The European Hawaii. That's what insiders call Fuerteventura. The easiest way to catch your first wave is to take part at the Homegrown Surfschool.
We offer you a unique surfing experience in a safe and friendly environment. All equipment, surfboards and wetsuits are of the best quality. Being a totally mobile Surfschool we offer transportation in our Surfvehicles (4X4 Land Rovers to get you off road!!) to a variety of the finest beachbreaks of Fuerteventura. Our courses suit all levels and age groups.
You can book the courses with or without accommodation and you can start the course every day of the year (except the 1st of January).

Der einfachste Weg deine erste Welle zu surfen ist ein Surfkurs bei uns in der HOMEGROWN-Surfschule. Wir bieten dir ein einzigartiges Surf Erlebniss in sicherer und freundlicher Umgebung. Unser Material, Surfboards und Neoprenanzüge, sind von bester Qualität und werden kostenlos gestellt. Da unsere Surfschule komplett mobil ist, fahren wir euch in unseren Surfmobilen ( 4x4 LandRover) zu einer Auswahl der besten Surfspots, Stränden und Buchten der Insel.
Unsere Surfkurse sind auf alle Könnerstufen, Alter und Gruppengröße zugeschnitten, Du kannst unsere Surfkurse mit oder ohne Unterkunft (wahlweise Surfcamp oder Hotel) online buchen und jeden Tag und ganzjährig damit anfangen (außer am 1. Januar).

Intermediate reef surf lesson with Homegrown surfschool Fuerteventura
If you already did a surfcourse before, but you want to improve your skills and style, or simply want to surf in a good and safe atmosphere, then this is the level for you.
The surfteachers will evaluate your skills and you will improve your surf learning new tricks.
When you book for an intermediate course you will surf custom made surfboards and have the chance to try different types of boards depending on the waves and your level.

Ready to learn how to catch your first waves?! Here everybody is a beginner, nothing to be ashamed of. You will go surfing everyday and you will make daily progress in your surfing, so after this 6 days course you will be a real surfer. (Also possible to book for a 3 day or 1 day surfcourse, but for a successful evolution in your training we recommend a 6 day course or even better a 2 week course)

Wenn Du schon einen Surfkurs gemacht hast, aber deine Fähigkeit noch verbessern möchtest oder einfach in guter und sichere Atmosphäre surfen willst, dann ist dies der richtige Kurs für Dich.
Unsere Surflehrer werden deine Fähigkeiten analysieren und Dir Tipps geben wie Du sie noch verbessern kannst. Wenn Du dich für einen Fortgeschrittenenkurs entscheidest, wird dein Stil verbessert und du wirst sicherer surfen können. Dieser Kurs findet an den gleichen Stränden wie unsere Anfängerkurse statt.

Fuerteventura is an island of the Canary Islands (Spain), located in the Atlantic Ocean.
It is the largest island of the province, and the second of the Canary Islands
The Canary Islands may be considered the Hawaii of the Atlantic.
Many breakers are located around the island of Fuerteventura, mainly in the north.
The best surfing season is winter, from November to late March, at this time the waves reach easily between 1.5 and 4 meters high.
The main breakers Fuerteventura: Punta Helena (Corralejo), The Wharf (Corralejo), Bristol (Corralejo), Generosa, Majanicho, El Hierro, Esquinzo and El Cotillo.
The best way to know the appropriate breakers at each level is to hire the services of a surfing school in the area where you stay, as these schools also provide transport and equipment rental.
The island has numerous schools and courses dedicated to learning the sport.
Surfing has gone from being a sport practiced by a minority to a lifestyle and a passion shared by millions.
