WHAT a spot! Many of you know the HORIZON SURFING CENTER - especially Kitesurfers with family.
Perfect for vacation with family if you stay just at the HORIZON beach resort directly at the spot because you just walk 50m and you are ready to fly.
The owner, Peppe - and his team are really much more friendly as seen on other spots and they care about you in all situations. You don´t need to bring your own equipment. It´s all there and you ride with the latest Kite version, nice windsurf equipment or just rent a SUP, the hobby cat...
If the wind is low, the bring you to other locations, because to have deals with other kitespots at KOS island and a van. So you can go there with your equipment without the need of a car rental. What a nice idea.
We have been there the second time and we were visiting friends already - so it was a pleasure (again) to produce a small film for this wonderful place.

The owner Peppe - Guiseppe Amoroso - talks about his station and you see some nice kiting on the north beach of the island Kos. Next Hotel to Kitestation is Horizon Beach Resort - just about 50 meters! and further Hotelresort Marmari Beach - Magic Life - and Hotel Neptune.
The wind is blowing every day stable between 11 to 18 knots from north and sideshore from west. Water temperature in summer between 24 to 27 degrees celcius. Rescue boat on beach.
They rent everything you need for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing. New Kite equipment from North, Gin and Waymen. All boards and strepless boards. If no wind… SUP as well. 2 Hobbycat Catamarans with experianced crew for rent too.
The swell is bigger in the afternoon but still easy to ride. Beach is big and on the left you can even kite a long distance. Nothing dangerous no rocks, no riff, no crazy animals and no currents.

Fantastic food, very nice and professional staff and THE BIGGEST SANDY BEACH compared to other hotels here.
Enough very nice beach chairs. Beach is clean and you have some showers and cabins for changing clothes there.
In my opinion - nicest looking and well maintained resort.

Die Kitestation Horizon Beach in Mastichari / Kos - im Norden der Insel - Aufnahmen von Juli 2015.
Der Inhaber PEPPE - Giuseppe Moroso - spricht über die Station und ihr seht wie schön es hier zum kiten und windsurfen ist. Das nächste Hotel zur Kitebasis ist das wunderschöne Hotel Resort Horizon beach resort. Nur ca 50m entfernt. Daneben gleich die Resorts Marmari Beach Hotel -Magic Life Club - und Hotel Neptune.
Die Wind bläst stabil jeden Tag durchschnittlich mit 11 bis 18 Knoten von Norden und auch Sideshore von Westen. Das Wasser hat angenehme 24-27 Grad und ist sehr sauber. Der Strand fällt flach ab, es ist viel Platz es gibt keine unangenehmen Dinge wie Steine, Riffs, gefährliche Tiere oder Strömungen. Herrlich.
Zum mieten gibt es alles in neuwertigen Status. Ihr braucht gar nichts mitnehmen! Neueste Kites von North, Gin und Waymen von 7 - 18 Meter. Boards in allen Größen und genug strapless boards. Windsurfequipment von North und Gun sail. 2 Hobbicats mit erfahrener Crew ebenfalls.
Der Beach ist weitläufig und es gibt Platz ohne Ende.
KOS - the forgotten paradise!
In recent times life has become more quickly. We don’t need to think about our daily life anymore; if we are hungry, we order from the delivery service, if we want to talk to someone we just open our apps and get in touch - at any time and any day. This also applies to our travelling and the sport we love so much. We want it easy and we get influenced by Instagram and Facebook, where some “perfect people” tell us where we will have the time of our life! But do we really need someone to tell us where we have to go? Where we will have fun? Where and how we can follow our passion? Why can’t we decide for ourselves? Maybe sometimes we just need to follow our heart to be able to find the answers we are looking for.
Flo Ragossnig and Olli Anderson are presenting an island which once was one of the first windsurfing hotspots in Europe. A place which has been home to many windsurfing enthusiasts but has been forgotten over time. Flo has been working on Kos for 15 years and has seen the transition. Olli is around for 4 years and despite the fact that most youngsters have other places in mind where they can spend their summer, he has lost his heart to this beautiful island. The island we are talking about is KOS - have you heard about it?
This film is not only another windsurfing movie! It is filled with emotions about two windsurfers with quite an age gap, sharing the love for a place and for a sport - the sport which we all love and which keeps our soul free! This film is not dedicated to windsurfers only but to people who share a passion. People who might want to see the beauty of this island through their own eyes!

again... heuer wurde das Horizonbeach Resort und viele Familienzimmer erweitert, 2 Pools, Restaurants etc
Horizonbeach Surf & Kitesurf mit Peppe ist jetzt direkt am Hotel und noch besser platziert. Nach wie vor einer der geilsten Locations mit netten Leuten und tollem Hotel.
Das Hotel sollte sich mehr mit der Surfstation verbinden und besser kooperieren, da viele Gäste deswegen in das Hotel fahren, weil die Kombination Familienurlaub mit Wassersport besser kaum gelöst werden kann.

It has been a great season here at the Surfstation Fun2Fun at the Northshore of Kos. Windsurfers, Kitesurfers and Sailors found what they were looking for: Wind, Sun and nice company on the water!
