be rather scorching at the height of the day. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also travel agencies that can help arrange for day trips within the city centre and beyond...

Frans Liszt, Liebestraum - Budapest Bicycle Tour (Alastor Lustrum 2008)
In this upload you see me recording a little tour on the bike through Budapest. Budapest is the Paris of the East. It's a very old and magic metropole. The pubs are open 24:00 hrs. and there are beautiful caves under the city. The place has everything you want: from Popfestivals like Sziget to Formule 1 racing and fantastic castles on mountains. Even thermal water and jugendstil bathhouses. Far out! Alastor from Utrecht (NL) celebrates his third Lustrum in Budapest. Bikes are easy to rent. Checkin' out fast this crazy diamond near the blaue Donau...

Exploring Switzerland means the Swiss Pass for many people and for others, renting a car in Switzerland could also be a choice to explore the beautiful country by road. In this video, I will show you both the options from an Indian tourist point of view. In this video, we will compare the Swiss rail pass and its benefits with the possibility of renting a car in Switzerland and taking the roads exploring it’s many beautiful towns and villages.
As an Indian vlogger and an Indian youtuber, I visited Switzerland on a budget trip and recorded my entire experience of a budget trip to Switzerland and even though I was a solo traveler to Switzerland and not many who go to Switzerland on a honeymoon or visit Switzerland with family, I still rented a car which came out to be cheaper than buying a Swiss Travel Pass.
I rented a car in Switzerland for Rs. 13,600 from Alamo car rental at Zurich airport and drove from Zurich to Geneva and on my way stopped at some of the prettiest cities and villages on my way.

Parking Information
Renting a car in Switzerland gave me full flexibility to explore the country at my own pace and then visit as many villages as I want. But that does not mean that I have not included full details about the Swiss Travel Pass. It is one of the best ways to explore Switzerland by train and enjoy its truly beautiful scenic views and use more than 500 free entries to museums all over Switzerland. Full details on the cost of the Swiss pass are included in the video.
In this video, I will discuss and show the following in great detail.
1) Renting a car in Switzerland
2) Parking in Switzerland.
3) Exploring Switzerland on a budget.
4) How to plan a Switzerland road trip.
5) How to use the Swiss rail pass.
6) How to use the Swiss Travel Pass.
7) How expensive is Switzerland?
8) Right-hand drive in Switzerland.
Basically, this video discusses how an Indian traveler can explore Switzerland on a tight budget without missing out on any of the tour essentials
Planning to Explore Switzerland and want to know the cheapest and most budget-friendly ways to explore the beautiful country. Check out this Switzerland Vlog that shows maximum details about visiting Switzerland from India.
Many people plan expensive tour packages to Switzerland or check Switzerland Tour Packages. But they do not realize that making your own Switzerland Trip from India can be budget Friendly.

GOING ON A SCOOTER ROAD TRIP AROUND BALI!!! | Bali Road Trip Day 1 | TRAVEL VLOG #7
We are going on a scooter road trip around Bali, and I'm filming everything and taking you guys with us :)
Day 1 was such a beautiful day! We woke up and decided to leave a few days early on our road trip, so we packed up in a hurry and then everything went wrong and we almost didn't go. But we did, and we had the most awesome day driving from Canggu and North to the
Jatiluwih rice terraces, Lake Beratan and Lake Bunyan, before we finally made it to our homestay for the night, in the middle of the mountains!

Hi there! I'm Anne-Li – Danish girl, globetrotter, travel vlogger, blogger and digital nomad traveling the world with my partner in crime and long-term boyfriend Mathias. Spending a month in Budapest every summer taught us that traveling does not have to be expensive and that slow travel is the way to go – for us.
We have been traveling full-time since September 2016, and we usually base ourselves in one place for at least a month or two. This way of traveling is not only budget friendly – it also means that we can take our time and really explore and enjoy the place we're in. We eat local food, shop at local markets, meet local people and enjoy experiencing different cultures – all the while seeking out the best wifi and exploring everything there is to explore. Everyday is another adventure, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Let's go!

(A lot of) things to do in Budapest
A short video of my citytrip to Budapest from 12-17 July 2018.
Day 1:
When we arrived, we had a free walking tour. They offered a lot of walking tours but we followed the street & urban art tour. You immediately get a good sense of the city. For more information about the tours:
360 rooftop bar is an amazing place to have a drink or a lovely meal, enjoy the sun and the ambiance but mostly to enjoy the amazing view.
Our first day ended at the Széchenyi chain bridge. Go there during sunset, it's very pretty. It's a nice place to just hang around. A lot of people meet there during night time while enjoying a bottle of wine.
Day 2:
On our second day we went to visit Buda. First we climbed the mountains to the citadel. The citadel offers the most amazing view of Budapest, it's worth the climb.
From the citadel we walked down to the Buda castle. The Buda castle is a nice building. You can also visit some museums in the castle, which we didn't do so I can't tell you anything about that ;)
After the Buda castle we went to visit Matthias church and Fisherman's bastion. Amazing buildings and nearby you can find a lot of places to eat or drink. Note that the Fisherman's bastion also has stunning views over the city.
From the Matthias church it's only 5 minutes walking to the Magdalena tower. I recommend going there, it's a nice tower and close to the big tourist attractions.
This day we also visited Labirintus, where we had a very weird and scary experience but it is a great place to cool down when it is 30 degrees outside ;).
At the House of Houdini we had another strange experience because the museum was just so small and the magic show so awkward but over all it was still nice.
We ended our day having a drink at Pontoon which is next to the the Széchenyi chain bridge (if you go to Budapest, you have to have a drink at Pontoon for sure!) and we had dinner at Akvarium club which is just a really cool and modern place.
Day 3:
Today we went to visit the Széchenyi thermal baths. The blue water, yellow buildings and red flowers were just so amazing. The water was up to 40 degrees and inside there were different saunas, it was just really nice and relaxing.
Pop up park Budapest is another place to relax and just sit and enjoy the (once again modern) city. It even has electrical outlets so you can charge your phone whilst hanging around.
That night we had dinner was at Mazel Tov. A restaurant full of ambiance! An amazing restaurant with affordable prices. And on top of that: amazing food.
Day 4:
Margaret Island is a perfect place to escape the busy (and hot) city. You can walk around the island in 1,5 hours or rent a bicycle.
When you are in Budapest you just have to visit the Parliament, an amazing building. I recommend booking a tour so you can visit it from inside. It's not costly at all but you have to book your tickets at home/ online. Otherwise they can be sold out (like with us...).
Close to the Parliament you find the 'shoes on the Danube'. Very impressive to see, so you should go there as well.
At the end of our day we went supping on the Danube. It was so cool to do something different and the sunset was beautiful. If you stay in Budapest a little longer than 3 days, you should go supping too. Even if you have never paddleboarded before, it's worth the try. David is a good teacher and you don't want to miss this experience.
After 2 hours of supping we were very hungry and went to Karaván. It is a small food truck festival with a lot of fun people and great appetizers.
Day 5:
We started our day visiting St. Stephen's basilica. The basilica has good architectures and the entrance is only 200 huf (60 eurocents) so it’s a win-win.
There is no better way to get all your souvenirs (for affordable prices) and have (once again) some great food than at the great market hall.
If you love animals you have to visit the zoo-café, if you don’t, then don't. They have a lot of animals walking around at the café and you can pet all of them. For example they had a lot (!) of kittens, toucans, bunnies. They even had reptiles like different species of snakes and a chameleon.
Hungarian food is not necessarily the most charming food but when you are in Hungary, to my opinion, you have to try it. We went to restaurant 'Bob’. They have a nice painted wall with all the typical Hungarian dishes which was really nice.
Budapest is a nice city to go out and we went to Sizmpla Kert (just a lovely place) and Instant & Fogas (same club, different names). Instant is a nice club to dance all night and you can even get some free glitter.
Day 6:
Our trip ended with a visit to the House of Terror which was impressive. It teaches and shows you a lot about the second world war and the Soviet era. If you are interested in this you should visit this museum, it is really touching.

Life Living in Budapest, Hungary
Some thoughts on life living in Budapest, Hungary while having a wander around the city on my bicycle. It's a city that I would return back to and think it's a perfect place to live as a remote worker with the high-speed internet, cafe culture and there's a lot to see and do.
