EPIC Drone Footage Of Stone Mountain State Park In NC
On the Allegheny and Wilkes county lines in North Carolina you will find one of the coolest NC State Parks, Stone Mountain. It is 11 miles from our home and is one of our favorite places to visit. It rises over 600 feet in the air and the distinctive brown stained granite can be seen for miles. It is home to many hiking trails and vistas. The old barns and log cabins from the Hutchinson Homestead dates back to the mid-19th century and is worth the visit alone. There’s a campground and lots of creeks, including the one Carrie named Carrie Slippery Rock a few years ago.
Lynn and I visited Sunday and of course I took the new drone and for the first time we got to see what the granite mountain ranges looks like if you happen to be a bird. Say what you will about our home state, NC, but the diversity of nature’s beauty across the state is hard to beat. Lynn and I are fortunate that we get to spend so much time exploring the awesome parks, towns and restaurants from the sea to the mountains here in NC. Our videos can in no way fully represent the beauty of these special places but it is our hope that they will at least inspire you to turn off the TV, pack a backpack and head out to experience them for yourselves.

Wolf Rock, Cedar Rock, and Waterfalls at Stone Mountain State Park, NC
Wolf Rock, Cedar Rock, Stone Mountain Falls, Stone Mountain State Park, North Carolina
I recently spent a weekend at Stone Mountain State Park, located in Alleghany and Wilkes Counties, near the communities of Traphill, Thurmond, and Roaring Gap, in northwestern North Carolina. This is a spectacular state park and I've made a few visits here over the years. It can be a busy place so go early if you prefer any solitude.
In this episode, I hike out of the campground to the Upper Lot Access area and took the Connector Trail over to the Stone Mountain Loop Trail. I hiked the loop in a clockwise direction and headed down to Stone Mountain Falls, a fantastic 200 foot slide waterfall on Big Sandy Creek. After checking out the falls, I continued along the Stone Mountain Loop Trail until reaching the Cedar Rock Trail. I hiked up to the Cedar Rock formation and then continued on to the spectacular Wolf Rock. On this portion of the hike, the only part of the park I had not previously visited was Wolf Rock.
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for Part 2!

Phantom 3 drone video at Stone Mountain State Park, NC 8.22.18
This is a Phantom 3 drone flight in front
of, and around, Stone Mountain, in Wilkes
and Alleghany Counties. It had rained earlier,
but there was a break in the weather, which
made this flight possible. This is a series
of videos that include the Hutchinson Cabin,
the old Country Store that leads up to the
park, and the huge granite Stone Mountain
itself. It was a beautiful summer evening,
at one of the most beautiful state parks
in North Carolina. Background music by my
late, and great, step-father Charles Tesh

SUMMARY
=======
This is a piece on history of women in the United States since 1776, and of the Thirteen Colonies before that. The study of women's history has been a major scholarly and popular field, with many scholarly books and articles, museum exhibits, and courses in schools and universities. The roles of women were long ignored in textbooks and popular histories. By the 1960s, women were being presented as successful as male roles. An early feminist approach underscored their victimization and inferior status at the hands of men. In the 21st century writers have emphasized the distinctive strengths displayed inside the community of women, with special concern for minorities among women.

SUMMARY
=======
A timeline of United States inventions (1890–1945) encompasses the ingenuity and innovative advancements of the United States within a historical context, dating from the Progressive Era to the end of World War II, which have been achieved by inventors who are either native-born or naturalized citizens of the United States. Copyright protection secures a person's right to his or her first-to-invent claim of the original invention in question, highlighted in Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution which gives the following enumerated power to the United States Congress:
In 1641, the first patent in North America was issued to Samuel Winslow by the General Court of Massachusetts for a new method of making salt. On April 10, 1790, President George Washington signed the Patent Act of 1790 (1 Stat. 109) into law which proclaimed that patents were to be authorized for any useful art, manufacture, engine, machine, or device, or any improvement therein not before known or used. On July 31, 1790, Samuel Hopkins of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, became the first person in the United States to file and to be granted a patent under the new U.S. patent statute. The Patent Act of 1836 (Ch. 357, 5 Stat. 117) further clarified United States patent law to the extent of establishing a patent office where patent applications are filed, processed, and granted, contingent upon the language and scope of the claimant's invention, for a patent term of 14 years with an extension of up to an additional 7 years.From 1836 to 2011, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted a total of 7,861,317 patents relating to several well-known inventions appearing throughout the timeline below. Some examples of patented inventions between the years 1890 and 1945 include John Froelich's tractor (1892), Ransom Eli Olds' assembly line (1901), Willis Carrier's air-conditioning (1902), the Wright Brothers' airplane (1903), and Robert H. Goddard's liquid-fuel rocket (1926).
