Arthur's Seat Holyrood Park Edinburgh Drone Footage
Arthur's Seat, in the scenic highland park of Holyrood in Edinburgh Scotland, is the site of an ancient Carboniferous volcano that erupted some 340 million years ago. It is easy to notice from first stepping foot here that it has been the site of significant geological and cultural history.
It contains deposits of Carboniferous Rock in relatively pristine conditions for a highland area. Scotland itself is famous for its location of Carboniferous rock and fossils that have endured for hundreds of millions of years.
It contains chapel ruins visible on some of the hills and ancient graves have been discovered there, making it a significant historical part of Scotland's Capital city.
Mythical history points Holyrood park as a site affiliated with the legends of King Arthur and may have been an analogue to Camelot by some interpretations. Arthur's Seat is the name given to the peak of the prehistoric volcano itself.
In any event this is a very beautiful part of Edinburgh and an ideal location to fly a drone, the footage of which I share with you here.

Holyrood Park in Edinburgh
Holyrood Park is a unique historic landscape in the heart of the city, whose dramatic crags and hills give Edinburgh its distinctive skyline. Within the park is a wealth of history and archaeology spanning thousands of years. Arthur's Seat is one of four hill forts, dating from around 2,000 years ago. As well as it's rich cultural heritage, the park offers walks, solace, wildlife, volcanic geology and unparalleled vistas of the city from its many vantage points.
The park is associated with the royal palace of Holyroodhouse and was formerly a 12th-century royal hunting estate.

Hello hello hello! So, the thing is: we don't really have much travel budget this year, but I am not ready to give up my Katventures, so the plan is to show you guys around our city in a series of Edinburger videos!
The first one is from the Holyrood Park, an amazing piece of nature lodged slap bang into the middle of the city (pretty damn amazing if you ask me) and also conveniently placed 5 minute walk away from our apartment.

Satanic Plaque and Altar Unearthed in The Queen’s Holyrood Park in Scotland
In a secluded area of The Queen’s Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, Scotland, archaeologists have unearthed two mysterious objects, including a metal plaque depicting an upside-down pentagram with a horned beast in the center – most likely the demonic entity Baphomet – and an altar with undisclosed “display objects” around the plinth. While news outlets are calling the objects pagan, the symbology appears more associated with satanism and devil worship .
Holyrood, The Seat of Scottish Royals
The Scotsman announced that the satanic objects were found on Whinny Hill above St Margaret’s Loch in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh. Holyrood Park, which is also known as The Queen’s Park, is a royal park that remains part of Holyrood Palace , The Queen’s official residence in Scotland.
Holyrood Park was established by King David I of Scotland in 1128 AD as the royal hunting grounds for Holyrood Abbey. Holyrood Palace, also know as the Royal Palace of Holyroodhouse, started as a lodging within the Abbey but was eventually expanded into a substantial palace which served as the principal residence of the Kings and Queens of Scots since the 16 th century.
So just what are a couple of satanic objects doing in The Queen’s Park?

Holyrood Park, Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland
Hi everyone,
This is my first video for my brand new 'Travel Channel'. The main purpose of making this and the upcoming videos is to make beautiful places available for everyone, especially for those who can't travel here and walk around.
So Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. This area lays in the heart of the city and is one of the most popular places in town. The hills are covered with yellow gorse fields around May and June and the wind carries their lovely fragrance everywhere. The park is well known from Arthur's Seat which is the highest peak of these hills (251m/823ft). From here you can see the surrounding areas near Edinburgh and other tourist attractions like Calton Hill, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh Castle and so on. You can find here also St Margaret's, Dunsapie and Duddingston Lochs which are good places to sit down for a while. Above St Margaret's Loch you can find the ruin of St Anthony's Chapel, was built around the 15th century. It's recommended to visit.
Hope you will enjoy this video! If so, you can LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE for the upcoming shortfims. That would be a kind gesture :)
