HONDURAS, the magnificent GOLDEN ALTAR of the CATHEDRAL in TEGUCIGALPA ⛪
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful Central American country of Honduras and let's visit the capital city of Tegucigalpa. We are going to visit the capital's gleaming cathedral which presides over the eastern edge of Plaza Morazán and is named for the city's patron saint, the archangel Michael. The domed structure, flanked by towering palms, has stood on this site since 1765. Earth tremors and rain took their toll on the edifice through the centuries, but after a five-year, $500,000 restoration, completed in 2009, the cathedral is fabulous once again. The restoration project returned the cathedral to its original salmon color. Sunlight streams into the apse, where we will find the glittering gold-and-silver altar sculpted by Guatemalan artist Vicente Galvéz, and which is the subject of this video.
Honduras is a Central American country with Caribbean Sea coastlines to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south. In the tropical rainforest near Guatemala, the ancient Mayan ceremonial site Copán has stone-carved hieroglyphics and stelae, tall stone monuments. In the Caribbean Sea are the Bay Islands, a diving destination that's part of the 1,000km-long Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.

Este vídeo es la recopilación de 15 datos y/o sitios que a mi juicio son curiosos e interesantes sobre Honduras, la información brindada fue investigada en diferentes paginas de Internet y procuré contrastar las información hallada con fuentes mas confiables como la Wikipedia, con el fin de procurar acertar en la información y que esta fuera correcta.
Sin embargo, si llegas a hallar en este vídeo, alguna información que consideres que no es correcta o que este desactualizada, de ante mano pido excusas por ello y puedes expresarlo en los comentarios.
El animo principal de este vídeo es entretener y formarle a la persona que lo vea, una idea de lo que es Honduras y de algunas de sus maravillas y/o datos curiosos y que así de alguna manera puedas conocer un poco mas sobre este país y sobre el mundo.
NOTA:
Este vídeo es la segunda versión del vídeo publicado el 22 feb. 2019 (lo puedes ver en la sección vídeos en mi canal), es un guion nuevo y una edición nueva, por lo cual aunque pueda llegar a tener algunos datos que coincidan, esto solo ocurre por la necesidad de tener esos datos en cuenta para que esta segunda versión fuera lo mas completa que he podido hasta ahora y así brindarle una información mas apropiada a quienes vean este vídeo en un solo vídeo.

We spent a day touring the Archaeological Museum in Athens, which was a treasure trove of artifacts. We shared a few of our favorite highlights from the National Archeological Museum but there are countless more artifacts to be found in the museum with much deeper history. Don't miss a trip to this amazing museum but make sure you bring an audio guide. We used the free Rick Steves Athens National Archaeological Museum audio guide and it was the perfect companion. We took about three hours going through the museum but you could easily spend longer.
