National Parks of the USA | Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Biscayne
Parks are a very important part of a community becoming home for trees and some small animals and a picnic point for people living nearby. A national park is much bigger than a community park. In this kind of park, all the animals and plants are in their natural habitat.
Yellow stone is the world’s first national park. It is in three different states at once, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho which tells us how big this park is. Here you will find some amazing geysers and hot springs.
The Grand Canyon is another famous national park in Arizona. Here you will find huge canyons. This great park was formed by the Colorado River. Scientists have said it took two billion years for this park to be made. Well, nature takes its time.
The most amazing park is the Biscayne national park in Florida. Its something you would have never seen before. Its mostly made of ocean water. It is made of beautiful fish and reefs and other mesmerizing views underwater.
So, what’s your favorite national park?

This 1937 Yellowstone tour bus is the ultimate party cruiser
Here's one to really impress your friends and family: RM Sotheby's will auction a functioning 1937 open-air tour bus complete with an updated powertrain removable canvas roof five doors and a tailgate that was originally made to ferry tourists around the scenic byways of Yellowstone National Park. Mark your calendars for Oct. 5 when this ultimate one-of-a-kind party bus hits the auction block.
The 14-passenger White 706 bus was built by the White Co. out of Cleveland and bodied by Cleveland coach builders Bender as part of the last generation of open-air tour buses for the Yellowstone Park Transportation Co. According to the National Park Service 98 Model 706s of various years were put to use in the park the largest number of National Park buses operating anywhere and a few were in operation as recently as the early 1970s.
Designed by famed Russian-born automotive stylist Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky the buses were originally equipped with a six-cylinder engine on an overbuilt 190-inch wheelbase chassis. Here's what the NPS says about the 1936 version of the bus:

This vehicle like the Model 614 has a 6-cylinder engine although a flathead motor (the mainstay of most auto manufacturers before World War II) as opposed to the more sophisticated and expensive overhead valve engine of the Model 614. It also has a noticeably different body style (most evident by the windshield and front end). Also present on the driver's side is a semaphore turn signal a Wyoming requirement for buses operating in that state. A divided storage compartment or blanket chest is located behind the rear seat and was used to store blankets for passengers' comfort.
The version to be auctioned substitutes a 300-cubic-inch Ford inline-six engine and automatic transmission. It's also got power steering a 1995 Ford F450 master cylinder with power brake booster 12-volt electrical system and electric fuel pump to make it more adaptable to modern driving requirements. And don't forget the removable canvas roof!
Sotheby's expects the bus which is being auctioned in Hershey Pa. to fetch between $30000 and $40000. It comes with period photographs of other Yellowstone buses.

Black Sand Basin - VIDEO TOUR (Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming)
Very close to Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin. Worth a quick stop! Home of the hankerchief geyser, rainbow pool, emerald pool, sunset lake, opalescent pool, cliff geyser, spouter geyser and more!
Black Sand Basin, an isolated group of the Upper Geyser Basin, was originally named the Emerald Group by A.C. Peale in 1878. But turn of the century tourists began calling it Black Sand Basin because of the small fragments of black obsidian sand which cover portions of the basin.
Black Sand Basin contains a small collection of jewel-like geysers, and colorful hot springs. Emerald Pool is the most colorful and famous of these springs. It is a deep emerald green fringed by an outer ring of yellow and orange. Another colorful pool is Opalescent Pool. This recently formed pool inundated a stand of lodgepole pine, creating a stand of white skeletons amidst a rainbow-colored pool. An unusual geyser formed on the bank of Iron Creek. Cliff Geyser formed a rim or wall-like ridge of sinter around its crater from which it erupts 30 to 40 feet high.
The famous Handkerchief Pool was once the drawing attraction to Black Sand Basin. Turn-of-the-century tourists dropped their handkerchiefs into this small spring. Convection currents then whisked their laundry away where it would reappear again at the surface, freshly laundered.

Fort Yellowstone
On August 17, 1886, Capt. Moses Harris and the troops of Company M rode into Yellowstone to take over guardianship of America's first national park. Replacing an underfunded and understaffed civilian administration, the army's assignment in Yellowstone was supposed to be temporary duty. That temporary duty ended up lasting nearly thirty-two years. Lead author of Images of America: Fort Yellowstone, Elizabeth Watry, explores the time-honored legacy of the United States Army in Yellowstone National Park and the enduring cultural identity of the park's headquarters once known as Fort Yellowstone. montanahistoricalsociety.org

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
May 30, 2012. Perhaps next to the awesome Old Faithful Geyser, the impressive Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Natl. Park in Wyoming is one the most thrilling spots to visit in the great US of A. Compared to the grandiose, out of this world The Grand Canyons of Arizona which Cely & I visited in 2000, the Yellowstone version is, well, not a pushover. It's also as spectacular as the Arizona original & the yellow color/ambiance is just as awesome as the red/orange iconic Grand Canyon, one of the wonders of the world. How great is our God, our Creator!

Yellowstone National Park - USA
Yellowstone National Park, established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872, is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, though it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone was the first national park in the world, and is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is dominant.
Native Americans have lived in the Yellowstone region for at least 11,000 years. The region was bypassed during the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the early 1800s. Aside from visits by mountain men during the early to mid-1800s, organized exploration did not begin until the late 1860s. The U.S. Army was commissioned to oversee the park just after its establishment. In 1917, administration of the park was transferred to the National Park Service, which had been created the previous year. Hundreds of structures have been built and are protected for their architectural and historical significance, and researchers have examined more than 1,000 archaeological sites.
Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468 square miles (8,980 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano; it has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining, nearly intact ecosystem in the Earth's northern temperate zone.
Hundreds of species of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles have been documented, including several that are either endangered or threatened. The vast forests and grasslands also include unique species of plants. Grizzly Bears, wolves, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk live in the park. Forest fires occur in the park each year; in the large forest fires of 1988, nearly one third of the park burned. Yellowstone has numerous recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, boating, fishing and sightseeing. Paved roads provide close access to the major geothermal areas as well as some of the lakes and waterfalls. During the winter, visitors often access the park by way of guided tours that use either snow coaches or snowmobile. ( source wikipedia )

Bison Walks Away After Tourist Taunts Animal at Yellowstone National Park
A tourist at Yellowstone National Park thought it would be a good idea to taunt a bison. The man escaped serious injury only because it was the bison who made the decision to walk away. Lindsey Jones shot video of the encounter and spoke to Inside Edition. “I was definitely worried for him!” she said. I was truly nervous that he was going to throw him in the air several feet. I was really scared for the guy, I thought it could've ended really bad. Bison can be aggressive when defending their turf.
