Chiesa fortificata di Hrastovlje
Chiesa romanica della Santissima Trinità, costruita tra il XII ed il XIII secolo e fortificata con mura nel XVI.
Molto particolare all'interno l'affresco di una danza macabra. Il dipinto risale al XV secolo.

In uno scenario di incomparabile bellezza, vegliata dalla statua della Savrina, nascosta dalle sue mura di pietra, sta da secoli la magnifica chiesetta della SS.Trinità di Hrastovlje, villaggio sloveno sotto il comune di Capodistria.
Riscoperti per caso nel 1949 sotto diversi strati di calce che li avevano coperti, sono oggi un gioiello noto in tutto il mondo in particolare per la rara Danza Macabra.
Gli affreschi ricoprono pareti e volte della chiesa e hanno un sotteso risvolto ermetico.

The Dance of the Dead
La chiesetta di Hrastovlje (Cristoglie) Slovenia (SLO) è dedicata alla Trinità ed è completamente affrescata. Quindi oltre alla Danza della Morte contiene numerosi altri affreschi che illustrano episodi della Bibbia e dei Vangeli; è una sorta di Bibbia illustrata ad uso dei fedeli. Questo ciclo di affreschi è stato scoperto solo nel 1950 e successivamente sottoposto a restauro. Lautore è Giovanni da Castua che li dipinse nel 1490. Rispetto alla altre Danze della Morte questa ha alcune particolarità: ha un andamento da destra a sinistra e gli scheletri anziché ballare sembra che sfilino in direzione di un altro scheletro seduto in cattedra che tiene aperto il coperchio di una tomba nella quale sono destinati ad entrare tutti gli 11 personaggi ritratti: il papa, il re, la regina, il cardinale, il vescovo, il monaco, il borghese, lusuraio, il giovane, lo storpio ed infine un bambino. Gli altri affreschi rappresentano le stagioni con le diverse attività legate a ciascuna: a luglio la mietitura del frumento, a settembre la vendemmia, a novembre la macellazione del maiale, ecc

29.6.2013 - Hrastovlje so vasica pod Kraškim robom, ki lahko popotniku marsikaj ponudi. V sebi, med drugim, skriva svetovno znan dragulj- cerkev svete Trojice, s srednjeveškimi freskami. Njihova globoka sporočilnost prevzame vsakogar. Zato ni naključje, da je vasici koprska Turistična organizacija namenila projekt- Doživi Hrastovlje. Z njim želi spodbujati ogled tega kraja z bogato kulturno dediščino.

Why REYLO IS NOT Death And The Maiden” written and narrated by Emrys.
Abrams uses Death and the Maiden as a very brief allusion for misdirection.
Death and the Maiden is not a love story in that opposites attract to each other. It is a tale of obsession, torture, and and the tragic end of the maiden. Death, in this trope, is usually seen as a skeleton or an old man. The maiden is usually in her teens and is vulnerable and usually scantly clothed or naked... Most of the art depicts torture of maiden or celebration of her death.
