Vietnamese Returning Home: VIETNAM DAY TRIPS: a Kyle Le Travel Vlog
a Kyle Le Travel Vlog
Vietnamese Abroad aka Viet Kieu are coming back to Vietnam more and more these days. And on this day, my friends representing six other countries got together to visit Long Khanh's Chua Chan Gia Lao Mountain, which is off tourist radars. We visited during a religious holy time so thousands of locals were also there praying to Buddha.
Afterwards we stumbled upon a local restaurant called Ong Gia and had this incredible dried fish salad with rice crackers and tamarind fish sauce followed by a local chicken. It was a great day!

Road trip: Hoi An to Kontum along the Ho Chi Minh Trail
The Ho Chi Minh Trail was the supply line to Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops fighting US-backed South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These days it's a major highway - the Ho Chi Minh Highway. I just travelled from Hoi An to Kontum along the route, crossing mountain passes and waterfalls. We also visited the former US base at Dat To - scene of major battles during the war.
Hội An Ancient Town, Vietnam in 4K Ultra HD
The Old Town of Hội An, Vietnam is an atmospheric historic town, major trading port in the past, with Chinese, Japanese and European influences. Inscribed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. (Quote from whc.unesco.org/en/list/948)
Also in the video - the nearby ruins of the Mỹ Sơn sanctuary - another UNESCO World Heritage site - religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom, built between the 4th and 13th centuries.
Recorded April 2018 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX100.

10 Best Places to Visit in Vietnam - Travel Video
A long, narrow country squeezed in between the South China Sea and the Laos and Cambodia borders, Vietnam is a land of striking landscapes. Ranging from the lush rice terraces and forested mountains in the north to the picturesque valleys of the Central Highlands and the fertile delta and beautiful beaches of the south. Included in the mix are booming cities, colonial towns, traditional villages and otherworldly islands. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Vietnam.
The Best Vietnamese Food in Hoi An, Vietnam. HANDS DOWN
Vietnamese food in Central Vietnam is simply the best. Hoi An isn't known for it's culinary excellence compared to Da Nang or Hue, but there are a few amazing eateries and food you can try. This happened to be my favorite place because I've eaten here twice and each time within a six month period, it has been very consistent. The dishes I ate included shredded chicken rice, cao lau noodles, tiny clams called hen, banh vac, and banh dap.
Everything is such a speciality and localized to Hoi An. Great Meal.
I really recommend you visiting this place located at
05 Nguyen Hoang, which is that street that sells a bunch of lanterns on the other side of Hoi An across from the Japanese Bridge.

Vietnam Tailored CLOTHES - OUR EXPERIENCE IN HOI AN
Everyone traveling to Vietnam and especially to Hoi An should consider getting a custom tailored outfit, such as an ao dai or a traditional Vietnamese woman's dress. These dresses are popular throughout the country because they really emphasize a woman's beauty. People wear them for special occasions like holidays and ceremonies or some even wear them to school. In Hoi An, Ngoc wanted to have one custom made and later sent to her (we were only in Hoi An for one night). This modern twist with extra high quality fabric compared to a typical one was over 200 US dollars. Remember, you get what you paid for.
In Hoi An, you can also get shoes and suits made too for fairly cheap, but the quality and style are both....

Vietnam Tour - CAN THO Amazing Travel Experience
I travel to Can Tho City to experience the floating market and a tourist resort called My Khanh. Many people argue that the Can Tho Floating Market is extremely touristy. It sure is, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're in South Vietnam. You can actually leave Saigon in the middle of the night and get there by 5 AM to board a boat. You can return to Saigon around noon and make it back by night fall. My favorite thing to do in Can Tho is to eat food offered by hawkers and boat vendors. You can expect pretty much almost every kind of Vietnamese food on the river.

HOI AN is Not What One Can Think Of (Vietnam Vlog)
Be aware that this is simply MY OPINION about the town of Hoi An, I always pictured it like a chilled and relaxing place but what I found was pretty different.
VIETNAM travel - beautiful Hoi An Ancient Town at Night
Welcome to Hoi An. This UNESCO World Heritage area is one of my favorite places to visit in all of Vietnam. I've been here a total of four times now, and each time it was special. On this particular night I was in Central Vietnam by myself. Yes, some might argue that Hoi An is touristy, but I think it's touristy because it deserves to be. This is also the first and probably the last SoJournaling Vietnam video shot in 24 frames per second.

Visit to Vietnam: Dalat
In the spring of 2011 I went to Vietnam after graduating. My next stop after Saigon was the mountain town of Dalat. Positioned at about 4,800 feet, the climate is dry and temperate -- colder than I was expecting in fact. It is one of the major tourist towns in Vietnam, particularly with Vietnamese tourists. I took a day tour to see a coffee plantation, a silk factory, a waterfall, and I visited the village of a mountain tribe.
Like so much of Vietnam, Dalat was a place that had things I didn't expect to see in Vietnam, and warrants a second visit in the future.

Help me keep making videos:
Today my friends and I take part in the best Mekong Delta day tour from Saigon ever. Khoi and his team have put together an incredible and authentic tour that is unlike all of those other touristy cookie cutter tours you find in the backpacker area. The real Vietnam exists, people just need to know where to look.
is a great company for your tour needs from Saigon to the Mekong Delta as well as all over Vietnam and Cambodia. Write Khoi and tell him Kyle sent you! Limited space available too because of his company philosophy of keeping business small in order to not impact the Mekong Delta and turn it into something too touristy.

VIETNAM’S LARGEST MARKET - Ben Thanh Market Ho Chi Minh City - Cheap Shopping in Vietnam
We visited Vietnam’s largest market, the Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City! This is where you can find the best cheap shopping in Vietnam. Think fake bags, cheap clothing, Vietnamese food, and incredible souvenirs all located within the Bến Thành Market. We show you the day market and the night market in Vietnam so you can make the best decision of which to visit.
The Ben Thanh Market in Saigon is the one of the largest and oldest Vietnam Markets. With over 3,000 vendors, Bến Thành is one of the best things to do in Saigon. You can find some of the best cheap shopping in Vietnam here all for incredible prices. The quality of the goods in this market are great and haggling is a must while you’re here! If you want to relax and avoid the bargaining, you can stay to the fixed pricing sections along the outer walls of Ben Thanh.
As far as a fake market in Vietnam is concerned, I would say you can find the highest quality knockoff goods here for the best prices. There are many markets in Saigon, but Ben Thanh is the biggest and most centrally located out of all. It is also the market that is most geared towards tourists so make sure you bring your best bargaining skills.
Vietnams largest market, also referred to as Cho Ben Thanh, is located in district 1 Ho Chi Minh city. You can find everything you need in district 1 including food, drinks, Vietnamese culture and more. After visiting Ben Thanh Market, you might want to hang around district 1 Saigon and wait for the Ben Thanh night market to kick off around 8pm.
Cho Ben Thanh is easily the top night market in Vietnam, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City. We enjoyed the night market in Saigon a little bit better than the day market because there was space to move around. However, both markets sell very similar items. If you’re looking for things to do in Saigon, we highly recommend both the Ben Thanh Market and the Ben Thanh Night Market.
We have uploaded Vietnamese subtitles to this travel vlog for any of you who would like to read in Vietnamese. We hope to hear from you guys in the comments and thanks for watching our first Vietnam travel vlog!
