ŜANĜO Zmiana Wibracji Ziemi - 23 Międzynarodowy Festiwal Drum Fest Opole 2014
ŜANĜO to zespół powołany do istnienia i prowadzony przez Kamila Rogińskiego od 2011 roku. Grupa prezentuje muzykę i taniec wpisujące się w nurt World Music – Muzyka Świata.
Zespół prezentuje muzykę i taniec wpisując się w nurt World Music – Muzyka Świata.

A Holocaust Survivor Returns to Poland
After centuries of often violent anti-Semitism–since long before, during and after World War II–the government of Poland recently opened a new museum honoring the role of Jews in Polish history. That occasion prompted Dasha Rittenberg of New York, a Holocaust survivor, to go back to Poland to see if and how much it has changed. Filmmaker Menachem Daum follows Rittenberg’s journey to her grandfather’s grave site, the dedication ceremony for the new museum, and her meeting with a Polish Catholic bishop.

Polish tango 1938: Mieczysław Fogg - Nadzieja (A Hope)
Mieczysław Fogg & Ork. Syrena-Rekord – Nadzieja (A Hope/ Is What You Should Never Loose) tango (St. Laudan), Syrena-Electro, 1938 (Polish)
NOTE: The composer and lyricist of this tango is Stanisław LANDAU (pseud. Laudan) – Polish pianist, singer and composer of the interwar period, who was popular for his interpretations of the urban folkloristic songs. Born in Lwów (today in Ukraine) he however tied his artistic life with Cracow and he wrote many songs devoted to that city and its downtown folklore. In 1930s, Stanisław Landau – whose artistic pseudonym was Laudan – also performed with his own dance-jazz orchestra Banda in the night clubs and theatres of Cracow and Warsaw. In 1939 after attack of Germany on Poland, Stanisław Laudan managed to escape to Russia, where he found a job in the jazz band arranged by a trumpeter and dance band leader Ady Rosner: his friend from Poland. When the Polish Army in exile was formed in Kazakchstan under leadership of general Władysław Anders, Laudan joined it and followed its combat trail until the end of the 2nd World War. After 1945, Laudan settled in England where he was very active as singer, dance band leader, writer and music manager (for some time he cooperated with the Oriole records). He died in 1992 in London.
As a slideshow to this lovely tango, I selected some prewar photos of Cracow – the beloved city of Stanisław Laudan. The tango composed by him is sung by Polish “king of prewar song”, Mieczysław Fogg.

VIRGIN TERRITORY Premiered at The Place London in Nov 2016 TO SEE press reviews
With Vincent Dance Theatre’s trademark black humour, VIRGIN TERRITORY takes an uncompromising look at what it's like for young people to live in an over-sexualised, digitally captured world.
Four adults and four children negotiate some uncomfortable truths about the culture we live in, where bodies are exposed, identities are faked and our deepest truths remain hidden. Janusz Orlik is one of those performers.
Janusz Orlik, after graduating from ballet school in Warsaw became a student of Brucknerkonservatorium Linz (AT). During his studies he became a founding member of x.IDA Dance Co. and performed in productions created by Olga Cobos, Peter Mika, Catherine Guérin, Rebekka Murgi, Nicole Caccivio, Charlotte Vincent. Since 2002 Janusz has been a regular member of Vincent Dance Theatre (GB). Simultaneously, Janusz creates his own choreographic works, including “Exérèse monobloc” (2004), “and thy neighbour as thyself” (2006), “Live on stage” (2008), “The Rite of Spring” (2011), “Insight” (2013). The latter given Special Award of The Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland for Janusz Orlik and Joanna Leśnierowska for the best choreography granted as part of Polish Dance Platform 2014. In 2007 he performed in “nothing” by towarzystwo gimnastyczne and in 2009 in “Happy” by Nigel Charnock, in which he was also involved as choreographer’s assistant. In 2010 he joined Kwaad Bloed Company (BE) performing in “Forces”. In 2011 he joined Nigel Charnock + Company (GB) to create new work “Ten Men”. In the same year he collaborated and performed in “Reconstruction” by Joanna Leśnierowska and in 2012 with Gary Clarke (GB) performing in “Horsemeat”. In 2013 he began a collaboration with Daniel Landau (IL).
