High Noon Sportfishing
Marty Newton 644 Blue Marlin
Leo catches 500 Pound Blue Marlin!
Leo Osoteo and his family boarded the HighNoon for an afternoon charter. Kona fishing was on Leo's bucket list top five. Within the first two hours the long corner came flying out of the rigger and line was peeling off the reel. We all scrambled to the deck as the massive Blue Marlin went soaring out of the water. After some master maneuvering by captain Trevor, Leo managed to bring in the monster. Successful day on the beautiful waters of Kailua Kona.

Jill Gatto from Washington State releases 280 lb Blue Marlin
Jill and Mark Gatto booked HighNoon for a afternoon half day charter. It was a last minute charter after seeing how calm the water was in Kona. For 3 hours, nothing but a nice relaxing boat ride. The craziness began when a nice Blue Marlin slammed the short rigger lure called Red Eye. Jill jumped in the chair, strapped into the rod and started her battle. Within minutes she had the fish at the back of the boat ready for a clean and successful release. Congratulations to Jill and Mark for an exciting afternoon of fishing in Kona, Hawaii.
Brent and Vickie catch Spearfish.
Brent and Vickie from Texas booked HighNoon for twenty hours in search for a big Blue Marlin. One the first day we had a nice 500+ eat our long corner and started jumping like crazy. Unfortunately as Brent was strapping in the fish came off. Yesterday we had two mystery bites. Then after a long two days managed to hook a Shortnosed Spearfish. It's not quite a Blue Marlin, but at least we didn't get skunked. Thanks again Brent and Vickie, we will get that big girl next time, have fun on the helicopter tour.
13 Mahi 2 Ahi
Lance and his two buddies booked HighNoon for a full day charter. We headed south in hopes for some buoy action. When we arrived it was a bunch of small stuff. Then we got a call about a floater so we caught a few bait fish and jammed over to where it was. It quickly turned into a blood bath with thirteen Mahi and two ahi. Great Sunday on the water with lots of action and calm water.

Laurie Krause Catches a Wahoo (Ono)
Laurie and the gang From Minnesota booked High Noon for a 3/4 day. Started out fishing for Wahoo, and got lucky with a nice Ono for the BBQ. We then headed out to the deep waters to try our luck with some big game. Spotted large school of Pilot Whales. On our Way back in we stopped outside the harbor so the charter could jump off the tower. Over all it was a beautifully great day on the water.
451 pound Blue Marlin for Tom Corley from Colorado
Tom Corley, his son Alex and their friends Nat and Nick booked High Noon today for a full day fishing adventure. All being from Colorado, these guys don't get to see many marlin swimming down their trout streams. Tom had fished before but had never caught a marlin like he wanted to. We left the harbor at 6:15 and set up before all the tournament boats got to the area where we wanted to fish. 20 minutes out of the harbor a big blue comes up in our short bait and takes a huge swipe but misses, he wasn't gonna let that lure get away a second time and inhaled it on the second pass and was off to the races. With quick maneuvering between the captain and crew we managed to get the fish to the boat quick and secure her. Big hoots and hollers and high fives all around for a great catch. Good job team!
Joe and Peggy both catch a Striped Marlin
Joe and Peggy Exendine from Juneau Alaska joined us on the HighNoon for a full day fishing adventure. About a week ago we took them and two of their friends fishing, and caught a few nice tunas. Today it was just Joe and Peggy. After fishing for Ono's for a few hours without a bite we decided to take out chances in the deep. Sure enough an hour after switching out the lures we were on, not one fish but two, we had double Striped marlins on. Peggy got in the chair and started working her fish to the boat. The other fish hit our stinger, a standup 30. Joe held onto that rod while we got a few pictures of Peggy's fish. Once the fish was released we then worked on getting Joe his fish. After some great angling the fish was at the boat where it gave us a nice show. After a few pictures we released it to swim another day. Awesome successful day on the water thanks Joe and Peggy. You will definitely enjoy those mounts. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Hawaii. Hopefully we can get you guys in a tournament next year.

Family from Orange County catch two Tunas.
Ron Griffiths and family booked HighNoon yesterday for a half day morning charter. After catching about fifteen Opelu for bait we trolled over to a buoy. We lucked out with two perfect Tunas. They are staying at the Marriott, and don't have anywhere to cook their catch. So they will be making a reservation at our buddy's restaurant, Three Fat Pigs. Thanks for the fun trip, enjoy the rest of your stay, and hope to see you next year.
Jimmy Bager from New Jersey releases Blue Marlin July 28th.
Jimmy Bager and his new wife, Kerry, from New Jersey chartered HighNoon today. This great couple were on their honeymoon and staying at the Fairmont Orchid hotel...one of the nicest places for a honeymoon in the entire world. A nice 150 lb. Blue Marlin grabbed the short rigger lure and Jimmy did a great job of fighting this fish to the boat where it was released to fight another time. Good job..and best wishes to the newlyweds. Hope your time on HighNoon is part of a magical beginning for you both!
