Ubud | Bali Vlog || We Hired THE BEST Driver
Come with us on our day trip in Bali! When staying in Bali in January this year, we decided to hire a driver for the day to take us to Ubud and see some of the local sights. We found Nyoman Wage through tripadvisor and spent an extremely awesome day getting to know a little bit more of Bali. Nyoman spoke great English, was kind and courteous, trustworthy and funny. He even taught us some Balinese! In this video you can see some of the places we stopped, including: Batuan Temple, A Barong & Keris dance, Tohpati Village, Lumbung House of Coffee, Ubud Monkey Forest and much more!

UBUD ART MARKET - PASAR SENI UBUD,BALI
Ubud Traditional Art Market – Location, Things To Buy & Shopping Tips.
Even though you can find many shopping malls in Bali especially in the southern part of Bali island, the traditional market remains available in Bali. The existence of traditional market stays in touch in Bali. Due to most local area prefer to buy their daily need to a traditional market. Bali traditional art market has its unique value. Also, you can visit it as one of the exciting places to visit while on holiday in Bali. There is two traditional art market that so famous among tourists in Bali and their area: Ubud Traditional Art Market & Sukawati art market.
The uniqueness of the traditional art market in Bali is different from other countries and other regions in Indonesia. These create many foreign tourists and domestic tourists interested in visiting the traditional art market while on holiday in Bali.
Almost all the traditional art market in Bali sells merchandise that is no much difference from one another. Merchandise available in the traditional art market such as T-shirts with Balinese barong, Balinese silver rings and silver necklaces, beach clothes, Balinese snacks, paintings and sculptures with Balinese carvings. Therefore, if you are looking for cheap clothes shopping in Ubud, the best place to buy is at Ubud central market.
One of the famous attractions in Bali which has a traditional art market in Ubud. The traditional art market in Ubud known as Pasar Seni Tradisional Ubud, the English language means Traditional Art Market Ubud. Due to the uniqueness of the traditional art market in Ubud, one of the Hollywood movies, called Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts, takes the shooting set in the Ubud traditional art market.
Ubud Traditional Art Market Location
To find Ubud art market location is effortless because the position is in the center of Ubud. The address of Ubud art market located at Jalan Raya Ubud No.35 – Ubud, Bali. The location of the traditional art market in Ubud Ubud is very strategic. Located in front of the Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Ubud). Also, Ubud’s traditional art market is also adjacent to Ubud’s famous tourist attractions such as:
Monkey Forest Ubud.
Saraswati Temple.
Goa Gajah Temple.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace Ubud.
If you depart from Kuta Bali heading to Ubud art market, then you will require travel time approximately 1 hour 30 minutes with a distance of 32 kilometers.
The Best Way To Visit Ubud Art Market
Due to the limitation of the parking lot in the Ubud art market especially during the day. Therefore, if you stay in one of the hotels in the Ubud area, you should use a taxi meter when visiting the traditional art market. If you do not stay at in Ubud area, driving your car without taking a private driver, will make you have to find a parking lot located far away with the Ubud traditional art market location. Therefore, we suggest you get a car rental service with driver in Bali.
By using the services of a driver, then you can immediately get off the car in front of the art market. Then, your driver will find a car park for you. By the time you have finished shopping at the Ubud art market, you can ask the driver to pick up in front of the art market.
Opening Hours & Attractiveness
Ubud art market opening hours from 04:00 am – 6:00 pm. Also, no entry fee required to enter the art market area. The best time to visit the traditional art market in Ubud is in the morning, because there is a belief of the Balinese, if they succeed in sales in the morning, mean as a sign as a successful sale for the whole day. This Balinese belief is known as “Pegarus Dagangan.”
Therefore, if you want to shop at Ubud traditional art market and want to get the opportunity to bargain for a lower price, then you should visit the market in the morning, around 09:00 am. Also, by coming to the market early in the morning, the Ubud art market is not too crowded, compared when you visit the market in the afternoon.
The goods sold in Ubud traditional art market is in good quality with a relatively economical price. However, to get a reasonable cost, you need to be an expert in bargaining. While I am not good at negotiation, so I tend to get a higher price compare if my wife makes the negotiation with the same item. For your information, most merchants get the merchandise directly from home artisans, which makes the price of becoming cheaper. Of course, you still need to bargain.

Watch this BEFORE you rent a motorbike in Bali
I'm breaking down for you how to legally ride a motorbike in Bali and what to be aware of during the rental process. A scooter is the best way to get around and explore Bali as taxis can be expensive and require negotiation on pricing. Ride hailing apps like Grab and GoJek don't work in every neighborhood and operate in a shady area of legality.
Renting a scooter is going to cost more in Canggu than in Ubud and daily prices are more expensive than weekly or monthly prices. After two weeks, the monthly price is better than the daily price, so consider renting for the period of a month if you're staying longer than two weeks.
Normal pricing:
Honda Scoopy: 50K per day / 600 or 700K per month
Honda Vario 115: 60K per day / 700K per month
Honda Vario 125/135: 70K per day / 750K per month (Ubud) or 1M-1.2M per month (Canggu)
Honda NMax: 1.5-1.8M per month

Car Rental with driver in Bali is a cheap, fun and relatively safe experience. Despite the apparent madness, motorists are generally tolerant.

Use Grab Bali, Not Taxis | Cheapest Airport Transfer, Better Than Uber, Private Driver
If you're looking for the best and cheapest way to travel in style during your stay on Bali, look no further than your phone and the app Grab. I've been a huge fan since I first moved to Malaysia earlier this year. I use their service Grab Car instead of taxis almost daily in Kuala Lumpur, I've used their drivers the couple of times I've travelled to Singapore, and I used Grab Car instead of taxis or Uber exclusively during my recent month in Bali. From the airport to Jimbaran, in and around Seminyak, from the Sheraton in Kuta to Ubud, and from The Mulia near Uluwatu to the ferry port in Padangbai. They offer the cheapest rides to and and from Denpasar's International airport and their drivers are kind and keep new, well-maintained vehicles.
For copy/paste instructions to share with the driver in Bahasa to tips on using the Grab app all around Bali (including IMPORTANT how-to instructions for flawless airport pick-ups and drop-offs), visit my full review:

Zijn eigen naam: Made Arianta. Daniel is verzonnen door Australische toeristen.

Driving and Refueling in Ubud, Bali
Today we fill up our bikes at Pertamina in Ubud, which is Indonesias national petrol service station chain, in preperation for our 2 and a half hour trip up to Singaraja.
If you're nervous about the process of refilling your bike, or need information about the differences in fuel, check out this video.
Our next video will be about Driving in Bali, so stay tuned for that.

See you all again soon!
Driving in Bali
Here we are driving back from Amed to Badung via Amlapura, Karangasem. The roads are winding and the drivers are a bit wild but nevertheless, you get a wonderful view of the lush and tropical rural areas of Bali. By the way, if you rent a car in Bali, chances are you will be driving a lemon. I'm yet to find a rental car that hasn't been driven into the ground with bald tyres, weak engine and pathetic brakes. So, beware!
