Shenzhen, China International Garden and Flower Expo Park Shenzhen
Here are highlights from my visit to the Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park. I visited in November, and was surprised to see how verdant the park is. I was staying in the Longhua Area, and this park is a quick and reasonably priced taxi ride. I was joined by Brian Li, Yu Hong Li, and Fu Min Huang.

Overlooking Futian CBD/福田区 - Shenzhen/深圳
I went with my brother to the V Hotel in Huanggang Business Center (268m). If you go to the top floor during the morning or afternoon and ask nicely they will let you go to the private dining rooms and have an awesome view over Shenzhen's CBD and Central Park, Huanggang and Shuiwei Village and views to HuaQiangBei, Luohu District and even WuTong Mountain (East) or the Shenzhen Bay Bridge in Shekou.

The Luohu Port (simplified Chinese: 罗湖口岸, pinyin: Luóhú Kǒu'àn) is a port of entry of the People's Republic of China (PRC), located in Luohu District of Shenzhen in China, on the border of China with Hong Kong. Its counterpart in Hong Kong is the Lo Wu Control Point.

According to the Luohu District People's Government, Luohu Port is the busiest land border crossing in the world.[1]. However, statistics show that it is the third busiest in the world. The port of entry is operated by the Bureau of Exit and Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security, and the General Administration of Customs.
It is served by Shenzhen railway station of the Guangshen Railway (formerly the Canton-Kowloon Railway Chinese Section), and Luohu station of the Shenzhen Metro, whereas its counterpart in Hong Kong is interconnected with Lo Wu station on the East Rail Line, formerly the Kowloon-Canton Railway British Section.

Dafen Oil Painting Village Shenzhen China
Last January I went to Dafen Oil Painting Village, It's located in Longgang, Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. In the early 1990s a group of about twenty artists under the leadership of the painter and businessman Huang Jiang took up residence in this town. They specialised in the making of large numbers of replicas of oil paintings by masters such as Van Gogh, Dalí, da Vinci, Rembrandt or Warhol

Longgang SWI foster home Shenzhen China part 1
We visited a model family/foster home for the Longgang SWI in Shenzhen, China on 4/21/11. Our son Hudson (Li Futian, dark blue shirt) lived there for two years until his adoption. Two other boys (Xiao Xiong & Huang Huang Hui, both in red shirts) from this were adopted by the Stengel family the same week as part of our Madison Adoption Agency travel group. The three social workers (2 aunts, one uncle) are shown in the video. They spend days with the children and take turns spending the night in the 3 story building. I tried to get a little bit of video of each child. Our guide Connie, two administrators from Longgnag SWI, my son Logan (green shirt), and the Carter family are also shown in the video.
I did really feel that the kids were being well taken care of and shared a lot of love in the foster home.

How To Go [EASIER & FASTER] From SHENZHEN To HONG KONG
Passengers having passed customs can take an East Train (东铁) at Kowloon-Canton Company (九广铁路公司) to Hong Kong. The train runs through 14 stations, which are: Lo Wo Station (namely Luohu Station, 罗湖站), Sheung Shui Station (上水站), Fanling Station (粉岭站), Tai Wo Station (太和站), University Station (大学站), Fo Tan Station (火炭站), Sha Tin Station (沙田站), Tai Wai Station (大围站), Kowloon Tong Station (九龙塘站), Mong Kok Station (旺角站), Hung Hom Station (红磡站) and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (尖东站).
Futian Port is located in Yufeng Road, Futian District (福田区裕丰路) and the service time is 06:30–24:00.
Passengers having passed customs can take the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line (香港地铁落马洲支线) direct to Hong Kong, such as Kowloon Tong (九龙塘), Mong Kok (旺角), Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀), Causeway Bay (铜锣湾), Wanchai (湾仔) and Central (中环).
Passengers also can take a coach to Hong Kong in B1. For passengers want to go to Hong Kong International Airport: taking a coach to Yuen Long (元朗), getting off at Yuen Long Dongtou Village (元朗东头村), walking across the road, and then transfer to Airport Line E14.
The service time for Huanggang Port is 24 hours a day, and the length time for passing customs is less than 25 minutes. Passengers can take a bus at Huanggang Port to different places in Hong Kong, such as Wai Chai Pier, Jinshang Lu Rail Station, Hong Kong International Airport and Austin Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Huanggang Port (皇岗口岸) is popular with the locals, but unless you are familiar with the bus options or wish to use taxis, it is best to use one of the others, as there is no Shenzhen metro there. However, it is the only one open 24 hours a day.
