In the zoo, you can witness many wild animals. The aviary has a good collection of bright and noisy birds. The zoo is going through a revamping procedure which will add many exciting features to the premise as well as bring in many more species of animals. Sagar Upvan| BPT Garden| Garden Plant| Unknown garden of Mumbai| By kokk
A green patch situated in the South Mumbai, Colaba, the Sagar Upvan is owned by the Mumbai Port Trust and maintained with the help of World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and is truly a nature lover's paradise! Spread over a 12 acres, this garden offers some beautiful sights of the Arabian Sea from one side of the garden.
Beautiful green garden, with sea facing benches, this garden takes you away from the outside world. There is a salty fresh fragrance in the air due to arabian sea. There are nicely arranged walking path for joggers as well as for visitors.
There are hundreds of plants in the garden with special sections on palm trees, medicinal plants, rock garden and cacti section. The bright green flouresentish leaves and purple flowers of duranta plant attract loads of butterflies. The coppersmith barbets, purple-rumped sunbirds and tailor-birds dominate the avian group, while striped squirrels fumble up and down the trees. Bustling garden lizards and skinks come in your way if you wander into the bushes, but if you sit down in one place and just observe, you will be treated to an array of life that lives within these garden limits.
What else? There is also a sewage recycling plant near the garden that was developed by the MPT management so that there would be no shortage of water supply in the area. Apart from recycling the sewage, the plant also ensures a regular supply of water to the garden.

Floral Festival Held at Mumbai Botanic Gardens For Horticulturists.
Floral Festival Held at Mumbai Botanic Gardens For Horticulturists.
Litchi garden in Magura,Jessore, bangladesh.
Lychee grows almost all over Bangladesh but the main areas of cultivation are Jessore, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Khulna, Dhaka, Kushtia, Sylhet and Chittagong districts. Lychee was found to grow well in the Government horticulture centres of three hill districts namely: Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban and also in Jamalpur, Rajbari, Meherpur, Chapainawabgonj and Comilla. The expansion of the lychee area in these districts is relatively slow due to high mortality rate of young lychee plants. Most of the growers as well as extension agents do not have the required knowledge and skill in lychee cultivation as a result of which interested farmers very often fail to establish new orchards.
At present the total area under lychee cultivation is about 4,800 hectares and total annual production is about 12,800 MT.
Should You Visit Rani Baug (Mumbai Zoo) In 2020? | Vlog # 29 |
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The zoo is everyone's favorite place, so today I am at Jijamata Udyaan (Rani Baug) which is a Mumbai Zoo, so recently this Zoo is renovated and its located nearby Byculla Railway Station hence also known as Byculla Zoo which is just 5 minutes walk away.
The main attraction here now is Penguins, but when you see them you won't get any excitement{that's my view and it may differ from person to person)because of they were in action at the time of my visit and standing at one place beneath the A/C blower, I guess they were resting probably????
Some Readable info about Jijamata Udyaan(Rani Baug)
Jijamata Udyan formerly called Rani Baug (meaning Queen's Gardens) after the original British name Victoria Gardens, and now also known as Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan & Zoo.
It is covering 50 acres located at Byculla, in the heart of Mumbai, India. It is the oldest public garden in Mumbai, In 1835, British administration granted a large plot of land in Sewri to the Agro Horticultural Society of Western India for a botanical garden.
That land was later acquired for a European burial ground In 1861, construction of a new garden was commenced on 33 acres in the Mount Estate, Mazgaon (now included in Byculla).
The flora from Sewri garden was transferred to this new garden named Victoria Gardens which was formally opened to the public by [Henry Bartle Frere Family life|Lady Frere] on November 19, 1862.
Agro Horticultural Society of Western India continued to maintain Victoria Gardens till 1873 when the society's end led to the municipal corporation taking over the garden's upkeep.
In 1890 the garden was extended by 15 acres, especially for the zoo.
So these were some information about the Zoo, I remember once it was full of big animals like Lions, Tigers, Bears and lot others, but now (2018) many of the animals are missing at the time of this video even monkeys and some species of Deer are missing but as I mentioned in the video, this Zoo is Upgrading soon.
Now the main question rise Is It Worth Visiting Jijamata Udyaan (Rani Baug) in 2019? to find out Watch Full video and or else Read this description.
I hope it will be the same as before with all the Animals I truly wish, I hope you have Liked my Video Consider Subscribing My Channel Thank You and You have a Great Day Ahead Cheers????✌

Bombay Blues - Mumbai's first moving garden at Vaikunth Flower Show
Blues is a genre and musical form originated by the Africans in the 19th century. The blues form is in jazz, rhythm & blues, and rock & roll.
The era from the 1930s to the 1950s is often called ‘the golden age of jazz’ in India. India’s freedom struggle against the British had reached a crucial stage. There was also a great sense of political freedom, which was being transmitted into the arts.
Goan jazz musicians in Bombay also worked in the Bollywood film industry and were responsible for the jazz and swing in Hindi film music and linked the world of jazz with Indian classical music.
The Bombay Blues is Mumbai’s first moving garden at the Vaikunth Flower Show, powered by Piramal Realty.
Register at PiramalRealty.com to visit till Jan 15, 2017 from 4-6pm.

On a sunny morning, peacocks, march in a procession across a narrow path lined with mulberry trees. Nearby, cows lazily graze, hens cackle, rabbits squeak and hop, swarming bees hum on a hive, ducks waddle. In this idyllic 40-acre farm in Patan Kala, Rajasthan, 90 km from Delhi, some of the animals are for sale. The ducks are not. The ducks are my natural pest control, says Ayesha Grewal, owner of the Organic Acres farm. In what way? The ducks feed on mosquito pupae. They also feast on snails and other pests, protecting the greens and other vegetables the farm produces - 13 varieties of lettuce, including Boston, Bibb, Lola Rosa and Batavia, white turnips, golden beetroots, Caribbean peppers such as Scotch Bonnet, asparagus, artichokes, fennel, and Okahijiki, a Japanese land seaweed.
In India, such produce is exotic. Until recently, none of these would have been cultivated here. High street restaurants imported everything - from salad leaves to European vegetables - to dazzle well-heeled customers who paid handsomely for their Arugula and Baby Radish Salad or the Heirloom Tomato (non-hybrid tomato whose seeds are typically passed down generations) Bruschetta. Domestic production of exotic vegetables, however, has been growing at a fast clip over the last three years. Farms catering to exotic greens have mushroomed too - in Manesar, Haryana (near Delhi), Pune, Bangalore, and Mysore. Their clientele are mostly restaurants in five-star hotels. Some of the produce is finding their way into retail shops as well.

Relaxing at Cubbon Park in Bangalore, India
Modern present days of our life has become so hectic that everyone sought to take a break for getting refreshment. Taking a stroll in the park and chatting sitting with friends on the park bench on a lazy day seems to be the most suitable option. People walking along the garden paths, sitting and chatting, children playing with their parents in Cubbon Park on a afternoon, spending time with their families enjoying their day seems to be the perfect option for
refreshment for them. State Central Library near Cubbon Park can also be seen.
The Cubbon Park, officially known as Sri. Chamarajendra Park, is an historic park, located in the heart of city in the Central Administrative Area. The park provides sylvan surroundings to the State Legislature building- the Vidhana Soudha, the High Court Buildings – the Attara Kacheri and a number of other organizations located along the periphery and within the park which constitute the Central Administrative Area. The Cubbon Park has a history of over 100 years. It was established in the year 1870 by Sri John Meade, the then acting Commissioner of Mysore. The vast landscape of the park was conceived by Major General Richard Sankey, the then Chief Engineer of the State. As a mark of honour to Sri John Meade, the park was initially named as Meade’s Park and subsequently it was called the Cubbon Park. Since the inception of the park, it was developed and improved by adding new structures and features. In the year 1927, the park was officially renamed as Sri. Chamarajendra Park to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sri. Krishnaraja Wodeyar’s rule in Mysore State.
Cubbon Park is under the control of the Department of Horticulture. The Deputy Director of Horticulture (Cubbon Park) is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the park.

From a 'Remote Suburb' to 'Garden City'
Getting people to move to a remote suburb meant attracting them with a quality of life that couldn't be found anywhere else in Mumbai. The secret was the lush green gardens, the aim was to create a township within the garden. It is no surprise that space is a constraint in Mumbai, but Hiranandani made no compensation for land use and ensured that more than half of the township was covered with greenery for recreational use.

Small taste of Bangalore's Bonsai Park
The great Bonsai Park in Bangalore. Come to visit this amazing place. Spend a fulfilling day among family and/or friends watching the most diverse kinds of Bonsai. Here's a little taste of what you could experience.
Lal Bagh or Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, meaning The Red Garden in English, is a well known botanical garden in southern Bangalore, India. The garden was originally commissioned by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, and later finished by his son Tipu Sultan. It has a famous glass house which hosts an annual flower show. Lal Bagh houses India's largest collection of tropical plants, has an aquarium and a lake, and is one of the main tourist attractions in Bangalore.
Hyder Ali commissioned the building of this garden in 1760 but his son, Tipu Sultan, completed it. Hyder Ali decided to create this garden on the lines of the Mughal Gardens that were gaining popularity during his time. Hyder Ali laid out these famous botanical gardens and his son added horticultural wealth to them by importing trees and plants from several countries. Hyder Ali deployed people from Thigala Community who were extremely good in gardening. The Lal Bagh Gardens were commissioned by the 18th century and over the years it acquired India's first lawn-clock and the subcontinent's largest collection of rare plants.
In 1874, Lal bagh had an area of 45 acres (180,000 m2). In 1889, 30 acres were added to the eastern side, followed by 13 acres in 1891 including the rock with Kempegowda tower and 94 acres more in 1894 on the eastern side just below the rock bringing it to a total of 188 acres (760,000 m2). The foundation stone for the Glass House, modelled on London's Crystal Palace was laid on 30 November '1898?' by Prince Albert Victor and was built John Cameron, the then superintendent of Lalbagh.
